Dr Fenstermaker is wonderful! Even though my procedure was 10 years ago, because he was not able to remove all of the tumor, he still has me come in every two years for a followup check to insure that nothing has changed and when I was in this week, he was very willing to listen to some unrelated issues that I was having with dizziness and TGA. He offered some very helpful advice that made me feel much better about my current situation. He gave me exercises for the dizziness and told me to followup with him if it does not get better in 2 weeks and he will refer me to someone who can provide more help. He went above and beyond to make sure that I was ok!

Dr. Fenstermaker has been my doctor for 13 years. He is the BEST! Always willing to take the time to talk to you, answer questions, explain information and makes sure you understand.

Dr. Fenstermaker is the BEST! I have been in his care for 13 years. I wouldn't trust anyone else. I actually look forward to my appointments, knowing that I will get the facts directly from him and he will make sure I understand everything I need and the plan going forward. I really appreciate the fact that I was given the right doctor, right from the begining.

Dr. Fenstermaker and his team were wonderful. They took plenty of time with me to ask and answer all my questions. He made me feel very comfortable regarding my situation.

Dr. Fenstermaker is not only an excellent surgeon, but he is compassionate and empathetic. His bedside manner is excellent. His explanations are easy to understand and he takes as much time as needed to ensure he answers all of your questions and that you are completely informed before going into surgery. Post operative care is just as excellent. He has an amazing team but still sees you himself to ensure you understand your plan of care. I feel extremely confident that I am receiving the best care.

He took me right away although I was half hour late; he sat and explained everything until I understood. Very patient!

Dr Fenstermaker and his team are wonderful! He listens to concerns is wonderful explaining anything you ask and is very assuring. His nurses are awesome and everyone is very caring. I would highly recommend Dr Fenstermaker

One of the finest doctors around. Very caring and an excellent surgeon.

Nothing but issues. I had surgical issues that led to additional surgeries, and Dr. Fenstermaker ended up creating the same issues that he originally corrected from my first surgery (Not at Roswell). When he preformed my third surgery, he created the same issues that he knew happened during my first surgery (Spinal fluid leak in my brain, that caused my head to fill like a ballon with fluid.) While my head filled, he told me that we would drain the fluid, which we did (3) times. After the third draining, he told me that things were looking well and we should be good after the fourth draining. When I arrived for the fourth draining, he said we wouldn’t do it and now we need to have a fourth surgery. He has serious issues with speaking openly and honestly with his patients. He looks down on everyone and is just doing his job to get paid.

He is the absolute best! My husband had a tumor as big as an orange. Dr Fenstermaker did the surgery and removed the entire tumor There was no neurological difficulties afterwards and has gone back to play golf and tennis weekly.

I’ve had (3) surgeries with Fenstermaker, and my 3rd surgery was to resolve an issue of spinal fluid leaking in my head from my second surgery. Yet (2) months since surgery number 3, my head still has fluid. Fenstermaker told me when it began (2 weeks after surgery) that it wasn’t spinal fluid and everything would be fine. But now he’s talking about a possible shunt. But refuses to answer any questions I have now. After he did my second surgery and the spinal fluid was leaking he also said I would be fine and we’d just have to drain it a couple times. After my third time letting him drain it he said we’d probably have to do it one more time. When I arrived to get it drained the 4th and final time, he changed his mind and said that draining wasn’t an option, we’d have to do surgery to repair the leak. At Roswell they talk about how good of a surgeon he is, but I’m guessing that’s because he never did surgery on them. He’s completely piss poor! Much worse than my first surgery a

The office and staff are excellent. The doctor is kind, thorough and very informative. I have the utmost confidence in Dr. Fenstermaker. He has operated on two menengeomas and helped guide one gamma knife radiation for me. I had a good report today and will go back in three years.

I was diagnosed with cushings disease, and needed to find a surgeon to remove my pituitary tumor. I was told it wasn’t easy to find someone comfortable and experienced in working with the pituitary. After meeting with Dr. Fenstermaker I knew he was the one who could help me. He was excellent at explaining everything both before and after the surgery. My surgery was considered a success and I am now in remission from cushings. I have Dr. Fenstermaker to thank!! Excellent.

I had been seen by another Neurosurgeon from a different medical facility. Not liking the attitude from that Doctor I decided to call Roswell Park CI . I was referred to Dr Fenstermaker and I feel lucky to have him as my Doctor. He and his staff are warm, caring and do everything they can to put you at ease. Dr. Fenstermaker spent over an hour explaining my situation and asking questions my family and I had. He never appeared annoyed with our concerns or questions. He is honest, intelligent, humble and kind. I don’t think you could ask for much more from a Doctor. I’m glad there are still good doctors like him in our area. I felt confident and continue to be confident that I made the right decision choosing him as my surgeon.

Dr. Fenstermaker is amazing! Not only is he a wonderful surgeon but a truly wonderful human being. He takes the time to meet with you to discuss your case and the plan for treatment. I never once felt like I was rushed when meeting with him. I understood and felt confident in his ability. My surgery was successful and the follow up appointments are proving to be the same exceptional care that I received throughout this process. I really feel he cares for his patients and will do everything in his power to see them through everything. I was diagnosed with glioblastoma brain cancer at SUNY Syracuse. I was told my tumor was inoperable. When my son told me about Roswell Park, I called and made an appointment. After hearing my prognosis from Syracuse he said he was confident he could remove the entire tumor. Five days later , in January 2017, he did just that. I went from 6-8 months to live to now nearly two years later other than left peripheral vision loss in my left eye, I live a normal life. Thanks Dr. Fenstermaker!!

Entire staff was very nice and helpful. Made me feel at ease even though the situation was scary for me. I feel blessed to have Dr Fenstermaker and staff taking care of me.

I was facing a serious dilemma when I came to Dr. Fenstermakers office. From the moment I walked in I felt a sense of peace. His staff was friendly and greeted me with a smile. The were courteous and caring. It is no surprise that Dr. Fenstermaker was just as amazing! He was thorough in his explanation as well as patient he told me we can take as much time as needed to answer my questions. I'm grateful to God that doctors like him still exist as they are extremely rare! Thank you!

I wish I could give him a zero. He doesn't deserve to be called a doctor. Instead of helping care for a patient he only cares if there is something in it for himself and he doesn't care about anyone but himself

Dr. Fenstermaker is a very kind and gentle doctor who takes the care of his patients seriously. He spent over 45 minutes explaining to me the procedure of the surgery along with what to expect post-op. He is thorough and does any necessary testing needed whether before or after surgery.

He saved my life. I had two menengiomas, one was so large it almost killed me.
