Robert L. Baker

Dr. Baker and his staff are very professional. I can honestly say that I am glad that I found Dr. Baker as my health care provider. With the diagnosis for me having a bad mitral valve, he and his staff had monitored my progress, eventually having to go through open heart surgery to repair the valve. I can not thank this Dr. and his staff for the care they having provided, not only for me, but other family members as well.

Dr. Robert Baker has been my cardiologist for many years. I totally trust any and all decisions and recommendations that he makes for me.

Unprofessional

A lot of hype in the reviews herein- Dr. Robert Lewis Baker, MD is TOTAL FRAUD claiming to be a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist in Las Vegas, NV 3121 S Maryland Pkwy #512, Las Vegas, NV 89109 he has a STOIC personality spectrum , - - Blasé Attitude/Neurasthenic personality, he refers existing patients to re-schedule with his PARTNER same office location. I don't recommend Dr. Baker or this practice. The practice itself is very run down, unorganized, and the office staff isn't very attentive. They don't notify you ahead of time regarding payments for testing; large amounts are just sprung on you. Dr. Baker himself had trouble looking me in the eye when speaking to me and his communication style lacked any sort of pleasantness, empathy, or kindness; He comes off as egotistical. He suggested running advanced testing on me after a Holter and Stress Test and I asked several other doctors for a second opinion and they deemed his choices as extreme and unnecessary. This practice owns their equipment so expensive tests make them money. After rejecting the testing, Baker wrote notes in my paperwork that basically said I rejected his testing recommendations and he wanted to have this on file to notify my next of kin in case I drop dead of a heart attack. I cancelled follow ups with him because of his unpleasantness. Two years later I called the practice hoping to switch doctors (because the practice had files on me) and spoke to an office employee and she said she would notify Baker of my decision and ask if the change was okay, and they'd call me back within a few days. No one ever returned my call or emailed me back. Find a different cardiology group if at all possible or at least find a better cardiologist. I don't recommend Dr. Baker or this practice. I’ve had the best out of Hopkins in Baltimore and he stands among them in quality patient care.

Listens, answers all my questions and takes his time during each appointment. I actually feel like he cares.

I've been going to Dr. Baker for @ least a decade. He's always been very knowledgeable and an on-the-mark cardiologist. He is a good listener and takes the time to answer any questions and concerns I may have. His referral for my open-heart surgery in 09 was excellent. Dr Baker has been treating me for high blood(BP) pressure issues for a little more than a year now. Part of my problem is the NSAIDS I've been taking for osteoarthritis in my lower back. Dr Baker has been very understanding and adjusted my prescriptions to get my BP in a recommended range , along with recommendations to help me get there. I've been lucky to have found this Dr. , especially because he takes the time listening to any questions or concerns I may have, explaining clearly his diagnosis. My appointment time has always been adhered to, and the office surroundings are very clean and sanitized. Dr Baker's office staff are are very professional and refined. Phone calls to the office are returned within a very short period of time, which I really appreciate. A special recognition to one of his staff Monica, for being so helpful on many occasions returning my calls promptly. If you are looking for a good Cardiac Doctor I urge you to try Dr. Baker.

Stays pretty much on schedule, so there's minimal wait time. Very knowledgable. Will take the time to explain in layman's terms so I fully understand what's going on. Would highly recommend him. Communicates well with patient's family.

Front office staff. So incredibly rude, unprofessional in particular ' NATASH ' she not only argued with a patient who sat there from 9 a.m., to well past 10 a.m., asking her what am I in the waiting room for when I have been here since 9 a.m., April 10, 2018, then ' NATASH ' calls my daughter Elsie Ganzon to window and states ' Oh you don't have an appointment ' when in fact we have 2 tape recorded conversations we did, their office Maryland Pkwy #512 could not stop calling to CANCEL /RESCHEDULE patients appointments so ridiculous at best that front office has scheduling issues, poor attitudes when patients do come to check in they are greated with JUST SIGN IN rude, completely uncaring, unhelpful, discouraging, and negative Front office staff. Dr. Baker is knowledgeable & seems very caring. He takes time to explain everything & very thoroughly. Great patience with all questions & with any repetitive questions my slow & forgetful brain conjures up...again. My only problem was my insurance changed & I was unable to keep him for a necessary angiogram. The entire staff is professional, kind & carimg. My second appointment which included several types of tests, went smoothly without considerable time in between tests. Each test was explained well before starting. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend Dr. Baker to anyone, especially friends & family. Dr. Baker is knowledgeable & seems very caring. He takes time to explain everything & very thoroughly. He is calm, patient, great listener, seems extremely competent...so far...thinks about you the person and your life, not just a ###number...need to see him for more followup, but that was my first take. Office staff is so friendly on the phone and in person...it's contagious there. Weird for a specialists office, but so refreshing! Calmed my nerves for sure. Low wait time to get in and once in room. Dr. Baker is a great Cardiologist. I've been seeing him for a little over a year now. Recently I was admitted to the hospital for chest pain and was told to follow up with Dr. Baker when I get out. I called Friday late day and they got me in on Monday. And the waiting time is great as well. Never have to wait too long

Dr. Baker takes his time while talking to his patients and he listens! He is very caring and I love the fact that he personally called to check on me shortly after my cardiac ablation . The procedure itself was perfect, 10 years later - no more horrible SVTs . I strongly recommend his services .
