Worst primary pediatric doctor and experience

My problem want the doctor, it was the rude staff that i spoke over the phone with. Absolutely rude. Those ladies belong in a different line of work, not public care

Excellent doctor. Until the age of 18, Dr. Dershwitz was my primary care physician. He is kind, patient, and thorough. If I ever had any questions about illness, medication, vaccinations, or more, he would always answer the question and explain everything very well. I miss having Dr. Dershewitz as my physician. Even though most of the time I visit, I was sick, it was always a pleasure to see him. If anyone is looking for a physician in this area, I highly recommend Dr. Dershewitz. Excellent doctor. He is my Dr and he is the best if you have any sort of issue finding the correct meds for anything he will narrow down the search using the knowledge he has and wants you to get the correct and best medicine for his patients. He also gives great recommendations to specialists if one is needed. He also thoroughly explains any procedures like an xray to a small child to make them feel as safe as possible. His staff is knowledgeable and amazing too the nurses are so helpful and I am terrified of shots and they make those go as smoothly as possible. We are so grateful for Dr. Dershewitz. He is very knowledgeable and truly cares for his patients. He was able to catch symptoms of a rare illness in my daughter and immediately sent us to the right hospital; protecting her from life-long complications because he acted so quickly. My 3 year daughter loves him. He listens to all concerns and always gives thoughtful ideas and responses to help.

would not recommend came to the st john office for the first time since it was the only opening. Made me feel uncomfortable as if I wasn’t understanding him which I was. Overall Not good with kids was very confused and repetitive.. Staff was very unorganized

Dr. Dershewitz diagnosed my child with a rarely diagnosed disorder fairly quickly. Many doctors are unaware of the condition. I am thankful he recognized it right away, because of this, we were able to find the right specialist.

The staff there has no bedside manners what so ever. Because what they wrote in my son's medical documents I cannot find another doctor for my kids. They black ball my kids from going to certain doctors so i had to change my insurance. It's been a couple months now and yet still trying to find a doctor for my one and a half year old. What kind of Staff what do that to anyone's child. If I can do 0 Stars that's what it would be

Dont recomend this doctor at all. My son has a stuffy nose and had a fever and Dr. dershewitz did not give him any medicine. He told me he doesn't give any medicine until they are 4 years old. He's a good doctor, but didn't really care for his personality!! Didn't find him to be that great with kids! I like their nurse practioner way better!!

My child has been seeing him since she was born. He is awesome with kids and takes the time to actually talk with the parents. There isn't the '5 minute in and out' thing that you normally get at other offices.

We have been seeing Dr Dershewitz for years. He is smart, caring, and loves to teach. He also is a good listener and takes his time with the patient and parent!! I find him to be very thorough with his exams. He is awesome and helpful! I highly recommend him!!He is great!!

My son has been seeing Dr Dershowitz since he was born and he has been fantastic, I am a strong believer in not over-medicating babies either, my son had reflux when he was born and we switched his formula which really helped but managed to stay off any medication. My son is now a healthy happy thriving toddler and we enjoy going here as it's so local- would recommend !! Dr. Dershowitz is a fantastic pediatrician who is very knowledgeable and thorough. He had always explained his recommendations to parents so well. I love that he talks to the kids and asks them good questions. His talk with my son really helped him change his previously picky eating habits. There were emotions and all from my son, because the doctor really showed my son how much he cared, and wanted to see him grow. Highly recommended! He is a very kind and attentive doctor. We were having issues with my 1 year old son. Got turned away and blown off by 2 other doctors said he was fine. He actually listens to the parents concerns and doesn't shove meds down kids like it's candy. He was able to help my son get back to his normal bubbly self and we couldn't be more pleased!

Dr. Dreshewitz in St.John is an amazing pediatrician. Once again Jonah received excellent care and is finally sleeping through the night. Not only did he prescribed the exact medicine to help my boy breath, he knew we are in-between insurances, and gave as many discounts as possible. I have never found/had a Dr. for my children that could ever measure up to this man. Thank you so much for being awesome Dr.D!! Dr. Dreshewitz in St.John is an amazing pediatrician.
