Dr. Richard Todd Weisenburger

Actually knows what he’s doing, listens to patients, and seems genuinely empathetic towards problems. Immediately (seriously within 10 seconds) noticed a deviated septum that my previous ENT had never mentioned in my 3 visits with her. Previous ENT wanted to keep throwing black-label antibiotics at me while Dr. Weisenburger took safer steps to help me recover.

Very kind and professional! This doctor cares for his patients.

Dr. Weisenburger is the best. He helped me clear up my voice where I could sing again.

Efficient staff and wonderful Doctor - diagnosised my problem quickly!

Took my Dad for a hearing test, the doctor found a suspicious spot in his ear at the same appointment that he felt might be cancer and did a biopsy. Today, my husband took him back for a follow-up appointment. The doctor walked in and started wanting to schedule surgery for this small spot complete with skin grafts etc. My husband said "what about his hearing?" The doctor threw my dad's chart on the desk, huffed, stopped, stepped toward my husband and 85-year old father and said ""He's an old man, advanced age...his hearing isn't going to get any better?" My husband said "Can hearing aids help?" The doctor said "He can BUY them." My husband said "Not from you we aren't!" As they walked down the hall he heard the doctor pitching a fit in the back office, yelling "Why the Hell did they come to Murphy?" NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN. He was obviously looking at the dollar signs of doing a surgery vs. fitting an old man with hearing aids. Front desk workers was VERY rude along with the doctor. He WALKED OUT of the room mid conversation and never returned. Front desk workers snapped back evey everytime we said anything and was very very unprofessional. The nurse was very polite and nice and helpful. She was the only one who seemed to care about the patients experience. Would give no stars if i could, this staff is piss poor! Front desk workers was VERY rude along with the doctor. I've been getting botox here for a couple of years. Personally I never liked Dr.Weisenburgers attitude. 6 weeks ago I spent $600 to get my eyes, frown line and forehead done. It did not take at all. When I went to the office to show him, he agreed that my forehead didn't take but argued my eyes and frown line did. Trust me it didnt take at all. He made the reply that he did several that day and I was the only one with a problem. I would love to post a picture on here if I could. I said well as you can see mine did not work. I've spent a small fortune going to him. He cannot stand for you to argue with him. He said if you aren't happy here maybe you need to go elsewhere. Doc, I was very unhappy with your attitude. It would take a blind person not to see my botox didn't work anywhere he put it. Please save your money and time and don't waste it on him. My friend is a nurse and I was with her on vacation this past week and she said you couldn't see any results at all.Anywhere..total waste of time and money. Staff very professional, Dr. Weisenburger not so much. I walked out of my appointment due to his rude, unprofessional behavior. Cherokee County residents deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. I would not recommend Dr. Weisenburger for ENT or any other medical issue. I will be filing a formal complaint as well. Although his staff tested my hearing, he was not very clear on the cause of my hearing loss. I drove 2 hours to an appointment where he basically shouted at me (privacy?!?!?) and gave little indication of what to do if the steroids didn't work to improve the situation. When I called to ask "what next" his staff indicated I should come back and be re-examined or go to an Asheville, NC specialist! I thought I had gone to a specialist!!! Really felt like I was given very poor patient care.

The staff were kind patient and friendly. Dr Weisenburger was none of those things. After already being treated by my regular Dr. I was referred to a specialist for hearing loss in my left ear. That Dr had a family emergency and could not see me for weeks. The alterntive, Dr. Weisenburger, simply prescribed me the same treatment plus steroids and told me this while dashing from the room. $85 later I plan to return to Dr Nechtman to get the tubes I needed in the first place. I had a mole removed on my chest and Dr. Weisenburger did a great job. He was very professional and very kind and made me feel really comfortable and relaxed. He even joked with my boys who were with me. His staff is amazing and was very accommodating to my busy schedule. Our visits with Dr W was stressful. He is abrupt and seems to be in a hurry. He's not mean-spirited but doesn't appear friendly. He talks quite loud, perhaps he's a little deaf but it did leave us feeling uncomfortable. You must get to the point right away or he will cut you off. My child had a skin test for allergies which left her with two sores that didn't heal. After a year we took her to a dr. who removed the sores. $300.00.
