I had a great experience with this doctor Richard Perez and staff.

I have been coming to this office for over 20 years. Dr. Perez takes his time and talks to the child making them feel comfortable. My granddaughter just loves him. She also likes his assistant Linda. When something is wrong like her ingrown toe nail she said, call the Doctor. The staff especially Jodi the nurse is always helpful, and friendly.

My kids have see. Seeing Dr. Perez for years and I have never had an issue with him until today. As a professional you should never let your personal opinion or political view interfere with your job and the care you give. I respect everyone and would like the same. I did not walk in to get my daughters yearly check to feel completely disrespected. I guess I’m un-American for asking about portion sizes and how they compare ( since I have a college kid studying in the UK) and if it’s normal to have food aversions. I speak from my experience with Dr. Pérez, he is a person with zero empathy at the moment, he can be very rude, I decided to change my son's doctor since in the last consultation the man did not look me in the face. he made fun of my worries about my son. The office staff said the opposite, they were always very kind and willing to help me at all times, something that the doctor did not do. Will not recommend this office to anyone. Worst doctor I have personally experienced. I will not even get into the poor treatment my family received because he will deny it anyways.

Through negligence, this office almost cost my brother his life. We spent our entire lives going here, and his foolishness, lack of professionalism in approach to his practice, and lack of empathy for his patients, my brother almost died. He told Dr. Perez multiple times he did not feel right, and the doctor ignored him, and if my brother had listened, he would be dead. Do NOT GO HERE! All the negative reviews are accurate! We had a horrible experience with my child and I will never return. The office is very outdated and dirty with old equipment. The nurse had a very heavy accent and is hard to understand. She slammed a needle in my childs arm so bad, my child said it hit his bone and was in terrible pain. The doctor came in and told my son that he is a boy and boys should not cry? Prior to that, they had an attitude at me for not giving my child 3 cups of milk everyday and had a very argumentive attitude overall. Dr. Perez and his staff have been seeing my son since he was an infant born in 2011, my son is now almost 10 years today, my son was diagnosed early due to observations made by Dr. Perez, my sons diagnosis was ASD (AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER) , he saw the signs before my son was 2 years old and referred me to get the diagnosis by a specialists at All Children's Autism Center, told me to think positive and get things ROLLING....explained to me and my husband that many parents would wait until children are sometimes 5/6 years old? I was depressed & sad, felt lost when my son got diagnosed with ASD. Due to Dr. Perez's positive influence & medical guidance my son was able to get early speech therapy, physical therapy and physical therapy. My son was non-verbal, isolated in a corner, had social issues with children his own age, and delayed in many areas of his development. .....with Dr. Perez's guidance, support and encouragement my husband and I got more involved with my son, I put my nail appointments on hold, along with my favorite shopping days for me on the weekends, my husband gave up his frequent fishing time with his friends every weekend, ...it was time for us to step it up and get focused on getting our child involved in all his needed therapy's 3 x weekly 3 hours each day, lots of dedication and commitment, listening to these therapists and continued work at home, getting our son involved in playing at the park, socializing with other children, getting him involved with shopping with mom at Publix in the fruit and veggie department, dad would get him out in nature parks, get him riding his bike, dad and him joining other dads for playtime at the playgrounds or meeting at a local library, joining support groups on social media & at schools, encouragement, love and patience is what children need with any type of special needs issue. (please keep in mind our son had sensory issues, would not want to be around children) We now arrive in 2021 my son is in 3rd grade, the top of his class, has been selected 7 times as student of the month, still has his speech therapy but released from the other therapies, he can zip thru a book reading, talks about being a police officer, tells us he wants to learn to drive a train, he enjoys playing games on the computer, gets focused on wonderful nature and animal movies on TV, enjoys doing number and word games on the internet, his teachers are amazed by my son progress, my husband and I became so involved with volunteer time at the school activities and functions with all the teachers and staff, they nominated me in 2020 to be an Ambassador for Autism Speaks for SW Florida, and now assigned to the position currently this year 2021. I am taking the time to write this for parents to read and share my experience of 10 years of having Dr. Perez and his staff assist me with all my sons medical issues, on other issues such as colds, school shots/vaccinations/ physicals I was always given an appointment that was convenient and my phone calls returned quickly for answering any medical questions I had about my son that would save me the trip to the office and if a medical observation was needed my Dr. appt was made for the same or following day. Both Offices are very nice and staff are always pleasant and helpful, I have been to many Dr's for myself and most are never personal and take a moment with you or give you that genuine time, I never feel like Dr. Perez is rushing us when we have our appointments, Dr. Perez is very friendly and personal, will tell it like it is and that is what we needed to hear that from him, giving us that guidance of how we as parents needed to get INVOLVED WITH OUR SON....put that EXTRA in it for him....and shared with us stories of other children that were grown and were success stories from working hard on goals....these kids went on to live great lives of independence! This man screamed at my daughter for 20 minutes about her “skipping school” when she simply had a headache and didn’t want to take a test that would be the definitive moment in her high school of whether or not she would get College Credits for it, talking about her, a 5.0 student as if she was a truant who was skipping classes to smoke and do drugs and steal. An awful, judgement man with it out for everyone who doesn’t agree with him.

