About Dr. Robert Adam Cambridge
Reviews for Dr. Robert Adam Cambridge
My husband is exceptionally picky about doctors. He likes Dr. Cambridge and feels comfortable with him. The doctor goes out of his way to make sure to give the best care he can.
Wish I had listened to the bad reviews sooner! My Dad has Parkinson's and despite Dr. Cambridge's poor bedside manner, we didn't need a lot of management and I felt (at the time) that the nurse tried hard to make up for the lack of compassion. Last Fall, Dad's house flooded during hurricane Ian and we realized that we only had a couple days of his meds left. Stopping Parkinsons meds suddenly is not good for the person taking it. I called on a Friday morning first thing, the nurse told me she would have the doctor call in a refill that day. I stopped at the pharmacy at 4:45 p.m., nothing called in. I called the office and got the answering service, who said they would call somebody, but nobody got back to me. Though I called the answering service several times over the weekend, nobody ever called me back. By Monday morning, Dad had been off the medication for 24 hours. I called first thing in the morning again and the nurse said she would "get onto the doctor" to call it in....by the the end of Monday....STILL NOTHING! I couldn't believe it. I wasn't able to get a refill until Tuesday and only after calling in a state of near panic. By then my poor father was having anxiety attacks and seeing things, couldn't sleep. He was so frightened, gripping his wheelchair arms in constant agony. The nurse was useless, nice...but obviously unhelpful. We immediately canceled our appointment and changed doctors. Now, several months later, they send us a $25 no show bill. Please save yourself and your loved ones an awful experience and don't use this office. We found a neuro downtown who is wonderful. Night and day the difference. If you've gotten this far, you can find a better doctor.
Please read the reviews before booking with this office. That was my initial mistake. Everyone have their own opinions and experiences. I don't recommend this location for anyone under the age of 40 especially after going through a traumatic experience like a stroke. The only reason they got 2 stars is because the nurse was nice, not much help but nice.
Highly efficient and very intelligent Doctor! I had been going around the area to other neurologists but they didn't get anything done. Dr. Cambridge did an EMG on me, diagnosed me, and reccomended the right treatment for my situation! 10/10 Service!

Avoid this place and dr if you can!!!
When you walk into a doctors office with a complete MRI report of your back with images cervical thoracic and lumbar, and explain you have numbness in many areas including your pelvic area and have zero ability to pass stool and extreme difficulty urinating with no feeling at all or urgency desperate for help, and the doctor does not even say hello, look at your full report - he looked at the 1st page or 2 only, and does not need to look at the images… MAJOR red flag!!! He tells me well you don’t need back surgery… umm ok. All your issues are listed as mild… umm no keep reading doctor I’ve got moderate spinal stenosis causing pressure on the root nerve. Oh ok well I’ll send you to physical therapy and a pain management doctor. How does that help my nerve issues and inability to go to the bathroom - which I’ve been hospitalized for recently with life threatening low potassium levels because I have to make myself sick daily to defecate!!! I said ok no problem. Wasn’t worth my breath. I will never go back and advise anyone with any serious heath issue to do the same. Seems he either doesn’t care or doesn’t want a difficult case. I’ve found help elsewhere. I understand people and their hard times. Ive heard stories about people trying to take the “easy” way out and try for disability…COVID did a number on our world! People come to a doctor and expect him to be knowledgeable about everything in the medical field but he does have a title! A NEUROLOGIST!! I dont know what kind of experience these people on here had with Dr. Cambridge or Megan (front office/MA) but my experience was absolutely amazing! Megan is such a sweet girl that works very hard to please everyone, smiles everytime i see her, knows people by their names and always has gotten messages answered in a timely fashion. Dr. Cambridge is extremely smart! He does what he has to do to find why your having such problem and treats it if he can. I would highly recommend Dr. Cambridge! This was the worst experience ever. He has no bedside manner and didnt seem to care at all. I was so distraught by his attitude that after the appointment I cried as I felt this appointment was for nothing.
I wish I could give him a 5 start but no I’d rate this place a 0 ! from when you enter the front desk lady always has a rude unwelcoming face makes you feel unwanted there. Then the doctor is very rude and it’s his way and no way we tell him we feel a certain way and he says that’s not possible and starts to explain why “it’s not possible” he’s not the one feeling it so how is it not possible? Super rude and inconsiderate!!!!! RUDE !!!! I really like this doctor and the staff. He listens to me. If I have questions he answers them. I am very grateful for Dr. Cambridge to diagnose me correctly.
Dr. Cambridge is a great doctor. I feel very lucky to have found him after my saga with other unskilled Neurologists in the area. I would highly recommend him!!

