I had seen him 3 times and he didn't help me at all. He was too casual about my problems with ear and throat. I wasted my time there. Third time he told me he cannot do anything for me. I have serious issues with my ear and throat. I went to my family Doctor and she ordered CT of mastoids and found problems with my ear so I am going to see another ENT specialist, hope he can help me. My daughter who was with me in the room asked me not to see him anymore.

Regarding my surgery on Wednesday 01/18/23 Summit Medical Center Outpatient Surgery, I had my Tonsillectomy & Adenoidectomy removed. Richard D. Orgill, M.D. is an absolutely amazing, professional, excellent and very phenomenal doctor. Caring doctors are always the busiest because they’re doing the most prestigious work.

Before even looking at the issue he told me surgery wasn't a good idea. I didn't ask about surgery. I came to have someone look ate why I was having issues. How could you possibly know surgery or not without knowing the problem. He wouldn't even listen to what I had to say and just rushed me through.

Dr. Orgill knocked it out if the park for me. His staff was professional and he explained everything without rushing it like most doctors. Sinuses are 100% back to where they should be and I can finally breathe again. I highly recommend Dr. Orgill and his team.

Was referred by pulmonologist. Was very unimpressed by him. Waited 40 minutes over appointment time. Doctor acted as if he was unconcerned after I explained my issue. Office filled with no mask patients. Children & adults & staff unconcerned about covid. Shameless!

The front desk staff def needs some practice on customer service. Got here 15 mins early as requested, had both windows shut on me as I walked in and then I was ignored until another patient walked in to be checked in. When I asked the young lady if she didn’t see/hear me come in her excuse was “I’m busy eating”.

An hour wait after arriving 15-minutes early, as requested. 5 minute office visit only to be referred to another doc...after 7 calls and 5 weeks later, the referral was finally made by my PCP because we got tired of waiting. Received a bill in the mail for $312 FOR a worthless 5-MINUTE VISIT. Yeh, NOT HAPPENING!!!

New patient/new to the area with 20 pages worth of recent diagnosis and treatments from my hometown. Continuous documented recommendation for a septoplasty. Dr asks me no questions and just says “i don’t think you need the surgery. Typically the surgery is for people we throw the whole kitchen sink at and still have an issue”. Mind you, i have various steroid trials, breathing therapy, voice box videos, cat scans in those documents. I tell him i do not react well to steroids, and he prescribed me two steroids anyways. It was documented on the new patient form I am allergic to Penicillin and all throughout that packet, and he prescribed me Amoxicillin. Did not take my B/P, height or weight and just disregarded me. I was a patient for 2 years. Unfortunately my care by Dr Orgill ended up in me having a procedure that wasn't in the end what I actually needed and complications I wasn't warned of arised. I ended up having to be seen elsewhere and having a corrective surgery sadly. The regimes that Dr Orgill told me to do could've actually been counter productive. If I could say one positive thing I would mention he is kind, but use extreme caution and do your own research before having any type of procedure done by him. My situation was so unfortunate and I feel it could’ve been avoided. Patients must know and understand the risks of any procedure done to them, and that wasn't the case with me sadly. Terrible office staff, sent us on a wild goose chase just to get my medication after my tonsillectomy. I saw Dr Orgill twice before my surgery for about 5 minutes and ended up having to pay a $40 copay both times. At my pre op appointment, he gave me little to no information about my surgery. I’m now worried about my recovery. Office never answers calls and staff is very rude and condescending over the phone. Will not recommend to anyone else. You couldn’t pay me to go back to this guy! He stood like 10ft. Away from me like I had the plague, looked at my freshly fractured nose and told me to use Flonase and the swelling would go away! He spent 5 minutes Max with me and I felt he was very disinterested in anything I had to say. Something definitely seems off.

Underwhelmed. Thought it was just me until I read the reviews on this site. It took a long time to get my referral processed and get an appointment time. Audiologist seemed knowledgeable. Dr based his recommendation on audiologist data and did no further exam. They are kind, friendly folks but I think they want to sell hearing aids more than practice medicine.

