Dr. Rick Jason Delmonte

Dismissive doctor. Told him I had ankle pain for 1-2 months after taking up tennis. After making me wait to see him as he had another emergency patient ahead of me he gave me 5 minutes of his time. Looked at my feet and said I needed to stretch more and get orthotics. Well the pain continued. Went to another doctor who put me in a boot and had an MRI done. There was swelling at the intention point of my Achilles and I had Insertional tearing and edema. He is dismissive and has a bad bedside manner. I could have had treatment earlier and avoided further injuring my Achilles. Regret ever going to him. Find someone who hears what your concerns are. He sold me orthotics. Orthotics that were made incorrectly but I still have pay for me. Wonderful. I guess he made a buck.

Rick Delmonte was dismissive. If this was all, I wouldn't bother writing this review. He was also pushy to make a sale and never delivered on it. The refund was long and hard fought.

Rick Delmonte was able to make me feel unseen, unhelped, and unworthy of his time. I don't need him to have a heart of gold, but the willingness to provide a modicum of care is the bare minimum. In my personal experience, Delmonte lacks this quality.

He really needs to work in his bedside manner. During an exam he advised me if I was going to continue “being dramatic “ he would send me over to pain management. I feel blessed by Dr. Delmonte's care. My podiatrist had recommended him to treat extensive metatarsal foot fractures requiring lisfranc surgery. He was so empathetic - promised my spouse he would help me, which he did in every way. Dr D gave me a great op with a great team. I'm six months post op, walking again with orthotics he recommended, and so grateful. I feel blessed by Dr. Delmonte's care. My experience with Dr. Delmonte from initial consultation, to surgery, to post surgery care has been outstanding. After the appropriate diagnostic process Dr. Delmonte discussed with me the surgery that would be necessary to correct a bad result from previous bunion and hammer toe surgery. The prior surgery left my toes looking quite deformed. Dr. Delmonte's manner was informative, kind and reassuring. His office staff was very efficient with the pre-op process. The surgery went very well. I had surgery on my big toe and 3 other toes and I had no pain in my recovery other than a slight soreness the morning after surgery . Over charged me and the insurance. Wanted to perform surgeries I didn’t need. I don’t recommend, be careful.

This doctor will tell you everything you want to hear when you walk in, but the minute your on the operating table he does something different. Then when you return for your follow up he looks in shock when you mention you still have pain and goes to his medical records and says oh this surgery was so and so. All he will do is chop you up and get paid. I do not recommend. Dr Del Monte is an amazing doctor I went to see him because I though I had a lipoma in my ankle and I wanted to be remove, he was not agree with me he suspect that I torn my ligaments and sugested that i should get and MRI and boom. Dr. Delmonte is an excellent foot and ankle surgeon and extremely competent. I am a fellow Podiatrist and trusted Dr. Delmonte to do flatfoot surgery on my teenage daughter. The surgery came out beautifully and me and my family will forever be in Dr. Delmonte's debt.

Dr. Delmonte literally saved my life. I went in his office for a routine follow-up and ended up having two seizures and passing out due to an unrelated sudden clot in my lung. Had I been anywhere but a doctor's office, I'd be dead. He and his resident gave me CPR and brought be back to life until the paramedics came. Not a typical podiatrist visit! He's also been great with my various foot problems, trying other means such as injections or physical therapy rather than rushing me into surgery, only giving orthotics when needed. I did have to pay out-of-pocket for the orthotics, but they solved my Achilles issue and prevented me from having surgery. I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Delmonte.

Utterly incompetent. Diagnosed me with a condition I didn’t have and operated on it.

Very disappointing visit. My initial visit lasted about 10 minutes, and then I was told what I should do. No discussion of options . At the end of the visit, he suggested I go see one of his colleagues who had a " boutique practice" and then mention his name for a discount.

Dr. Delmonte is a ledgend in our home. He rebuilt my ankle reparing ligaments and tendons. I cannot believe how put back together I am. The entire situation was scary and frustrating for me but Dr. Delmonte and his staff were there for me every step of the way. This is THE GUY!

I came to Dr. Delmonte because I had stepped on glass a few days earlier. Before that I had gone to an urgent care facility who with great pain and delay failed to remove any shards of glass, told me it must all be out, and sent me on my way. Within the first few minutes with Dr. Delmonte he was able to diagnose that I still had glass in my foot. He expertly removed three shards of glass. While I had considerably less pain afterwards I continued to have trouble walking and ended up getting a minor surgery to remove the last tiny bits of glass. The day after the surgery I had zero pain (besides a bit at the place of the incision) so it was clear to me that all the glass was gone. Throughout my interactions with Dr. Delmonte he has been warm, funny, easily approachable, quick to respond, and above all profoundly and expertly competent. I would recommend to anyone and for goodness sakes if you step on glass don't bother with urgent care- just go straight to a podiatrist preferably this one! I have been a patient here for many, many years. I have been treated for minor problems as well as two foot surgeries. All I can say is I trust Drs. Greenberg and Delmonte 100% and greatly appreciate their warmth, experience and concern. I have recommended them to numerous friends and two have ended up having their surgeries here. The care here is wonderful, the offices are spotless and the office staff is the best. By far one of the most positive experiences that I've had in a long time. The ease of setting up my initial appointment was followed by a dedicated and helpful staff. The office is beautiful and clean and there is a Zen quality to the establishment that put me right at ease. I met Dr. Rick Delmonte during my first appointment and I loved the fact that he is a person first and a Dr. second, he listened and explained everything to me and I never felt rushed during my time with him. During my surgery he was super positive and that made me feel so relaxed that I felt zero fear as I went under for my procedure. Dr. Greenberg is also an awesome Dr. and very tuned into your needs.