Great experience - Thank you Dr. Cambridge!
Amazing doctor who takes his time with the patient and truly cares. Dr. Cambridge is extremely competent. He is the genuine doctor whom you would want to see to treat a serious neurological problem. He belongs to the group of doctors that really care for their patients. During my visit, he asked plenty of questions and listened to my concerns. He showed great bedside manners and ordered the right testing and treatments for me. He followed up with a phone call to update me on testing and check on me after a few days. I highly recommend Dr. Cambridge. I've been a patient of Dr. Cambridge for almost 20 years. He always takes the time to listen to any of my concerns very patiently and takes time to answer all my questions and follows through on everything. He has helped me so much and I know I'm getting the best care possible. Even I moved and must use my insurance as out of state to see Dr. Cambridge, incurring out-of-pocket expenses, I continue to have him as my Neurologist and travel to Florida. My experience with other Neurologists, even they are highly qualified and experienced where I reside as I live in an area with university hospitals and very qualified neurologist around, has not been even close to the care that Dr. Cambridge provides. His knowledge in the medical field, experience, and great care are unparalleled. Thank you, Dr. Cambridge, for being a wonderful human being above all and for the great care you have provided for me and my family for the past 20 years!
Great experience with a physician who is very comprehensive and makes you feel at ease. Highly recommended.
Dr. Cambridge is always professional and personable. He is a perfect example of a caring, exemplary doctor.
Simply Excellent!

Dr. Cambridge was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and thorough, and the staff were very friendly and helpful as well. Definitely recommended.
Excellent Doctor. Took time to listen to all my concerns. I felt like he genuinely cared about me and talked about different options in detail so I could decide what I felt was best for me. He will be my only neurologist from now on. Would highly recommend him to all friends and family. Office staff were wonderful and very helpful as well.
Dr. Cambridge and his staff were wonderful and very helpful. My appointment was on time and all my questions were answered. We are working on a treatment plan to follow, and I feel I’m in good hands. Outstanding physician!
Excellent Doctor! Best Neurologist to treat my MS. I have been his patient for years. Follows through and keeps you updated.
Dr. Cambridge is the worst. He didn’t know why I was there and talked with his back to me. He explained nothing and had no personality. The office was dirty and outdated. I have no idea how he is still practicing. Do not waste your time going to see this awful man who doesn’t care about you.
Horrible experience with a doctor that couldn't care less, couldn't be bothered with prior authorization for one medication he prescribed and didn't return a call about a potential allergic reaction to another medication he prescribed until the FOLLOWING afternoon when I was already in the hospital from the symptoms. I would never recommend him to anyone. It's unfortunate for the staff as they were pleasant enough. Dr. Cambridge has been my neurologist for over 5 years. He has helped me tremendously to manage my MS symptoms. I think he is one of the most highly skilled neurologist i could ever asked for!!
Dr. Cambridge and his staff have been productive in assisting me with understanding and treating an oncoming condition, made more difficult by other conditions and meds already in the mix. During the rash of telehealth preferences following the arrival of COVID-19, they have worked with me in spite of technical difficulties I am too leveraged to fix. I have seen comments about his demeanor; I really don't believe he is an indifferent person. I suspect he may not fit a few social expectations but I've had a good rapport with the office and our working relationship has never been hostile. They do the job I'm paying them to do. Dr Cambridge actively listens to your concerns and helps you find a resolution. He also has a funny sence of humor. The staff particularly Megan is wonderful and pleasant to deal with She is efficient and is always on top of any concerns quickly to resolve them!
Very happy with Dr Cambridge and his staff. He’s very knowledgeable about my condition. He ordered tests I needed and continually is searching for ways to help me.
I don't understand the bad reviews! I'm glad I ignored them. Dr. Cambridge is quick but obviously highly qualified. He listened to me, scheduled an MRI and did a great follow up. My my appointments have gone very well.
Dr. Cambridge is very efficient and obviously highly skilled!
Very efficient doctor.
Everything about this office is completely unprofessional. They do not return calls and you can go weeks without actually getting anyone to answer. Do NOT get an EEG here. There was a kid coming in and out of the room being loud. The doctor didn’t ask for a complete history and didn’t give me the opportunity to provide one because, apparently, he knows everything. I still can’t reach the office to get files on my case.

