Mr. Robert Alan Harf

Dr Harf clearly explained to me my options. He always had a very positive, optimistic, healing attitude which is so very helpful. I so appreciate the work he has done to help me during this so very difficult time of healing. Also his staff was very helpful, compassionate and loving in all my interactions with them.

Very dismissive and negligent.

Very dismissive all the time. Misdiagnosis of neck pain. I did not have neck. I saw him for anterior osteophytes in my cervical spine affecting my swallowing and speech. He was charged with removing the osteophytes, but was negligent in doing so. He only reduced in size the most significant one affecting my throat. He caged in my spine with screws and plates. My neck is now chronically stiff and causing balance problems. He assured me that surgery would fix the pain in my left leg that he said was from a compressed nerve. It didn't. Now the pain is in both legs and feet with weakness and feet swelling. I can barely walk and have fallen twice in the last few months. He has been useless since the surgery. I'm now living in daily chronic pain. He is responsible and ought to be held accountable.

As a teen experiencing pain, he dismissed my complaints on multiple occasions. Years later, following a MRI, a different doctor discovered damage to my C4-7 that could have been caught 4 years earlier if Dr. Harf hadn't been so dismissive of my pain; he never did more than a x-ray or exam.

This doctor is only good to elderly patients! He actually told me he was afraid to do my back surgery because of my connective tissue disorder even tho it didn’t have any affect on my previous surgery. He didn’t care about me or my problem at all and just sent me away.

If you like a doctor with no nonsense, tell it like it is, Dr. Hard is the doc for you. New hip, several injections, I love his work ethic & style.

His bedside manner incredible . Was concerned about my tattoo even at 63 The first words out of his mouth were I saved your tattoo, surgery went well too I could have hugged him. He had a twinkle in his eye and over the many years I was with him always spoke the truth and all the options . Compassionate,knowledgeable, The way real drs used to be! Will never forget him or his expertise . Was in extreme back and leg pain. Misdiagnosed my back problem saying I was fine when I could barley walk and insulted me by slapping on the back and telling me to get more exercise. My new doctor who is at the top tier of recommended spine doctors, said he had no idea how not noticing the severe problem with my back happened. Dr. Harf gave me a new hip, and in so doing, gave me a new lease on life, through his excellence and skill. I'm so grateful to have gone from crippled to fully mobilized!

Dr. Harf did a laminectomy on my L5-S1 in 2007 for a serious sciatic nerve impingement. God bless him. I am still walking upright which I wasn't before. I listened to his conversations with other patients while I was waiting for my first visit. He was direct, focused, kind ( Among others I remember an elderly man brought his wife to his appt and asked about her problems as well as his and Dr. Harf was very kind and helpful to both of them. — I also heard a conversation with a chronic back pain sufferer turned meds user and he spoke the truth that if she got off the meds she would feel a lot better.. but some people don't like to hear truth.) I think of him every grateful year on my surgery anniversary and many other days in between. I thank God for his gift. Thank you Dr Harf & staff who I always remember as being helpful. Dr. Harf has done two spinal surgeries for me now. The first was successful and I am 3 months out from my second surgery and so far that has been successful as well and I don't expect anything less. I find Dr. Harf to be very direct and matter of fact in his approach. Not wanting to do more than he absolutely would need to do if there are other options available. I appreciate his honesty and dedication to his work and patients. As long as he is in practice and I have a need for his services I will go to him. It does take a certain level of participation on a patients part to want to get better. There are days I don't feel like walking or doing the things necessary for a future full of success. It's to my own detriment if I don't do it and on the days that I don't, I feel it in my back and it reminds me that I need to do my part to continue to heal and stay healthy. Total SCAM! Do not pay this doctor for any service! He applied an ointment on my feet, then had his office convince me to pay $150 for a product called Tolcylen, which has an 1% active ingredient of tolnaftate. This is available in many, many over-the-counter ointments for under $5. I asked for my money back and he refused. He said, "Are you a pharmacist? He's not! This is one of the most unprofessional physicians I have ever come across I have severe spine and knee problems. They are well documented and even surgery has been performed. This man wrote to my general physician saying that all my problems were somatic!!!!!!! seriously????? he should stop practicing and choose a line of profession where he actually cares about what he does! do not recommend him t my worst enemy.
