Dr. Richard A Ragsdale

Dr Ragsdale spent as much time as our appointment took,; and didn't act put out like SHAST CRITICAL CARE DID before they 86'd me without even hearing from me

My husband has been under his care since 2016. He is a caring and compassionate physician. He also doesn't sugar coat anything. He is a very straight forward teaching type of physician. You never leave there feeling rushed. We would highly recommend him.

My first appointment with Dr Ragsdale was in late 2017 after moving to Redding the year before. He spent upwards of 2 hours with my wife and I answering our questions, then explaining in detail his plan for dealing with my COPD. He ordered a new PF Test, enrolled me in Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program, and scheduled appointments every 3 months. Things seemed to stabilized because my appointment’s are now every 6 months. I would highly recommend Dr Ragsdale to anyone with pulmonary issues.

He cares. I've never spent long periods waiting.

Dr. Is very relaxed and makes you comfortable. Never acts like he is in a hurry to leave. He explains things very well.

I saw Dr. Ragsdale at the Greenville Rancheria Clinic in Red Bluff. I thought he was fantastic. He was thorough yet easy to talk with, very comfortable to work with. I would highly recommend him to any patients who have problems in the areas that he specializes in.

Oh gosh...I met Dr. Ragsdale back in 2010 when I was admitted to Shasta Regional for the worst case of pneumonia I'd ever had. I thought I was going to die. He had to take a tube thing and insert it down into my lungs to look around...I was excited about the idea till it happened then, I couldn't wait for him to finish. I asked for a piece of paper while this was going on to write down I must have been crazy to want this procedure and to hurry up and get it over with....lol. Dr. Ragsdale is a great caring Physician and yes I would recommend him 100%. He get's 4-Gold Stars in my book. Oh P.S....how did I ask....lol.....it wasn't easy with the tube in my lungs.....I used my hands and motioned which they figured out. I had a frightening hospitalization for asthma several years ago. My internist asked Dr. Ragsdale to look in on me. I was struck immediately by his great compassion and gentle nature. Most of my life, my family doctor took care of my asthma (which I was diagnosed with at the age of two). I never realized the necessity of a good pulmonary doctor until I started seeing Dr. Ragsdale.