Horrible, horrible, horrible person (Dr Perez). Started off exam griping about how wearing masks is political. My 9 year old being who she is mentioned Trump said it was a hoax. OMG, he went off grilling the child who is telling her these lies. He proceeded to go on about the Keystone Pipeline, his lack of medical reimbursements losing millions of dollars in Obama administration, he cannot retire because he can't afford to now, and talking about a pic of Hunter Biden laying in a pool of cocaine. Really? My 9 year old is in the room. Then as he is grilling her who is telling her lies , he tells her your mom is lying and brainwashing you. What a terrible person. Run, do not go there. My child was traumatized thinking this whole incident was her fault. Omg. And I have a child who has sensory issues and he knew that. She is no longer his patient. If I could get a negative number review he rates lower than a one star. Awful awful awful place!

The Doctor thinks he is better than the parent and tells the parent how to raise the child as though he is perfect and the parent is something that is no good.. I am trying to find a better Dr. A Dr. Who really cares and not out to cause trouble or out for the all mighty buck...

i would give zero stars if i could. I, along with my sister and friend have all left this office. i have waited as long as 3.5 hours to be seen when i had appointments! Try doing that with a sick toddler! Dr perez is inconsiderate and rude! never going back!

If no star were an option I'd choose it. First off, anytime we go for an appt it take about 3 hours. But, the staff at the office is very unorganized. In the 2 times they called a prescription in for my kids there was a problem. 1 time they spelt my daughters name wrote, hand the wrong address, and wrong phone number. I couldnt pick up the prescription bc the pharmacy would release it to me. They said they would call Dr. Perez. The next day around 3pm I call the office to make sure they fixed the problem so I could pick up the medication after wor . They didnt answer but called back around 4 and said oh yea I heard that message. I'll call them right now. Well, when my husband went to get it they still haven't called but the pharmacy released it anyway. When I called the office they said they must have put the wrong information in the chart. The 2nd time they had my son date of birth wrong and it also delayed the pick up. My mom brought my 2 and 4 year old to the office for an appt. My daughter was acting like the 2 year old that she is and he said "if you were doing that as a child what would your mother do?" My mom. Said "oh she'd smack me for sure!" Then he said "well?" My kids tested positive for the flu and my husband called the office multiple times and left multiple messages and we have yet to hear from them. We are switching doctors for sure. Absolutely the most conceited, arrogant, obnoxious, unprofessional pediatrician we have ever met. First time meeting he told my 9yo son that if he doesn't join a sport he wasn't a man. He was beyond rude. My son begged me not to bring him back there. Another time he was sick and missed school and Perez told him to man up and toughen up and that he won't be a reliable man if he can't work while sick. Then proceeded to go in to his rant about how great he is and how he's worked sick and with broken bones and right after surgery. Who cares. We were there for my child. My son looked at me and said this guy thinks way too much of himself. He screams at you if you take child in sick that they aren't sick enough and you're wasting his time and then next time you wait and he screams telling you you're a bad parent and should have brought child in sooner. You can't win with this guy. I cannot imagine having him as a parent; he breaks down children's esteem and self worth. He has refused for years to give referrals for things I would like checked due to my child having pain or problems. I've had to go around him to get my child seen by specialists and everytime the specialist says there is a problem. Go figure. I know my child better than a doctor. Every time we had to go in for school or from sickness he absolutely is beyond obnoxious. Constantly trying to undermine me as a parent. My 3 kids have been going here for a few years now and we love him!! He doesn't beat around the bush and tells you exactly how it is. I appreciate his straight forward honesty and experience and recommend him all the time.

I have never seen a more unprofessional doctor in my entire life. He asked me why my child and her father weren’t together and decided to give his input on that. He told me teething doesn’t hurt a baby on multiple occasions, explaining all teething does is cause teeth. My daughter (an infant) had a scab on her knee and he decided to use a scalpel to cut it open and dissect it. She was screaming bloody murder and he laughed and said “where does she get her temper from?”. My last straw was our recent encounter. He prescribed the wrong medication for her and she has a severe rash from head to toe. I called his office on a Friday morning and he told me to come in Monday afternoon but she was fine. I took her to the ER today and they are astonished at his lack of professionalism and they advised me to never go back. She has a severe antibiotic rash but according to him she is perfectly fine. Do not bring your child to this office. On top of his lack of professionalism, the office is dirty.

Dr. Perez is has a wealth of knowledge and expertise that is missing in modern medicine. He was a great preceptor and is a caring clinician! I would recommend his services to ANY and ALL who need pediatric services!

Absolute worst pediatrician. Screamed at me in front of my infant and would not answer questions or take my concerns as a parent seriously. Also told me he’d call DCF on me for medical neglect because I didn’t agree with his treatments. Unbelievable, unprofessional, and disgusting.

