Richard John Locicero

Dr. LoCicero is a great Oncologist. When you have cancer the world fades away and you are just scared. I went to several Oncologist and they were more concerned about me losing my beautiful hair than talking to me about what I was going through and their treatment. I'm so glad I finally found Dr. LoCicero. I was 7 months pregnant and diagnosed with breast cancer. My baby girl underwent 5 hours of surgery to remove the tumor, then went through 2 rounds of chemotherapy before I was induced and blessed with a beautiful, healthy baby girl. Dr. LoCicero took so much time with me on my initial consultation appointment answering my every question, my parents questions and reassuring me that he would treat me to health. He was always available, came to visit me and baby after birth, and is so down to earth to talk to about anything. I know I would not be here 20 years later had it not be for his professional expertise and the great support staff in his office. I highly recommend his care! Dr Locicero pulled all of my mother’s pain meds in 2019 and spoke to her as if she was a drug seeker. He broke her heart that day as she had been his patient for almost 2 decades and 3 bouts of cancer. I was with her at this appointment. He dismissed her claims of immense pain because her labs were not showing any current cancer. She was dead a year later from cancer that had spread over her entire body, including her spine & bones & was so painful I couldn’t even touch her. Her name was Beverly Woodward. She was 73 years old. Doctor’s, don’t be so quick to dismiss your patient in the future! You are lucky I didn’t sue you! She trusted you! What can I say? The ONLY reason I had to change Oncologists was bc I moved 300 miles away. Dr LoCicero & his team were always caring & they made my treatments & 'cancer time' bearable. I felt like he really cared about my well-being. At my last appt, I thanked him for saving my life, bc that's exactly what he did. I believe he and his team saved my wifes life...No doubt about it. It was the toughest thing my wife and I have ever experienced, but she is still here...

Dr. Locicero is the best! I would never have anyone else be my Oncologist. Love him

Dr. LoCicero is a kind and intelligent man. He has a wonderful staff. Everyone at Longstreet has treated me and my family so well!

Richard LoCicero denied treatment to a loved one of mine. They spent no more than 10 minutes in the room together discussing their symptoms. He never recommended her an actual specialist or even diagnosed her with anything they might have. Having their blood work done with him before I would have expected a professional solution to my loved one’s illness. A relative of my loved one had stopped seeing this doctor because of all opioids prescribed by Richard. Seeing that he was not getting any better he switched specialists and went to Emory. So then Richard makes the smart comment to my loved one and tells them to “do what their relative did since they had gotten better.” This is at the same clinic they’ve told a handful of patient with critical illnesses that they would not make it or they did not have enough time to get better. When given a second opinion at real these patients have recuperating by seeing actual specialist. Richard LoCicero denied treatment to a loved one of mine. Dr.Locicero is amazing and the nurses as well

We started out okay but I was alarmed when he doesn't believe in doing a lot of scans. How are we supposed to know if the cancer is progressing? Lately we have not been able to get in to see him but are given a nurse instead. This is not acceptable as we have been been dealing with cancer for years and need expertise at this late stage. We request to see him but are given the nurse so we will be seeking care elsewhere. We're paying for him. He seems distracted and didn't order right tests

I have been going to Dr Locicero since September 2014 for Non-Hodgen Lymphoma. He is a wonderful doctor.

His unwillingness to TAKE THE TIME to listen to the patient resulted in her near death not once but twice, due to complications from his treatments. A different doctor stepped in just in time on both occasions. I absolutely would not recommend this practice to anyone.
