Where do I even begin? Our little boy Jason was only 6 years old and all I can say is that Doctor Ohye is the most kind man, very gentle, calming, amazing doctor. I will never forget after Jason's surgery how he came into the waiting room with a big smile on his face telling us "Everything went great, and Jason was doing well!" Richard was rude and unprofessional during our consult. He did his speech and then was rude about the additional questions I had claiming they were none of my business. He was condescending and said if I was so concerned “you should just do the surgery yourself”. I have never been spoken to by any professional as rudely as he spoke to me. He did not want to answer my questions or hear my concerns. He told me there is no reason why the nurses should tell me what they are planning to do to my INFANT son. Dr. Ohye was extremely kind, professional and knowledgeable while working with our family. His hands and the staff at UM Motts saved our sons life.

Great guy, very well spoken and easy to understand. Explains everything with a good mix of medical terms and layman's terms so even parents that haven't already done tons of research can understand what he's talking about.

He is such an amazing doctor, he's completed both of my son's heart surgeries and just has a way of making you know everything will be okay.

This Surgeon and the entire hospital staff gave my daughter Angel St Ann an opportunity to start her kindergarten year this September. After performing three stage life prolonging surgeries.

Between Doctor Cutler and Dr. Ohye, my daughters life was saved. My daughter was misdiagnosed by another hospital and 2 other doctors. Charlie was a month old when she was finally diagnosed by Doctor Cutler. In my eyes these two doctors saved my daughters life. Doctor Cutler diagnosed Charlie and then immediately sent us to Mott's Children's Hospital. Thats where we met Dr. Ohye. Charlie had quite a few things wrong with her heart due to it being misdiagnosed. Dr. Ohye was very understanding, patient and compassionate. He explained everything clearly (probably a few times due to me asking so many questions). He didn't seem like someone who was "just a surgeon." He appears to be someone who is passionate about what he does and understands the seriousness of the situation for not only the baby but the family as well. Never once was he rushing us prior to surgery when handing over our little Charlie, he understood the fear and sadness. He also checked on Charlie numerous times before surgery and after while checking and updating the family. He was very involved. Humble and made us feel more at ease about our little girls future. Dr. Ohye has completed 2 open heart surgeries on my son who was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. He came highly recommended as the best of the best to us and we couldn't be happier we went with him. He is humble and gracious and made us feel more at ease about our babies future.