I was a patient for 2 years. Take note of the reviews. Normally if a provider has some 1 star reviews I don't take it too serious, but his 1 star reviews far outweigh anything above as you can see. His online reputation is warranted in this case. Unfortunately my care by Dr Orgill ended up in me having a procedure that wasn't in the end what I actually needed and complications I wasn't warned of arised. I ended up having to be seen elsewhere and having a corrective surgery sadly. The regimes that Dr Orgill told me to do could've actually been counter productive and could have caused my chronic problems. If I could say one positive thing I would mention he is kind, but use extreme caution and do your own research before having any type of procedure done by him. My situation could've been different had he properly looked at a CT scan. Another provider looked at the same one and saw an issue. My situation was so unfortunate and easily avoidable had I been cared for properly by him.

Not taking the necessary precautions for covid-19. Was told that patients would wait in their cars and be called when it was time for appt. Not the case all patients come and go as they please. No temps being taken. Total unprofessional. Made an appointment elsewhere with much more professionalism. Absolutely horrible experience when you are high risk or have a family member that is and they have no regard for your safety.

Strongly discourage anyone with anything more than a runny nose from seeing this Doctor whose office is in a run down strip mall. Staff appear trained to encourage unnecessary consultations to generate revenue. I presented with neck pain, not throat pain. Dr.'s professional appearance was abysmal and personality was only slightly better. Spent 5 minutes with me, looked in ears, nose and mouth and felt neck. His answer was a laryngoscopy, an internal examination of the throat, presumably in his office where his charges can be imposed. Couldn't be done until after a Covid test and a couple of days of quarantine. Nevermind my throat wasn't the issue. Never offered other options, such as a CT, until I specifically asked. My assumption is CT not be done in his office and he could not collect for the same. Spent a grand total of 5 minutes with me and charged $208.00. Appears to me practice is focused on treating runny noses covered by medicaid. Find another ENT!

Dr Orgill performed unnecessary procedures. I had 2 visits for 10 minutes each. He was looking at MRI that showed all passages blocked and still performed a scope. He booked me for surgery but never contacted my insurance company for approval until a few days before scheduled surgery. His office was very rude and said “they had better things to do since my surgery was not life threatening.”... Wow! My out of pocket for those 2 visits was about $400 for whatever he said he did. I took all of this to be a sign not to have surgery with him. I believe in divine intervention and wonder what my outcome would have been had I actually gone through with surgery with him. He may be a great at his specialty but it felt like a surgery mill to me. I got a warehouse impression. My career was spent in medical field and red flags kept popping up. Follow your gut!

Was told by my dentist I needed to see an EMT about a canker sore that had gotten completely out of control. Explained this exactly when I made my appointment. Doctor Orgill spent the entire visit on his laptop just pounding away on who knows what, gave me a quick look and then told me he doesn't treat canker sores, and wrote an rx for the same mouthwash everyone else prescribes. Waste of both of our time, and my insurances' and my money. I do not understand why they even bothered taking my appointment, aside from getting to bill my insurance and me. I went to Dr. Orgill when I was 16 years old (24 now). I have dealt with sinus issues my entire life. I never could truly breathe through my nose and every month I had some sort of sinus infection. I was hopeful that this doctor would change my life which he assured me he would... From December 2009-February 2011 I was put under 3 times for a total of 7 hours. I dealt with the same issues prior to surgery and in some cases I felt worse. In his office, I will never forget what he said. "You are one of the worst patients I have ever seen." I literally gave up after the fact and decided this was something I was destined to live with. I had my 4th and what seems to be final surgery for sinuses. I met a doctor in the city that truly cares about the patient and has about 25+ years of experience more than Orgill. This new doctor and I made a decision to do another CT scan and review them. After reviewing he said he would need 60 minutes of surgery time maximum to get me fixed. It took him 45 minutes to complete my surgery and he found a bone in my mid-turbinate that was 5x larger than the normal persons. Please reconsider when looking for an ENT. Do your research. At 17 and 18 years of age, surgery felt like a normal thing to do with Orgill and he never fixed the issue. 1 week after surgery with this new doctor and I am already breathing better than I ever was. Gave disc to the front desk when I checked in. Nurse asked me if I had my scans, told her I gave it to the front and she said she would go get it For the dr. I had my paperwork done right after going back, every question she had was in my hands.. Neither took my paperwork! He comes in and asks if I've had scans done. Didn't examine me, look at scans, or read my papers. Don't go here.. he didn't listen or care. He said I was fine, my 2nd opinion said otherwise and now I have surgery scheduled.

