Dr. Robert Paul Matsko JR.

He has been my doctor for 22 years. He is very knowledgeable and actually listens. He is leaving the Marysville Practice. Very disappointed ??

Office staff, Kathy in particular, is very disrespectful. Stated she was sure it was not true when I told her that Amber Thomas only ever saw me virtually since she became my nurse practitioner. I requested to see the nurse practitioner that's covering for Amber in a virtual visit and she told me I probably couldn't because it was her first time seeing me. I told her to check my chart and she would see that I was correct. But Kathy refused and said she was hanging up because I was trying to start a fight. She also brought in other staff to listen to the conversation so they could side with her should I make a complaint. Very shady and does not foster trust to be called a liar. Very disappointed that Holy Spirit allows such behavior by their staff. One look at my chart to see that I was correct and an apology was all I wanted. Matsko has been our family doctor office for at least 30 years. Once in a while we get a "lets get this over with" feeling from the doctor but besides those few brief times, this office has been good. Grew up with his dad being our doc.

Save yourself money... Don't see anyone except Dr. Matsko Jr.

I do not like going to the Doctors Office, but Matsko is the best Doctor I ever had. Great Guy. The staff is good. I only had 1 issue ever and thats probably over 10+ years of going there.

***This review is not for the doctor's bedside manner but rather for the customer service*** I had an appointment today and was half an hour late. The weather was not good; it's raining and my uber driver got lost on top of that, also, the roads leading to the office are very windy and covered in hard gravel as there is construction being done in the area which made for a confusing and bumpy ride. His staff checked in with him and asked if he would still see me, he refused. Granted he prob has no idea the kind of trouble I went through to go and see him, but I feel like he should have made an exception due to the bad weather. Even if I was told that I would have had to wait to see him, I wouldn't have minded, the office was empty. Would I book an appointment to see this doctor again? I had to find a new PCP after moving to the area. He was recommended to me by my husband and I couldn't be happier. He is absolutely amazing. He actually takes his time with you, gets to know you as a person, listens to your concerns, values pt. input in their care, and works out a plan with you. He's very easy to communicate with when I need to refill scripts. I couldn't think more highly of a doctor, and recommend him to anyone who is looking for a PCP. I absolutely despise going to the doctor, hospital, even the pharmacy. Dr. Matsko Jr., however, is the exception. He is thorough, beyond brilliant when it comes to recalling information, and HE ACTUALLY CARES. When I was due for my annual physical, I was uninsured, therefore had to pay cash. Knowing this, per his own decision, he did not order/perform a lot of the most expensive parts, which I consented to skip. He asks how the rest of my family is, as they've been coming there for years. (I'm a transplant from Baltimore). He is always quick to respond to questions or concerns, his nurse is efficient and also very responsive. The administrative staff is so helpful and always provide customer service that goes above and beyond their 'job description.' I do not loathe going to my PCP any longer, I actually get excited. Even the triage nurse is filled with pleasant, yet informative, conversation. There are sometimes super awesome stickers at the end, too. Adults can still rock a sticker, and I do it with pride. Scheduling is very tight there, because they are so wonderful, so a missed appointment is not surprising if you are running behind. Perhaps a phone call letting them know would help, but it depends on the day and the workload. Everyone else shouldn't be forced to wait just because traffic, construction, etc. happened. This is a very efficiently ran office and I can't wait to see them soon to get my annual follow-up and flu shot. :) I say they are 7 star workers, but google and their rules..blah blah. The staff were very friendly. It is wheelchair accessible.