Dr. Cambridge ordered the wrong brain MRI for me. After receiving my results I couldn’t understand why it was done in the wrong portion of my brain. I called the imaging service to find out if they made a mistake, but they told me that was the order from my neurologist. When I called Dr. Cambridge he didn’t have an answer for the mistake, but he offered for me to have it redone for free. Can’t believe it!!!! In 2007 Cambridge diagnosed me with MS. He performed a spinal tap in his clinic. Also had multiple MRI’s to determine that diagnosis. I was put on an aggressive interferon injection. I thought I got lucky and was happy with Cambridge. About a year and a half later I had a routine MRI to see if my meds were working or not. Believe it or not Cambridge asked ME to go pick up the MRI film and bring it to his office. Not sure why he asked me but I did. He didn’t even look at the films and just read the Tech’s report. It said something like this, ‘no signs of MS with and without contrast’. Cambridge kind of shrugged his shoulders and said “hmm”. That’s when he told me what it said. He then asked me to stop taking my meds and come back in 6 weeks “and see what happens”. I didn’t think much of it because the side effects of the meds made me so sick. 6 weeks later I came back and was fine. Cambridge told me I DON’T have MS and gave me a clean bill of health. He said I must’ve had a mini stroke not MS. I didn’t even question him about the spinal tap because I was happy and relieved. Probably 2 years later I ended up back in the ER with some of the same issues that brought me in the first time. A different neurologist saw my and looked at my chart. He told me my spinal tap results proved I had MS back in 2007. The MRI looks for new lesions and compares them with old MRI’s. Cambridge read the report WRONG and based it off words on a piece of paper. In 2011 I moved to Minneapolis, MN because i could no longer take the heat and humidity of Orlando. Long(sorry) story short, it’s January 2019 and I had a flare up bad enough that I’ll probably never work again. Now I have what I would consider the BEST neurologist for me. It’s completely night and day. Cambridge is very cold and dry, his staff at that time seemed very incompetent and extremely confused. I would assume nothing has changed today. Not writing this to bash Cambridge but, if someone reads this whole review because you’re looking for a neurologist. Keep looking because I’m actually surprised he is still in business. I personally have been very happy with Dr. Cambridge. I had gone to 3-4 other neuroligist in Florida, none knew anything about neurological lyme disease. My parents were declining with Alzheimer’s ... I attended many of their appointments with Dr. Cambridge. I found him to be thorough, direct, and professional. He had to speak loudly so that my parents could hear him. My dad refused to wear his hearing aid. My mom also has significant hearing loss but refuses to wear a hearing aid. Later they both felt that Dr. Cambridge had “yelled” at them. More significantly, they both refused to take their prescribed medication and to acknowledge their decline in cognition. They could not bear that they were declining. So, they could only bad mouth Dr. Cambridge and argue that he never answered their questions — he had and I had to remind them that he had done so patiently and repeatedly. The only time I ever saw Dr. Cambridge express exasperation with them was when it was apparent that they were not taking their prescribed medication. Later, as my dad’s Alzheimer’s dramatically worsened, Dr. Cambridge answered my weekend and after hours phone calls. He patiently and sympathetically advised me on steps to take to secure their safety. I believe that Dr. Cambridge did everything he could to try to slow the progression of Alzheimer’s in my parents and likely helped me save their lives. My parents were declining with Alzheimer’s ... The lady up front hates her life and is pretty rude
Doctor seemed like he hated his job and didn't want to be bothered. Would not recommend front staff is nice but your not having an exam done by the front desk people if your doctor's office sends you here I would highly recommend asking for a second opinion.
This guy couldn't care less about his patients. Completely over-medicated my wife to the point she couldn't get out of bed. Called to ask if this was normal, never a reply back. At every appointment he sits with his back to us looking at the computer, never explains anything. When ever I asked about my wife, I get the answer, that's the way it goes. Doctor Cambridge is awesome, he very knowledgeable and I agree with the girls up front.. They need to go lol
Disappointed. He said NOTHING about a very important diagnosis on my MRI that he ordered. I found out about it on the Internet as I read the neuro-radiologist's report and viewed the MRI myself. Dr Cambridge was short-tempered and never looked me except when he thrust my MRI results in my hand and said"Come back if IT happens again!" NOT! He has an agenda that is Multiple Sclerosis. I had a TIA and found out from the report I am missing my Corpus Callosum in my brain! Clearly not his specialty.

