He saved my leg. I had a blocked femoral/popliteal artery due to an accident when I was 17, 43 years ago. It became blocked in May, 2021 due to diabetes/plaque formation. I was in Reno and the vascular surgeon said that amputation is plan of treatment. That was unacceptable. I moved to Las Vegas and was referred to Dr. Bernstein. The angioplasty started at the groin but he could not get through. His partner, Dr. Pliagas, went up from my ankle and got through. They did a laser treatment and angioplasty, providing arterial blood flow to my foot (I grew collateral veins to provide some blood flow). Dr. Bernstein saved my leg and found a blockage in my groin on the left side that he will next treat. Dr. Bernstein has spent significant time learning how to treat blocked arteries in the leg. In 2016, I had an angioplasty on the leg, 4 days hospitalization and I could not bend at the waist, nor could I bend my knees. Dr. Bernstein's procedure took 3.5 hours. Amazing.
Dr Bernstein went the distance to help me get a procedure on short notice. He followed up and got me in with a few days. The procedure was a success and I am already feeling better after 24 hours. His staff were friendly, nice and most important efficient and competent. Much thanks to all.

Helped me to walk again. I had horrible veins that made it difficult to walk, he treated me and within a month I was able to begin walking again.