He told me the lump on the side of my neck was an irritation and suggested I just wait for it to grow. After a 2nd and 3rd opinion, today 2 years later, I lay in my hospital bed at the VA having had the lump that was a tumor removed from my neck. The 2nd Dr suspected it was a tumor just by the location and feel of it, at my first visit and without seeing any scans. I thank God for guiding me elsewhere and ensuring I kept the medical documents to prove everything I just stated.

He is a very bad doctor that does not care for his patients in the very least. I wouldn't use Dr. Orgill even if he was the only ear doc around. waited in the office an hour while 3 people got called back before us and was told there appointments were before ours. when I asked how much longer the wait would be because others had gone before us one of the office ladies got an attitude about it so we walked out. Called my insurance and they are referring me to a different doctor. I never had the pleasure of meeting the doctor but his front office staff ruined it for us! waited in the office an hour while 3 people got called back before us and was told there appointments were before ours. when I asked how much longer the wait would be because others had gone before us one of the office ladies got an … More

Front office staff/scheduling is sad. Have placed multiple calls, that always goes to voicemail, where guess what, you don't get called back. Dr maybe good, but if his staff fails to schedule...well, not a very good business owner

The odiologist was great she was so kind and was very sinsere in wanting to help me. Doctor Orgill on the other hand didn't do squat he was on his computer pretty much the whole time looked in my ear wrote me a prescription for steroids saying it would fix the problem even though I told him I had already been prescribed the same thing and it didn't work. I told him I was pregnant and asked if it was safe to take he said it was fine so I checked with my ob and found out its very unsafe. He obviously doesn't care about his patients. My first appointment was for 12:15, I arrived on time and did my hearing test. Then I waited 40 minutes while the doctor ate his lunch. I finally got to see him and he spent 5 minutes with me before saying I just had allergies. I've lived in different climates, different states, and haven't been able to breathe through my nose since the age of 15. We scheduled a follow up appointment after trying out a nasal spray (it did NOT work), and when I arrived for my appointment they said they had it down for 1:15 and to come back. Safe to say, I cancelled my appointment and will never go back to this doctor again. My first appointment was for 12:15, I arrived on time and did my hearing test. Dr. Orgill surgically removed my adult son's tonsils and adenoids. He conferred with us before and after surgery, and his communication skills were excellent. He listed all possible effects of the surgery, what to expect for each of the next seven days, methods to control pain, what each prescription was for and possible side effects, and other details. This had to be a boring repetition of a speech he had given thousands of times yet that never stopped him from doing a thorough job with us.

I don't think he read the referral letter from my doctor /insurance provider because he was only focused on 1 symptom of 3 that I was referred to him for.

Dr. Orgill is a joke! Made my appointment, he didn't show up because he was at a funeral. No notification and I drove across the metro. Made 2nd appointment. He spent 2 minutes with me and said that there was noting he could do. Handed me a folder and walked out. DO NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THIS BOZO!!!

Doctor Orgill is a great and caring doctor who knows his stuff, BUT you nearly have to drive to his office to make an appointment. Otherwise good luck. His staff rarely, if ever, answers the phone or if your lucky enough to leave a voice mail it it doesn't get returned. Frustrating. If he wasn't such a great doctor for my son I'd find someone else.
