Robert G Holston

The last time I saw Dr Holston was about 6 years ago. I was 17 and had just had my second child. I came to him about being angry out of nowhere, for no reason at all. I told him I’d feel this rage inside and just start throwing things. He laughed in my face and said “You’re a teenage girl, it’s just a phase”. That sentence has haunted me for years. I left feeling ashamed. He didn’t take into account of my depression and anxiety, nor the fact I have had a suicide attempt before. He didn’t play into the fact that I had just had a child. Turns out I had Post Partum Depression with raging anger. I refused to go to doctors about what was happening because of his negligence in looking into what was going on. Which caused me and my family hell moving forward as my PPD progressed into me not even knowing who I was and unable to control myself. I have always needed closure in this situation and tried calling to just tell this before posting a review, but of course- no one answered during business hours. I have never been the same since that and I will NEVER get back the year/year and a half I put myself and everyone through. Do better. To anyone reading this, please, find a different doctor who will listen to you and care about you.

I've been going to Dr Holston for about 3 to 4 years now . Dr Holston has been very great to me , always concerned about my health , always gracious to see me , always on point with referrals , and always makes sure I'm takin care of.

They say they don't care about none of their patients well being or health

This man has just about killed my father. He went in for a headache lasting 3 weeks with a stiff neck. My dad complained of neck stiffness and blurred vision. He sent him home with a steroid pack and did NO imaging. He is currently in the ICU because of this doctors careless actions. He has had blood on his brain for 3 WEEKS, has a 50/50 chance of survival right now. I am BEYOND disgusted with his poor care from this doctor. DO not send your loved ones to this man. I am a new patient and Dr. Holston didn't hesitate to take me into his care. I have been three times so far and I am very well pleased.

LISTEN TO ME. I am 19 years old and i suffer from PANCREATIC CANCER. My organs are shutting down, i have been in and out of the hospital since i was 16. He was assigned to me. ALL I NEEDED was a REFERRAL to see a specialist and he DENIED ME. BECAUSE I REFUSE TO TAKE PILLS. He proceeded to get rude with me because i told him i have seen what pills do to people. I went to this doctor today for the first time because my last physician moved away. Robert Holston was ASSIGNED TO ME by my insurance as my PCP. I am currently filing for disability because of a brain injury that occurred from a stroke. I was on life support for 10’days, and in the hospital for a month, and I needed a Doctors Opinion form filled out. I DIDN’T NEED MEDS of any kind, all I needed was AN OPINION. I brought in all of my medical records, and medications. I see a neurologist and a pain clinic every month for medications, but I am required to have a general physician for my case. Again, he was ASSIGNED TO ME by Cigna. Again, I didn’t need anything but his opinion. That’s it! This quack walked into the room and looked at me and said he was “refusing my case.” I asked him if he could explain why, and his exact words were, “You can ask but I won’t tell you. I don’t have to explain myself!” He was hateful and condescending. When I pressed him for an answer he replied, “DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THE SENTENCE ‘NO?’ I’ve never been treated so poorly, so hatefully by a doctor in all my life!!! Again, all I needed was an opinion! I told him I was going to report him, and and our encounter, and he said, “I don’t care if you report it to the world!” So that’s what I’m doing. Yes I was hateful BACK to him. I was steaming mad and he had the nerve to ask me why I was being that way!!! He deserved much worse! I have already filed two formal complaints with the state of TN medical board, and with Cigna, and I’m just getting started! Stay away from this guy! He doesn’t care about people and he’s not afraid to tell you he doesn’t care! I have never done a google review before, but I had to warn you about him. I would give him -5 stars if I could. Wonderful doctor and staff he really cares about his patience

Ive been seeing dr holston for about 8 years now he is wonderful sits and listens to everything and treats me with respect and compassion. Always is positive attitude and gets me to my specialists easy.i also had a pap done and it was professional and not awkward thank you doc!

Dr. Holston takes wonderful care of myself and my children. He takes the time and is so very caring. He was a rock for us when we lost one of our children.

Been going to him for 7+ years he's never listened to a word I've said, never taken notes and does not care about his patients well being.

Me and my fiancée went today to be treated for an infected toenail, and a few other issues. This doctor was rude and judgemental! Because my fiancé was on a certain mecication he was told he couldnt be trusted and that he refused to help him. We just formally filed a complaint with the state of Tennessee as well as the insurance company! I do not care how long he haa been in practice, he can not treat human beings like that. We will take this as far as we can to insure he does not treat others that way. He refused the wrong type of people because we wont let this go.!! Dr. Holston has been my doctor for over 20 years. I couldn't ask for a better physician.

Dr. Holston has been my doctor for years. He and his office staff are friendly and ask the right questions to get me the best care. Dr. Holston has always seemed genuinely interested in my health issues along with my general life and well being. He's a great physician.

He's my Dr. Has been for years. So I made appt 4 my mom since primary Dr. was full. She was in a car wreck &still has sore ribs. Just wanted her rechecked been a few weeks since hospital visit. She has multiple sclerosis and rhemutary arthritis. Instead he was rude & told her he couldn't treat her as patient without any explanation, never asked why we were there! If her case was to much then say so. Don't make patient feel like they did something wrong. I feel awful for taking her there.

I would not recommend this doctor at all since when is it alright to refuse a patient care isn't there oath that a doctor takes. if you don't want to treat a patient then close your doors you are not a doctor
