I've been seeing Dr. Bulger for pain management since January 2019 and so far I like him as a doctor and I like the staff. My only complaint is the difficulty in getting through to someone. I can count on one hand how many times I've actually spoken to someone directly. All interaction is typically via voicemail. Other than that. I like this office. I'm in and out. I've never had a long wait. Dr. Bulger has a good bed side manner and is straight to the point. Dr Bulger did a procedure on me and has improved my way of life tremendously. He is so involved with his patients and truly makes you feel like more than a patient. It’s amazing to have a doctor who calls you back personally. I will always be very grateful to have met him!

Called back on time

Dr. Bulger is the greatest, he is taking the time to tell me & my husband what he is doing and what we can expect.

Dr. Bulger and his staff were amazing. They were welcoming and made sure I was comfortable. My back injection procedure was fabulous. I would highly recommend Dr. Bulger and his staff.

I had a procedure done and Dr. Bulger and his staff were nice and caring. Dr. Bulger explained to my husband and I exactly what he was going to do. He made sure we understood everything that was going on. A day later after the procedure Dr. Bulger personally called me to make sure everything was ok.

I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Bulger last week and all his staff. They were extremely welcoming and professional. Dr. Bulger made sure I was comfortable. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Bulger and his office staff. Thank you for my fabulous back injection. I had a hard time scheduling an appointment, but it wasn't due to them not calling me back. We just kept missing each other.

Dr. Bulger works with me to alleviate pain from my degenerative back problems. He really talks to me and is easy to talk to.

Last 3 appointments, the wait time in reception area was about an hour. Once is unacceptable; 3 times in a row means you're incompetent and don't have any respect for your patients' time. Disregards insurance-- don't be surprised to get something from your insurance company that your simple claim was denied, followed by a bill from his office for hundreds of $ for waiting an hour, then seeing someone you've never seen before for 15 minutes. You can do a lot better. Look elsewhere.

I had two spinal injections. The injection procedures went ok. They were ineffective, but as far as I know they were performed correctly. Who am I to tell? In contrast to the procedures Dr. Bulger's office staff was hard to work with. Very poor communication. Had to contact them multiple times to get answers. He ordered a procedure for me (MRI). My insurance needed more clarification on the reason. After almost 3 weeks of nothing being done I went to another physician and had my MRI the next day

Good luck getting ahold of anyone in his office. I had major back surgery & after had nerve problems in my feet & chins. My surgeon referred me to Dr Bulger. I had one injection & Dr Bulger was nice & told me we won't leave you in pain & wrote me a prescription. I had to have another injection & Dr Bulger didn't even come & see me before releasing me with no prescription for pain. I have been thrown back & forth & can hardly get Angela in his office to call. Horrible experience. Not recommended.

Dr. Bulger was referred to me by Dr. Greg Pearl. He has been nothing but great. He is the only doctor I would trust to give me the stellate ganglion block. Office staff is somewhat hard to get to know, but that doesn't reflect his skill and ability. Don't let that get in the way of his skill and care.

Dr Bulger did an injection for me last week and he could not have been more informative. He took the time to figure out the best place for the injection. I would highly recommend him.

My experience at Southwest Pain was nothing like my experiences in the past. In fact, I went to see Dr Bulger because my regular doctor did not want to keep prescribing my pain medicine. At first I didn’t want to go because I knew I needed to get off of them and I was afraid he would cut me off . Most of all, I was afraid it would get back to my workplace that I was on all these meds. Dr Bulger was very booked out; I think it took almost 3 weeks to get in. The parking is not great in his office area, they need more. But his office was very nice, although I did have to wait a bit. It was nothing like I thought--Dr Bulger was totally cool with my issue. He was blunt, but honest. Didn’t treat me like I was some sort of drug addict, and he gave me a plan to wean off my medication. It was not easy, but it was what I needed to hear. I saw the other doctor Rodriguez, once. He was funny, and laid back. I have friends who take pain pills, and they brag how they go to doctors and get whatever they ask for. Bulger is not like that, so if you just want someone to tell you what you want to hear this is not the place. But if you want someone who will help you make real changes in your life, try them. I've been a fulltime patient here for 10 + years. I'm very satisfied and as long as you follow the rules, you won't have a problem. So there!!
