I was sent to Duran after years of nerve pain.Thought my pain would be over after all these years.He was rude ,,Checked me for a hernia, which i knew wasnt even close.Didnt care what i had to say,I was even being referred by another doctor.No dont recommend,He wont touch me
Dr. Duran was knowledgeable about procedures, but very dismissive and uncaring post-operation. Dismissed severe chest pain as anxiety. After the follow up exam, patient was admitted back to ER.

Excellent doctor and very caring. He is so calm and knowledgeable. I had emergency abdominal surgery and he made us all feel like we were in good hands. I recovered from a tough surgery very well and I thank Dr Duran and his team. I also want to say the nurses at Central Texas medical Center were amazingly kind and competent. Everyone made this awful event so much easier.
Dr. Duran has done many surgeries for me. Breast cancer, hernia's. I would not want anyone else and hope he does not retire until after I'm dead!
Writing for my sister in law whose not familiar with computers. She had emergency surgery when intestine erupted and feces all in the bowels. She is 82 years old and not in the greatest shape. Surgery and infection was successful. Dr. Duran was knowledgeable and caring. She would highly recommend Dr. Duran for surgical procedures.
Dr. Duran has just operated on me for breast cancer and I am thoroughly satisfied with him as my doctor. Dr. Duran made a horrifying diagnosis easier to accept because of his demeanor and extensive knowledge on the subject. Right away after my husband and I had a conference with him, we felt very confident that he would do everything in his power to make me better and he did. Dr. Duran was my surgeon, he did an outstanding job. I didn't even have to take pain medication after the surgery!
