My referral to Dr Higginbotham, overwhelmingly proved to be right on for my ophthalmology surgical needs. He immediately showed genuine sincere care for my issues, professionalism, shared his viable solutions to solve my eye problems, and his vast experience in his field of medicine immediately apparent to me. I felt confident and secure, as Dr. Higginbotham guided me with replacement lens options, to select from, in order to decide on my best possible outcome after my needed eye lens replacement surgery, and my personal lifestyle. Thank you Dr. Higginbotham!!!

Always feel I am in good hands and getting careful and expert care with Dr.Higginbotham. He was equally good with my mother who was in her late eighties when he treated her cataracts.

Completely trust Dr. Higg to do an A plus examination and treatment. Stephania (not sure I got the name right - the lady whose bday is Feb. 13) was an absolute joy to know. She measured the eye pressures.

Dr Higgy is highly knowledgeable, and is willing to describe situations, and offer explanations that are useful and helpful. He shows us using the diagrams on the wall . Dr. is friendly and at ease, making us more relaxed. We are very willing to share information with others.

Dr H is caring and knowledgeable with a great sense of humor.

Dr. Higginbothan was excellent in explaining details. His very qualified staff were also professional - Vanessa & Kristen.

Dr Higginbotham has been my Ophthalmologist for over 35 years. I implicitly trust him with my eye health. I was one of the first patients to get successful PRK Laser Surgery from SLO County. At the time I was a competitive Triathlete, swimmer, and taught swimming full time. In my career as an Aquatic Physical Therapist I counted on my excellent vision; constantly in and out of the water without the need for glasses. Fast forward to present time… Normal progression of cataracts due to age took me to Dr Higginbotham to have him remove my cataracts and improve my vision with Multifocal lenses. Easier said than done. I presented not only with cataracts, but extremely dry eye from a recent Parkinson’s disease diagnosis. Also, unknown to me and Dr Higginbotham, I was to later develop Vertigo from a previous TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). Dr Higginbotham has not only substantially improved my vision with Laser Surgery, but has worked with his right hand LASIK Surgery Director, Lura Wilson,COA; to give me the best vision possible. Both have given me unwavering support, even in the face of many obstacles and challenges.. Dr. Higginbotham is still to this day offering me everything he can possibly, professionally, do with the latest technology to provide me with the best vision. Most doctors would have given up on me as soon as my case became “difficult”. Not Dr. H and Lura. Now, answer this question…Who do you want in charge of your eye care? Thanks so very, very much! T.C. I searched for about a year for a doctor to do my Cataracts taking a personal polI… talked to lots and lots of people. They had either had their cataracts done in the area or knew of someone who had. In the end, Everyone I spoke with that had gone to Dr. Higginbotham spoke highly of his expertise / care and were extremely happy with their results. Not true of all Doctors people talked about! I had both eyes done within about 2 weeks and could not be happier. ??????????

I was under sedation but awake for the operation which was fairly brief and completely painless. The post-op has gone smoothly as well, no surprises, though I carefully follow the post-op regimen. Finally! Finally! A doctor who doesn't act like a MACHINE, as seems is the way with health type people. He was actually kind and personable, and didn't treat me like a number! Made me feel right at ease.

After my eye surgery my vision was much worse . I rreceived no explaintion. Surgery was done by doctor Higginbotham. I feel he acted unconcerned . I found out other people had the same problem with Dr. Higginboothams surgery.
