Excellent surgeon and staff. My experience with Dr. Graham has been great. I would recommend him to anyone needing to have rotator cuff repair.
The medical team is great but the telephone experience since you joined Accension is a nightmare. I stayed on hold for one hour and eight minutes! Not acceptable!! My time is valuable, too!!

Did not see the doctor until approximately 45 after appointment time.
Each of the staff members that I met during my appointment seemed to genuinely enjoy working at this office. They were very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. This is my second rodeo with Dr. Graham as 11 years ago he replaced my knee and I haven’t had any problems since. I am very glad that he replaces shoulders now because I believe that his education and skills are incomparable. If you are looking for even half of a decent patient experience, this is NOT the place for you. Dr. Graham may be great (we didn't get far enough to find out!) but his new office staff is ruining his business. My parents just drove over 2 hours to a SCHEDULED appt only to be told that the practice changed over to Seton and they had dropped his appt and couldn't "fit him in"...to an appointment that was scheduled and confirmed. He even spoke with them over the phone in advance to confirm it was set for 10am today. This is completely unacceptable. Even more so for patients who have to drive hours out of town just to get there. After calling the main Seton line to discuss, even THEY were shocked. I'd give lower than a 1 star if it was possible. Leaving this review in hopes of preventing this extremely frustration experience for at least 1 person. If you are looking for even half of a decent patient experience, this is NOT the place for you. Dr. Graham is an excellent surgeon. He had operated on my shoulders about 12 years ago. This week I tried to get an appointment but his receptionist refused even when I offered to pay in cash. I left a message with his medical assistant but never received a call back. Lesson to be learned: If you surround yourself with incompetent people, your image suffers. At 58 years old, and after a very unsuccessful first shoulder surgery in Alaska, I flew to Texas and met with Dr. Robert Graham and his incredible team! He performed a Reversal Right Shoulder Replacement, and I was home in Austin later that same afternoon. Incredible! After a few weeks of therapy and to be sure I was safe to fly, I headed home North to Alaska. Choosing Dr. Graham was the BEST decision, as I am back to dancing, fishing, hunting, snow machining, 4x4 riding, gardening, boating, and I could go on and on! I recommend that if you need any joint replaced, you take the opportunity to go to Austin Texas, and meet with this Team for your surgery. Because you will end up INCREDIBLE! Thank you for giving me my Alaskan life back ~ You and your team, were my saving Grace Dr. Graham. Dr. Graham as performed surgery twice on my right shoulder which incidentally Were the third and fourth surgeries on it. The first was a total reconstruction to repair 3 rotator cuff tears, a bicep tear, and a labrum tear....as a result of youth football, 55 years of tennis and sailing, and countless other excesses. At the time my other orthopedic surgeon referred me to Dr. Steve Burkhart in San Antonio, saying he was the only doctor he knew of in Texas that could reconstruct what I’d done to my shoulder. I called Dr. Burkhart’s office and was referred to his colleague and friend in Austin, Dr. Robert Graham, whom he was on the orthopedic team for the US Olympic ski team with. Dr. Graham performed the surgery and I was back playing tennis and sailing within a year. Unfortunately, I had a fall docking the boat and braced myself with my arms to keep from face planting on the dock, and of course ripped most of his handiwork. He then did a reverse shoulder replacement and with the exception of some loss of range of motion, I can say it is pain free and almost fully functional. Only problem now is that was my right shoulder, and now I need my left shoulder replaced and we’ve all but scheduled that. So I recommend you do your research before any surgery and especially a replacement and go with the best, as i did. 4+ months after Rotator Cuff surgery I have seen Dr Graham again for examination, as I have suspected I may have a continuing problem or possible failure. I am 59, and I had supraspinatus, subscap tears; impingement; long head biceps tendon tenosynovitis. He repaired all these as well as infraspinatus decompression and release of the biceps tendon and tenodesis. Some significant work he did! Still