The lady that cleaned my teeth ripped my gum and kept going after I told her it hurt.

My son, 4, was referred to this place back in September, he has some cavities that need to be fixed and a tooth to be removed. He had to have surgery, I was overseas during this time, so my husband had to be there. However as a military man he could not miss a class he had scheduled that day ( he didn't pick the schedule and was not allowed to miss it) but as it was scheduled my son was supposed to have surgery and be out well before my husband's class. 4 hours go by and it is approaching noon, keep in mind my son had not eaten since the night prior and we live an hr away. He was starving but since he was going to be knocked out he could not have anything on his belly. No notice or anything from the nursing staff or anyone about when he surgery would be after an hr past his scheduled time....no communication at all. It came time for my husband to be heading back to Fort Rucker an hr away and STILL no one spoke. My husband explained the situation and was told if they left my son would be removed from their practice and never seen again. My son is in pain still because they could not be bothered to reschedule anything. Just kicked from the dentisity. For a place of business that is for kids. You sure don't act like it. I understand my husband canceled the day of surgery but no one would even listen to why he could not stay or reschedule. Even today when I got a reminder call from them for a check up appointment they scheduled, the lady was rude and did not answer my question and deleted the mistake appointment even when I told her he was in PAIN, because I asked to accept him back and we could get his teeth fixed since I am back in the states. Businesses like this turn my stomach. LIFE HAPPENS Communication is key for running a business. I hope who ever made this rule for this place would wake up and relise its not all or nothing. A reschedule sucks yes, but LIFE happens and we were not even upset about it. We understand things happen. But you let a baby, a 4 year old child go hungry for half a day not even allowed water! Jut to removed him as a patient because you could not keep your scheduled appointments. Or be bothered to SPEAK to anyone. SHAME ON YOU! Will not allow a parent to accompany their child on the appointment and try to home behind "Covid" as the reason. Neither the hospital (where Covid patients are actually treated) nor the pediatrician require a guardian to sit outside and wait until the appointment is over. So what are YOU doing back there??

First Time Here and Service was excellent and facility is very nice and welcoming for children. Staff was very friendly, informative , and helpful.

Such a great environment! I was nervous but the staff made me feel so comfortable. My appointment was quick and easy. Highly recommend them to anyone.

They are great with all three of my kids! We've been going here for over 4 years now and will continue to. Very friendly staff! Our youngest son can be uncooperative at times and Miss Jeanie is super sweet with him so he does better with her, but all the ladies are great!

Very professional and covid compliant office. The dentist and office staff were very attentive to my children's dental needs. The office has a cheerful inviting atmosphere.

I had a dental emergency and Dr Thornton was able to fit me in that day and fix my teeth. She and her staff were incredibly professional and were exceptionally kind to me as I was very anxious during this visit. I have to give a shout out to Dentists 4 Children. My grandson was very nervous when told he had an abscessed baby tooth that needed to be removed before it damaged his permanent tooth. Not sure where to go, we contacted Dentists 4 Children. The office staff was very helpful in the appointment process, getting him in quickly. Even though my grandson was terrified of the unknown , the staff eased his fear of having a tooth removed, reassuring him he was going to be fine. My grandson came out smiling, and stated it didn't even hurt. They also found some other dental issues that needed to be address. He had such a great experience that it was no hassle getting him back for his next visit. If you are looking for a professional dentist office for kids, I encourage you to give Dentist 4 Children a try. Dr. Thornton and her staff is amazing! visited here this pass Monday with my child really didn't like the fact that no parent is allowed in the back with your small child although,in a previous visit i was allowed but for some reason now its no longer allowed. Front desk check in woman seems to me to be a bit racist or didn't want to be bothered with a black parent at the moment cause when i watched her interact with the other parent behind me she seemed to not have the same manner with her . I ♥️ my dentist!

I would not have even given them one star. We had an unexpected death in our family and my son had a dental appointment he missed because of this. Clearly our mind was not on the dental appointment. Friday when I realized he had missed it I tried to call but they were closed, I called back Monday to explain what happened and they refused to see him even after explaining the circumstance. i highly recommend Dr. Heather Thornton and her staff. Their office is friendly, warm and very professional. My daughters ages 12 and 15 have been patients of Dr. Thornton since their very first teeth cleaning at age 2. They have always enjoyed their dental appointments and cleanings. Doctors and staff here are wonderful! They understand that a trip to the dentist can be a stress time for your little ones and they go out of their way to be sure that it goes as smoothly as possible for everyone. Truly a loving and caring practice. They put the well being of the child above everything else. They are honest about the things that have to be done and need to be done. Dr. Thornton is the only dentist for my kids. Have had other dentist with bad experiences so much that they did not want to go to a dentist when they were small, but Dr. Thornton and her staff eradicated those fears. We have been going there for almost 11 years now. Only have one problem. They only handle pediatric patients. My oldest is 17 and will soon have to find a 'grown up" dentist and I don't know how well that is going to work out for her! I took my one year old for his first check and everyone was so nice! The ladies in the back all talked to him and made us feel welcome. Dr. Thornton was so sweet and thorough in her check and made me feel better about our teeth care at home. Dr. Vann saw us once for an emergency and took great care to inform us and make us feel at ease. Can't wait to take my little one back! Wonderful dentist office and staff. My youngest son chipped a front tooth a couple of years ago. Dr. Thornton has always been concerned with the amount of anguish he is experiencing as we try and file the bonding to make them even. She really cares about her patients!! My children have been going to this office for several years and I couldn't be more pleased! We have never had anything but the best care from the Dentist, and the ladies up front are so nice and helpful. My son has always had good, even enjoyable, experiences going to the dentist thanks to the Dentists 4 Children staff. Dr. Thornton is very thorough and attentive and fun! And they recommended us to a great orthodontist group too. Our son's mouth was overcrowded. Dr. Thornton fully prepared him ahead of time for braces. I truly believe her careful pre-planning in this area highly contributed to our son only needing to wear braces for the minimally required time. He got them off this year and has a beautiful smile! Dr. Thornton is truly gifted in dentistry! I have taken my children here now for 5 years and wish I had started there to begin with. I originally went to another pediatric dentist, and we ended up having troubles with the quality of work. Dr. Thornton however is a life saver. She is amazing with kids and her staff are also. I actually have kids that like the dentist now!!!! Truly!!!! My kids have had to have teeth pulled for braces, exposures for braces, and all their regular cleanings. Not one tear !!!!!! Both my kids say they never felt any shots because of the numbing jelly and and I think this office is awesome!! When kids walk out with bloody gauze and smiles, you know it's good. I can't recommend them enough, honest. What a relief to know my kids are not going to be fearful of a dentist all their life. Our experience here over the last 8 years has always been great. All of the doctors and Dr. Thornton in particular have gone out of their way to make us and our children feel at ease. We wouldn't consider using any other dental practice

My twins are about to be 12 and they have come here since they were 3. We have always had to have morning appts because my son has special needs. As a special education teacher of preK children, I understand the need for earlier appts for younger children and those with special needs....they are more tired in the afternoon and not as calm. I also understand the reason parents are not allowed back in the treatment area. Many times in the morning, the children will cry for their parents to stay when dropped off at school. The longer the parent stays, the more they cry. Within a few minutes after parents leave, they have stopped crying. I feel the best thing a parent can do is to prepare their child for a new experience by telling them something like "I love you and want you and your teeth to be healthy. I am taking you to the dentist so your teeth can be healthy. I will not be able to go back there with you, but I would never take you to someone who would hurt you.