First visit the Dr. Cambridge didn't even know why I was there. Even though it was required to fill in a bunch of paperwork in advance- which I dropped a quick ahead of my first visit- Durin first visit he never engaged with me in finding out my symptoms, etc. however, I wanted to give a second chance . Second visit was even worse, no much talking on his part, no idea what the follow up was for, no empathy at all. At that point my wife and I decided was time to look for a better physician.
This place is HORRIBLE! My dad called for a whole week before he got a hold of someone and then they won't even fill his prescription because the doctors on vacation! RIDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! My dad has seizures and needs the meds, why outs the not a Dr assistant our another Dr to write the prescription?

RUDE STAFF AND A DOCTOR TO MATCH.
I was VERY BLESSED to start going to Dr. Cambridge in 2012!! He immediately knew how to help me and my seizure problems. Thanks to his expertise, he knew to send me to USF and got me in to see the Neurologists there. I had brain surgery May of 2013 and since then have been able to get off most of the medications I was on for years. I most certainly would recommend Dr. Cambridge. He is knowledgeable, and a very nice doctor!! His staff are great!!
I had my first appointment this week with Dr. Cambridge. I found him to be thorough and had a nice bedside manner. His office staff was polite and organized.

I have epilsepsy and he doesn't seem to care one bit. All he's worried about are prescriptions, and even then, when he asks how I'm doing on my prescription, he never remembers what prescription I'm on or how much I'm taking of it. I asked him once if there are ways of inducing seizures on non-epileptics in hopes that he could try that and maybe would show him what we have to worry about happening to us everyday and maybe cause him to show a bit more compassion towards his patients. Staff is bad

Horrid experience with Dr. Cambridge & his *staff*. Filthiest medical office I've ever been in, including no soap or hand towels in the unisex bathroom. How are the Dr. & his staff washing their hands? Also, the overflowing trashcan in the waiting room bespoke the laziness of the staff as did the thick coating of dust on equipment in the exam room. Dr. came charging into the room & didn't even have the courtesy of introducing himself. Caustic and abrupt man. Should file an official complaint.
Dr. Cambridge was very helpful and understanding. I was seen very quickly. The staff was nice too.
Horrible experience. Would not recommend this place at all. People at the front desk are very rude and arrogant. If you go here you better know what you want and not depend on any help from the people there at all. I drove 45 mins to be treated like crap. Wait time after you get in takes forever. Not a family type of doctor at all. Please do not even waste your time

Not informative, doesn't care to listen, prefers to judge and condemn rather than be professional during a very scary and severely life changing ordeal. Simply handed me a prescription without any explanation.
Vey Bad experience!!!!!!!! Any doctor it will be better than him! He does not listen at all, not answer you questions, just want to prescribe medication, and rush you through the door. Very rude and unprofessional, no wonder his office was empty! Please don't waste your time and your money.
