Absolutely DO NOT recommend Dr. Keating at all. My husband's surgery was a horrible experience.
Trisha, nurse, she was terrific on getting an appointment set up as soon as possible for a procedure. Dr Keating was thorough and accommodating as he agreed to fit my procedure in at the very end of the day. Appreciated very much!
Great guy. Easy to be comfortable around. He's doing my surgery at 1:00 pm to day. Let's all wish him good luck,
Dr. Keating saved my life. I've had his services twice for a total of three surgeries. There is no other Dr. who has the compassion, concern or God-given talent than he. He is modest and soft-spoken which classifies him as a different caliber type physician but he never once a avoided any of my many questions. He thoroughly explained the procedures about to be performed and provided excellent in-patient care (3 weeks) and recovery has gone very well. I would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat. I had a very good experience with keating. He removed pilinidal cyst and I had to pack the wound afterwords but had virtually no pain post op. Almost healed up and only been 3.5 weeks
Dr. Keating was condescending to me and all of the nurses and staff. He seemed as if answering questions was an inconvenience. I would not recommend his care if you want a person to show care and compassion.

Would not recommend, he caused me to have two other surgeries at the University of Iowa to fix my first one.
Dr. Keating took excellent care of my family member and answered all our questions. He was professional and personable and we were extremely happy with the surgery. 5 stars!

Dr Keating performed my emergency appendix, my hernia, and my partial thyroid surgeries. He was very wonderful to deal with and I have the most minute scars because of his skill.