can't sleep in bed, which has been a significant issue for me. Also I have not done well with the aggressive therapy routine my PT has had me on, with excessive pain and difficulty with certain exercises. So Dr Graham told me to modify this to 2-3 sessions of weight exercises/wk with daily ROM and no outside exercising like running or biking for 3 wks. After exam he thinks it has healed but I need to go at a slower pace with strengthening. At 6 months he will determine if indications show a need for MRI. Through this process Dr Graham and his great staff have been nothing but helpful and encouraging, giving just the instructions and outlook I need for this difficult recovery. Thank you Dr Graham! It is very evident -you are The Best! 2 years post-surgery: Just as a follow up I wanted to say Dr Graham did a wonderful job. I am fully healed with only very minor loss of ROM in moving my arm to the back of my head. And no more lingering pain. Instead now my shoulder feels great and I am continuing to strengthen it along with my other. This was a difficult time, but it passed - and even though it scared me thinking I would lose function Dr Graham helped me feel very hopeful and confident. Once again - Thank you Dr Graham for helping me through this! You have an awesome practice! Dr Graham is an artist !!! I had a real messed up shoulder from another doctor, and he did such a great job of repairing my shoulder ,my physical therapist showed other people my arm, & the movement that it could do, it was very impressing
I have seen dr Robert Graham several times over the years for a couple different issues from elbow to shoulder. Him and his staff are down to earth, professional and extremely friendly. I would recommend them 100 times over! Their office is in a convenient location and easy to get to... also if your hungry, it’s walking distance from P-terry’s hamburger joint (no pun intended with joint). Good job guys and gals! Although I have not met Dr Graham yet, his physician assistant Mr. Steven Griffin is outstanding. As is the office staff. IMHO the confidence of the staff says allot about the confidence of the doctor.
DR. GRAHAM....I will start with my shoulder. Its feeling better thesedays... still some discomfort and limited rotation. Surgery was June 2018. Its now March 2019. I am happy with the results. However where I absolutely dislike my experience is in patient satisfaction. I had 2 conversations with Dr. GRAHAM. IT SEEMS HE IS TO BUSY TO PERSONALLY FOLLOW UP WITH HIS PATIENTS. The day of the surgery he saw me in passing nodded his head and that's all I saw of him til this day. That is unacceptable as a physician. It simply appeares that this is simply a business transaction for him, when for his patients it's a life changing procedure. I hope he reads this and simply puts more time and effort into building a relationship with his patients. Instead of selling them on a procedure, closingvthe deal and sending them home with papers. Only to follow up with his less than amicable assistant. DR. GRAHAM....I will start with my shoulder. Its feeling better thesedays... still some discomfort and limited rotation. Dr. Graham did surgery on my shoulder in 2016. He is a fantastic doctor with a great bedside manner.
I saw Dr. Graham 3 years ago for a Bankhart repair, after a previous failed surgery elsewhere. After having 15 shoulder dislocations and a previous surgery, as well as being a young 20s male, I wouldn't be considered a particularly easy surgery. 3 years later, I am able to easily do anything I want including surfing and weightlifting with no aprehension. While I only have 80% mobility in my shoulder, as I needed a pretty new procedure which better holds in the shoulder, that's a small price to pay for having no more shoulder apprehension after years of struggle. I would highly recommend doctor Graham for any of your shoulder needs. I saw Dr. Graham 3 years ago for a Bankhart repair, after a previous failed surgery elsewhere. I interviewed several surgeons before deciding on Dr. Graham, as well as area physical therapists, who all said his patients do very well post-surgery.
Terrible experience. I went to Dr. Graham after a botched surgery on my collarbone with Dr. Edward Seade that left me in a lot of pain. My conversations with Dr. Graham went something like this: Me: "I am in tremendous pain right where my collarbone looks deformed." Graham: (shrug) "That shouldn't cause any problems." Me (panicked): But I am in so much pain right there." Graham: "That's not a problem. I think we have a communication problem." Letter from Graham: "I cannot not see you anymore.

