If you have special needs children don’t waste your time! I had a initial consultation with Dr Q to discuss my 3 very medically involved children prior to completely switching over from a practice in Tampa who’d been seeing my kids since birth. The doctor seemed to not only understand the complexity, but raved about his absolute love in caring for special needs children. Not to mention my kids are well followed by 6+ specialists. In our situation a primary care provider is there to assist in signing therapy evaluations and to see the kids in a situation our specialists can’t get them in right away. After having all our records transferred and notifying our therapy centers of the change we got a letter that appeared forged by the front office staff discharging us from the practice due to their complexity. The front office staff also parks in the only handicap parking available, which if anyone knows how hard it is to open a handicap accessible vehicle in a normal parking spot you’ll understand the the complete arrogance. Doctor was an hour late and took 10 min in the room for a new patient appointment. What could have did in 10 min.

Had a 9am appt because I had things that I needed to get done today. I booked over a month ahead to ensure I was here when they opened so no chance at the doctor being backed up... WRONG. I really like this doctor office. Dr. Q is great & very informative. However it's nearly impossible to call and get ahold of anyone. The phone lines are always busy. I dont understand how there's no call waiting or another person to assist with the phones. Smh

I took my children to this doctor and now I'm taking my granddaughter. I've never had any issue's with him or his staff. If it weren't for the front desk lady, I wouldn't have gotten my granddaughters breathing machine. I think she's the best ever and honestly the lady that takes us to the room's has always been funny and sweet. I know from working with doctor's in the past, staff member's take all the heat and the doctors get all the love and praise. But I've got zero complaints. I can't believe the change in this doctor. We have known this doctor for 26 years. He was always the best at patient care. But he has changed completely for the worst. My sister whom Dr.Q has known since birth and is a brittle type 1 diabetic needed him to refill her diabetic supplys and he refused to do so. Claiming due to insurance requirements. We called to verify this with her insurance and they confirmed that the information he gave us was false. There were no insurance requirements as such. How do you leave a diabetic with no supplys? He has become cooperate orientated instead of patient care orientated. After 26 years I hate to say this but I would not recommend him to anyone for your children. It's sad to see someone who use to be so good change into someone who doesn't care about children. addendum to review. Getting the facts correct to your reply. First of all it's my sister not my daughter we are talking about as I stated in my review so that is wrong. I am the one who has been dealing with the office about this all along not my family. Second she has been seen televisits are doctor visits and she has had televisits so correct that as well. Third I was told the issue with her medical supplies was because the insurance required an in office visit. I personally checked that and the insurance said that's not true. Another wrong statement. Now about filling her script this time it took 6 phone calls over a weeks time, 3 messages from the pharmacy and then me coming into the office to get it called in and then I was told the false information and also told the doctor will not fill anymore prescriptions. If that was just from the staff and not from the doctor himself that is a grievous act. Dr. Q is a great man and an amazing Doctor. No one ever denied that at all. The information given to me for not wanting to treat my SISTER any further without an in person visit was all false. So if this response is coming only from the staff then the problem lies there but that doesn't make it any better or right. Doctor is very nice, but staff is terrible. Particularly Sammy in the front is rude and condescending!!! never had such terrible treatment from a employee from a doctors office . Honestly I feel really bad that the doctor would have to have an employee like that and deal with that attitude.

