Richard Allen Statesir

Been a patient of Dr. Statesir's for about 12 years. He is an excellent and caring Doctor. The office staff is great and I always get an appt around my schedule. If you're looking for an ophthalmologist I highly recommend Dr. Statesir

Everyone at Dr. Statesir's office is very friendly. Dr. Statesir is patient, yet efficient. The office is easy to find with convenient parking nearby. I went in for my annual eye exam and had a positive experience.

Dr. Statesir and his staff are very professional. They call the day before an appointment to remind me of the appointment time. They are pleasant and friendly. Dr. Statesir has managed my eye issues for years and even though I have moved away from the Lakewood area, I continue to go to him. Without his follow through I could have lost much of my sight, so I appreciate his thoroughness.

Can’t say enough good things about Dr. Statesir. He gives each patient the time they need. He’s extremely professional yet at the same time he takes a personal interest in his patients. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming. It is easy to get an appointment and the entire experience is very efficient.

I've never felt compelled to write a review of a product or service, however, I would be remiss if I did not endorse or highly recommend Dr. Statesir. He and his staff provide the highest quality care in a professional, compassionate and friendly environment. I highly recommend Dr. Statesir for your vision needs.

Richard is a great ophthalmologist. Been treating my glaucoma there. His office is conveniently located in downtown Lakewood

Horrible , the 1st thing she asked is what is your insurance, oh I’ve never hear of that one sorry you have to go to ER What a joke

Dr. Statesir and his staff are a class act - they took me in for a last minute appointment after I (embarrassingly) lacerated my eye while working out. The office was lovely and I felt so comfortable the entire time I was there. It was hardly a wait at all and Dr. Statesir answered all of my questions thoroughly throughout the appointment. He does excellent patient education (I’m a nurse so I can say this!). If you are seeking a new opthalmologist, this is the office you should go to - you will be well cared for here. I have been seeing Dr. Statesir for approximately 20 years mostly for the usual annual exams but this year for cataract surgery also. Over the course of this time I have found him and his staff to be professional, courteous, caring, and skilled. I have never felt rushed during the course of his care and I believe that his credentials and skills are impeccable. He treats a wide range of patients and always has the best possible outcome for his clients as his objective.

Very courteous and professional. Staff is great. Optician helpful in helping pick the best frames for your face.

Great office, staff efficient, Dr was thorough, lots of frame selections!

Great office...staff was courteous check in was a breeze. Dr. Statesir took his time and answered all my questions...I would highly recommend this office for all the family if you need an Ophtlmologist...and the office is right in downtown Lakewood you can even do lunch or breakfast downstairs at Panera Bread, depending on the time of your office visit.

I have been a patient of Dr. Statesir for about thirty years. He is knowledgeable, takes times to explain everything to you about your condition and how he will treat it and on top of that, he is very kind. Your wait time to see him is rarely long and his office staff is always so helpful and they make you feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an eye doctor/surgeon. If I didn't feel this way, I would not have been his patient for so many years!

So I went to Dr. Statesir for an eye exam. While there, he mentioned that I had some "gunk" (I guess it's the technical term) on my eyelids and I should use some shampoo on a rag to get rid of it. This was a 10 second off-hand comment. This somehow not meant that my exam was no longer covered by by eye insurance...but was being submitted to my medical insurance...and now instead of owing $10 for the exam, I owed almost $150.
