Mr. Robert S Frable

Refuse to give medical records to another health provider despite me verbally approving it. HIPAA violation and the office manager was unfortunately very rude to me when I came in person to pick up my records.

I decided to go here upon recommendation from my Mother who loves this Doctor. There was the usual paperwork one must fill out and everything was going well. Until I discovered they needed my ID, no big deal, but for unknown reasons I didn't have it on me. (Which literally never happens.) They said they could take the ID of the person with me, so they handed it over and the ID was taken. We waited, they eventually returned and said they couldn't take it and I'd have to come back at another time. So, frustrated, we left. The reason I'm giving one star is because when my Mother followed up with them about the incident they claimed the person with me didn't even have ID and that's why I was unable to see the doctor. Very efficient office. Dr. Frable is always very thorough. Thankful for the services they provide. I am so happy I can get blood drawn there.

Dr. Frable's office is fabulous. I've been going for years and get in and out in under an hour every time. Appointments run on-time and you still get ample time with the Dr to ask questions and discuss your concerns. Dr. Frable is a fantastic provider. He is by far the best doctor my son has ever seen. He is very thorough and answers any questions we may have. The ladies in the office are always friendly and if we have an emergency they get us in very quickly. And, the nurses are awesome as well. My son hates shots and the nurse is so good with him. Great Doctor in whom I trust. Attentive caring & bedside manner! Highly recommend!!!

Everyone wishes for a doctor like Dr. Frable. To begin with, he is a great listener. He does not assume that he knows how you are feeling after you speak a few words. He carefully listens and asks meaningful questions afterwards. In addition, he is empathetic. He validates the reason for my visit. Most importantly, Dr. Frable is through. He is knowledgeable and focused. He assess symptoms and either prescribes treatment or refers me to a specialist or other providers. Dr. Frable's office staff is courteous and helpful. Mrs. Aida Casto, the nurse practitioner, is equally amazing! She is understanding and compassionate.

Dr. Frable explains things in terms that a lay person can understand. He advises ways to better my health without medication and what medications I do neeed to use.

I have the up most confidence in Dr. Frable. He is very thorough in his exams and explains test results where they are understandable for the average person. Have been using him as our family doctor since moving to Crawfordville three years ago.

My son had a new patient appointment along with Florida physical for school. His staff got us in quickly so my son could get school needs met. Dr. Frable is awesome. He talked to my son and myself about any issues. He was in room with us for awhile. I did not feel rushed when seeing him. He took time to explain things. His office even scheduled him for his flu shot in October and scheduled his annual physical for him next year. I'm very happy with Dr. Frable and his staff.

This was my first visit to Dr Frable and I found him to be honest, forthwith and very attentive to me and discovering my medical history and how best he could meet my medical needs. We have been seeing Dr Frable for a long time a friend recommend him to us in 2008 and we always tell other friends who need a good doctor who we see .