The doctor is great. His staff and the office itself not so much. I waited for an hour and still had not been seen by the doctor. We were the 3rd appt that day! I asked if he was behind after 30 minutes and was told no. Then they took us to the room where we waited another 30 minutes and still no doctor. I don’t know if he was late that day or what but all of the appts were still waiting to go back when I got there. So nobody even got called back until 945 and they were the first 2 appts for the day scheduled at 915.... makes absolutely no sense to me. And the waiting area and rooms are down right nasty! I don’t think the office has ever been cleaned. We didn’t receive one apology or explanation when we said we had to leave after waiting so long! I was “Sammy” at the front desk!! I worked here many years ago and recently came back to help! I was thrown into the front office position on a whim and was told to get everything done. Most of the reviews I have read are absolutely true!! He is a good Dr but what the staff has to put up with is absolutely ridiculous and the pay.... haha. Don’t even ask because it’s Sad!!!!! I reorganized his front office to where it was manageable and tried to clean up the schedule so the patients didn’t have wait the long waits they were having to do! Triple booking was exactly what was happening! After about 2 weeks I was getting so many compliments on how fast the appt was, not because of the Dr, but because of the STAFF which is Me and Dee!!!!!!!! His walk in policy is what people don’t understand. He will let any patient walk in whenever and be seen before the appointments which is just wrong! People walking in and then complaining if I tell them appointments are ahead of them. There is no winning with this facility !! You are better off finding a different practice. If you are waiting on the results of anything, they are probably there on his desk waiting for him to review for about a month and will continue to sit there until someone stands there and gets the signature after being yelled at 10 times by the patient wanting them! Sammy at the front desk is incredibly rude and unprofessional. My 2 year old has been having allergic reactions and was given an allergy test over a month ago. I've called numerous times and was told they didn't have it in yet. I finally asked them to check back further and low and behold...they had the results! They said they would have the dr look it over and call me. Over a week went by and I still didn't hear anything, I called again and they said the Dr still hadn't looked it over. I called again and was told the doctor saw it and would need to see us in person. I stopped by the office to see if I could get a copy of the test and Sammy was apparently frustrated with me, I explained my son is still having reactions and wanted to see the results, now all of a sudden the doctor had not seen it even though I was told otherwise. She slammed the front window in my face and needless to say I am headed to a different practice. It's a shame to make a child wait so long, had I not called those 3 times, I'd probably still be waiting and my son is the one who suffers. Dr Qureshi is great. He's friendly and knowledgeable. However, the office and insurance side of things is sketchy. Each time we went to the office, there were double or triple booked appointments resulting in a 1-3 hr Wait. The waiting room is filthy as if it hasn't been vacuumed or swept in weeks. We brought our son here when he was born and not only were 1 month shots not mentioned, when 2 months approached, we were informed they dont stock vaccines for private insurances (only Medicaid and other FL state insurances). I let the one month shots slide because I knew there were some pediatricians who prefer to do them at two months instead. However, to find out they dont stock vaccines for our insurance was a surprise. This is something that should have been shared with patients before they enroll at Suncoast Pediatric Care. Why should I have to bring my child to the department of health to get his vaccines when there are other providers who offer the vaccines in office for my insurance. We were also told they accept tricare and tricare has told me otherwise. Something about the practice not renewing their credentials with tricare. We've been told by Suncoast pediatric care since November that they're working on it. Fast forward almost 3 weeks after our 2 month appointment and we've been given a hard time accessing our son's records to go elsewhere. We've been told they have up to 30 days to transfer the records but there's a red flag right there. If it takes a full 30 days to transfer the records of an infant, how many patients are actually transferring from the practice? Our son is sick right now and can't get into a different pediatrician and have to bring him to the ER because of the unprofessionalism at Suncoast Pediatric Care. Dr Qureshi is great. He was my pediatrician for 15 years. I highly recommend him

First off, this office will over book patients into one time slot. Came in for a 12p appointment wasn't seen until 1:40p. This was our second visit to this office and wait was similar for the first visit also. My daughter is 6 months and we came for her checkup. After waiting for over a hr and hf, the biller comes out and says we have a balance of $540. Well that was a surprise since we have insurance. So they told us that either we pay half the amount or they can't see my daughter. We decide to leave because the office couldn't tell us why insurance wouldn't cover the costs and told me to call BCBS MYSELF. So we leave and I call BCBS, come to find out SUNCOAST PEDIATRIC CARE does NOT take my insurance. I call the office back and they tell me they DID NOT KNOW they didn't take that insurance. So not only did I waste a day off, but we waited for over 90 minutes for them to finally figure out they don't take a type of insurance. They could of done this check the second we got there or even when we scheduled the appointment. Not to mention what would of been essential is if the billing department actually knew what insurances they accept. This place is inept and completely unprofessional. The doctor himself is great. But anytime he writes a script the pharmacist can't read it, or the lab work which is a big inconvenience because it's rare that they pick up the phone so I have to wait till someone gets in touch. Also they need to update there address and hours online.

Great doctor, he always pours a wealth of knowledge, and always encourages our children to strive and be the best that they can be! He’s been our Pediatrician for about 15 years! Thanks Dr. Qureshi, and staff!

Dr. Qureshi is absolutely amazing!!! He answers all your questions and gives the best explanations I have ever been given by a pediatrician!! He always makes time to see his patients!!Dr. Qureshi is a true blessing to the community!!

He's always there to take good care of my kids .

My child has had a complex medical history and was the only doctor I could find in the bay area experienced with my son's diagnosis. He has always gone a step above and actually listens to me as the parent taking my statements and having an actual conversation with me for options in my child's care.

Dr. Quereshi, is a wonderful, caring pediatrician. He takes the time to answer all my questions and doesn't rush out, to go to his next patient.

Wonderful Dr. He has been my children's pediatrician for 14 years. Always listens to everything I have to say and does not hesitate if he thinks there is a problem.

He has always been a terrific doctor to my kids an my nephews since they were born I was crazy to change doctors but I'm going back as of today I'm never gonna change my kids doc to anyone else he always listens an does what needs to be done