Dr. Perez was completely inappropriate with my niece and had more to say about her appearance than about the health issues she came in about. He put down her physical appearance, he told her that she should come up with a "Plan B" when she told him the dreams she had for her future career, and ended the visit by saying he hopes she looks more like a girl the next time he sees her. My niece has had a tremendously hard life and this man attempted to put her back years in her self development.

Awful, simply awful. I called at the open time to get an appointment for my little girls ages 3 and 5. They had been to the ER for strep and the meds given aren't seeming to work after a week and a half of taking them. They have large lumps inside their throats. The lumps look swollen, white, like they are about to pop something that you would cringe to look at. I was told, "we have time on friday." Friday? It's Wednesday and there new symptoms with a condition that's already been seen by the ER. I'm a single parent. I work all week, I have 1 day off. I can't take off work or I won't make money to support them. Futhermore, I work at an animal hospital and we stay open till 6pm for sick animals. The nurse said she was going to have to stay late till 445pm as if that compares and I should understand. Unprofessional. What do I tell my kids, 'sorry your throats hurt terribly, the nurse couldn't stay late for you.' These are two little girls ages 3 and 5 and i couldn't get help. No compassion. Awful, simply awful. I have three children and they have been going here since birth and my daughter (first born) is now 18. Wonderful staff, clean office..Mr. Perez has always explained everything and very honest.

We absolutely LOVE this office. It was so hard to find someone who wasn't just manipulating the healthcare system to get more money out of us! Dr. Perez and his entire staff actually sit down with us, ask and answer questions, and educate us. We've had doctors in the past who wouldn't even listen to a question without telling us to book another appointment - much less answer the question without staring at their watch or looking annoyed! Run dont walk. Ive been going to this doctor for over 13 years and 6 kids. Everything was great but the last 2 years he has for lack of better words lost his marbles. Misdiagnosed my infant son on 2 different occasions just to be sent home and the entire time made to feel as if we were idiots and our opinions of our 6th child didnt matter. Office staff is not there at all only 1 girl remainig after all quite including beth s. PA who was amazing. TIME FOR DR. RICHARD PEREZ TO RETIRE! ~WARNED~

I've taken all 4 of my kids to Dr. Perez and we think he is great. His office staff are friendly, we don't have to wait ridiculous amounts of time, and Dr. Perez is a common sense kind of Doctor. I would recommend him to anyone.

Awesome doctor, physicians assistant and staff!!! They go out of their way to make sure the children and their families are ok and comfortable. I am extremely happy with this doctor!!!

This man is a pompous idiot. Our granddaughter who has ADD, we were forced to go to him because he took her Medicaid insurance. On her 1st visit all he could talk about is how great of a doctor he was. All he is concerned about is making money because he hates ACA and cannot make money. Then my granddaughters mother change jobs, her heath insurance changed. We when for her appointment and he refused to see her because he was not going to get paid. His staff even knew her insurance changed

Misdiagnosed both of my children... Now after changing pediatricians, my children have been properly diagnosed and are getting help for the health problems they have

We have continued to go to this office for years due to the friendly staff and past PA's. However in an emergency we have had to see the Dr. Perez and have had nothing but terrible experiences. He has the worst bedside manner I have ever seen. Always talking politics, complains about insurance, ect. Nothing pertinent to my sons illness. Always conjuring up a new psychological diagnosis for my son as well, whom is a honor roll and exemplary student. Ive never seen such erratic behavior.

Very happy with office and staff. I have been multiply times and have found the doctor to be pleasant and caring. All the staff is very nice too.

I would not recommend Dr. Perez to anyone becouse he is not professional at all, today he was cleaning my doughter ears with the steel stick, inside and both ears are bleading, she was crying from pain, but he didn't stop. I am shoked with this barbarian method from the last century, never have heared about it in any country, last time 2 years ago her ears were cleaned with vacuum, it didn't hert her at all.

Good Doctor, however with radical ethical values which consistently affects negatively his performance and his interaction with patients. Example: 1-A patient who takes her chronic Ill daughter to see him frequently,asked him for a note so she could get money back for gas from county benefits. He denied and told others, patients, workers and interns that people like this should go to work instead of asking for money. 2- Always talking politics and telling the kids, youths about his own views

Excellent diagnostician with a lot of common sense. He's also direct and worries more about practicing real medicine than stroking egos. Example: other parents complained in reviews about being told their child is too fat and needs to lose weight. Get real. Childhood obesity and diabetes is a serious and growing epidemic. Guess these people don't care really care about their kids.

Started with letting us know he is displeased with the President. No bed side manner. Does not listen. Passive aggressive, should have asked consent before touching child's genitals. When child is crying and the childs mother asked to stop the doctor seemed unwilling and protested trying to justify it. Should have explained to a 5 year old what was about to happen instead of treating everyone as an object. Will never go back. Would not recommend. Worse experience with a doctor. avoid at all cost