My doctor retired last month and I was given and list of doctors to choose from from chp. I selected this doctors office. I called to schedule my first appointment and to have my blood pressure medication renewed as I am running low. Was told by the staff they could not schedule me for 7 months. I asked what about my blood pressure medication and received a very bad attitude and was told I should have made an appointment months ago. I explained I didn't know my doctor was retiring until one month ago and was told by capital health plan to choose a new doctor and he was on the list. This lady on the phone told me I could maybe get a couple of pills from the pharmacy and there was nothing else she could do. After I hung up I redialed the number to make sure I had called the right number as I have never experienced such unprofessionalism from a doctors office. Indeed it was the right number. I only choose this office because because I live in Crawfordville. That's fine because I will drive a hundred miles before I ever go to this office. I can't imagine any one going to this office unless they like being treated with indifference. If I could give negative 5 stars I would. Dr. Frable is a lifesaver and has a wonderful bedside manner. I am thankful he is part of My husband’s primary care team. Update:06/10/18 I am still a believer in Dr. Frable. He has done so much for my husband. Unfortunately, his staff ( people answering phones) are really hurting Dr.Frable’s practice. I tried a month ago to come in as a new patient. My husband is a patient of Dr. F’s. He has been for at least 7 years. There was some issues with things the office needed and how their online appointment system worked. After talking with them I was transferred to the office manager and told they were not taking patients. Well, that’s funny CHP said they were, and when receptionist called me on this May morning she told me I needed to get them some information so I could be one of their new patients. Why would they change so quickly? I am a firm believer in getting all the information possible for the nurses and doctors to help with patient care. Although, I didn’t realize that a receptionist could decide whether or not I can see the doctor just by talking to me for 7 minutes ( that includes the 3 minutes on hold). I had been assigned to this doc by my insurance provider. ***You can look on my reviews and see that I am usually very positive, I cannot be positive about all of the staff that works here. **** It is very unfortunate that such a fine doctor is unable to be accessed because of the unprofessional, insensitive ladies that are running the front of his office. That is where the complaint with CHP was filed. Policies need to be made that allow patients to see doctors, then the doctors can decide what the patient does or does not need. Not a receptionist or an office manager. People, just be kind and patient....Dr. Frable always is. Again, Dr. Frable and Ada are fine people. I am just here to remind you that you will be dealing with the staff more than the doctor Apparently, a lot of people are getting the same terrible treatment from Dr. Frable’s staff. The stuff is very nice and I love his nurse practitioner Aida. He is very nice. Doesn’t try to rush in and rush out when he is seeing you.

Dr. Robert Frable and his staff are very professional, knowledgeable, and we have never experienced any issues at Capital Regional Medical Group/Crawfordvillle facility. I am fairly new to the Capital Regional “family” as for years I only went to “the other Hospital” and to me the difference between both is absolutely night and day. I rarely have to visit the ER but recently when I have had to the entire experience at Capital Regional was exceptional. I have never liked going to Doctor appointments but Dr. Frable and his staff always leave me feeling good about my health, comfortable about decisions, important & cared about, and very much appreciated. Dr. Frable has been our family doctor for over 20 years. We would not think of going to another doctor. He is caring and professional, takes time to listen and explains questions. If he thinks you need a Specialist he refers you right away. Our grown children and their families go to Dr. Frable. Can't get an appointment. No reason given even tho I asked. Considering other reviews, he may have mental problems.

IF you disagree with him or complain about him forgetting to write enough medications to get you though the month, he bans you from the office. Can't get copies of medical records if you are banned. Very petty and childish. You better be good at kissing butt, begging, pleading and groveling when you come to this office.

Front desk always friendly and personable. Staff is very helpful and knowledgable. Dr. Frable and Aida Casto are knowledgeable, efficient and very personable.

This office and doctor are among the most caring professionals I have ever dealt with in my 59 years of being a medical patient. They are ALWAYS accommodating, they work with me when I need to be seen and even when I am forced to cancel or change an appointment. They are friendly but keep it professional. I missed a February 10th 2017 following up with Mr Frable due to a eye injury that cause me miss appointment (CHP eye care has documentation) I called the office before the appointment to cancel. Office staff said if you cancel he cannot see you until the end of March. I told them I just need a prescription and explained to them how I just seen him a month ago and he didn't write me enough Rx which by law he can write up to 3 months. I told Mr Frable office workers he was over booking me and taking my money. Mr Frable sent me a letter saying he will no longer have me as a patient. So the outcome wasn't good on both ends. I have to spend money on getting a new doctor and he gets one star from me. Well I was nervous about finding a new doctor for my children, we absolutely loved our previous doctor back in VA. And I stumbled across Dr.Frable and we went for our first well visits and loved him too. He did very well with children, and answered all of my questions. The only down fall is since he one of few pediatricians/family dr in Crawfordville it is sometimes hard to get an appotiment when you need it.