My appointment was a good and positive experience.
I feel completely confident in Dr Graham and his staff.

Got good care from the Graham team, and Dr said I am doing fine.

Dr. Graham is an excellent surgeon and has a great bedside manner. He truly cares and takes time to listen.
Dr. Graham is an exceptional Doctor. Very Personable and listens to the patient and explains any procedures he may suggest. I highly recommend Dr. Graham
Friendly, efficient, takes time to listen to the patient and will explain the surgery and the after care fully. Highly competent staff and detailed protocol for rehabilitation after surgery. Open to questions and will address them directly.
Excellent doc, it took a lot of work to get to the bottom of what was going on with my shoulder as I had a rare nerve condition called Parsonage-Turner Syndrome. Luckily I didn't have a doctor who gave up or mis-diagnosed this and tried to give me surgery when it was not needed. Very highly recommended.
Great experience! Very committed to my care and recovery. This was my third shoulder procedure in a year, my first with Dr. Graham, and I was very pleased with the care I received.
I have had both of my knees replaced by Dr. Graham and both times the experience was awesome and I was back to normal within1-2 months after surgery. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Graham!!
Very thorough in explaining problem and proposed surgical solution. Also very accommodating with regard to scheduling the procedure. Instead of having anxiety regarding the procedure, I feel much more educated about it, and anxiously look forward to my shoulder replacement so that I can begin the healing process.
Dr. Graham was attentive and professional. For a busy surgery practice, he was very reachable when any concerns arose. Came highly recommended and deserves all the recognition.
Dr. Graham performed a procedure to repain a large tear in my shoulder and repaired ligaments and other torn muscles from in my forearm to my shoulder. Great care and genuine interest in my personal recovery. Thanks Dr. Graham
Couldn't have had a more pleasant experience getting casted for a broken arm. The office staff was pleasant and the care was above expected! Dr. Graham is a knowledgable MD who provides great care!
Dr. Graham and his PA Stephen are sincere and compassionate medical practitioners that promote a feeling of confidence that you have taken your medical needs to the right place. I still use their skills for my orthopedic support and plan to continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
Thanks to Dr.Graham and his staff for their professionalism. Had my left shoulder replaced Nov.2016. No more pain and can perform all duties necessary. Highly recommended for all considering shoulder replacement.
Highly recommend Dr. Graham and his entire practice. He treated our son after a football injury and I was incredibly impressed with how thoroughly he studied his specific situation and treated him in accordance. Even a suprise Friday afternoon cast switch due to an allergic reaction to casting materials was handled seamlessly. Johnny is completely healed and the whole experience was a positive one. Dr. Graham, is the best shoulder surgeon in Central Texas. His PA Stephen is also an expert in this field and is a great asset to the team. The staff are personable to help all patients get the care they need.
Legit. Best shoulder doc, hands down. Fast recovery, and noticeable improvements. I’ve had 4 shoulder surgeries, 4 different docs to fix a separated shoulder and 2 exact unresolved issues (SLAP tear). Dr in NY fixed the separated shoulder with awesome results, Graham fixed previous failed attempts by a Spurs and AZ doc to fix my torn labrum. I am so glad I found the best without having to leave the state. Or Austin for that matter! I HIGHLY recommend Dr G due to his confidence, demeanor, determination to fix the problem and of course awesome results!! Now I’m ready to play ball again. Truly the James Andrews of shoulders in TX. The best shoulder specialist in Austin! Was referred to Dr. Graham and the "Austin Shoulder Institute" after a bad fall resulted in my experiencing a proximal fracture of the humerus bone/shoulder. Dr. Graham has an impressive resume, a pleasant personality, and he is genuine and very caring. My left shoulder replacement has healed very well and I now have a range of motion that I hadn't experienced in years and best of all -- no pain. Dr. Graham kept me informed from start to finish. I highly recommend him as a shoulder surgeon! David L. Myers

Dr. Graham has performed shoulder surgery on my husband and knee replacement surgery on me. Our surgeries were very successful. After 8 plus years, my husband still has full range of motion in his shoulder and my knee is fully functional. I have so much confidence in Dr. Graham that he is doing a replacement in my other knee. Dr. Graham did a rotator cuff repair on my right shoulder and I think he did an awesome job. The only complaint I have is for my two appointments with him after the surgery I waited over an hour from the time of my appointment before I saw anyone, and then it was the P.A. The first time Dr. Graham finally came in to see my and spent about five minutes talking to me. The second time I told the P.A. I was leaving and not waiting for Dr. Graham.
I had a terrible experience both times I've been to this office. The first time, I sat in the medical room for about 45 minutes before anyone came to see me, and they ordered me to take an x-ray without anyone even going through my chart or asking me about my ailments. Second time, I sat for AN HOUR before anyone came to see me. And all to tell me that their results were inconclusive. Would not recommend this office. Great docs. They truly are there to take care of you. Some of the front office staff could use some fine tuning, but the care of the doc is what really matters.

Outstanding diagnostic talent. Found issues three others missed. Prompt, courteous and thorough. Highly recommended
All parts of being a patient with Dr. Graham's office have been outstanding. He is the Best!!!
My experience with Dr. Graham was exceptionally positive. I was in an auto accident and three doctors refused to see me because I was involved in a lawsuit. Another doctor told me I needed spine surgery when there was nothing wrong with my spine. Dr. Graham performed shoulder surgery with no hesitation - his number one concern was to care for me as his patient. Today my shoulder is as good as new. Absolutely get on his schedule if you are needing shoulder surgery -- it is well worth the wait!!
