About Richard William Kendall
Reviews for Richard William Kendall
He is great to work with and extremely knowlegable about my health conditions.
Dr. Kandall is by far the best . He always answer all my questions and make sure I understand all my options. He is a very caring person I I am so grateful I found him.
Just to be fair, mix-ups with medications has some to do with Utahs 'opioid crisis'' making it utter double hockey sticks for Chronic Pain patients, the Doctors, the pharmacists who have become 'cops'' here. Was treated like a street junkie by Smiths Pharmacy. It is truly making me want to move out of state where I can obtain CBD oil to cut down on Big Pharma.
I am a patient with little patience left. He and assistant knew I was OUT of pain meds and just didn't follow through to call in a pre-authorization. This is a long weekend and I'm guessing he won't do anything until then. That has left me in withdrawal symptoms of diarrhea, a spike in BP, which has caused a retina bleed in the past. Now four days into NO pain medication. THANKS a lot, doc!!

This was the worst experience I could have ever imagined! I have total loss of use in my right arm after seeing Dr. Kendall. I have been told this by more than one doctor. I had a bad fall and had seen Dr. Kendall before so the doctor at the urgent care told me I needed to get in to see Dr. Kendall ASAP. I called and was able to get in within a few days time. On that visit he put in my notes I complained about my back and neck which is wrong. My number one complaint after the fall was I could not move or lift my arm. I thought perhaps I had broke a bone but the urgent care ruled that out and told me they thought it was much more serious. When I arrived at the appt. Dr. Kendall's assistant told me that he told her to just x-ray "their stuff", which she did with xrays of the C and L spine. Omitted the T spine for some reason and paid no attention to my injured arm even though after5 days I was still not able to lift the arm or use it in any way and had experienced extreme pain since the fall.. Dr. Kendall came in and tried to move my arm around which caused more pain. He then told me he was going to send me to PT. I asked him about an MRI and he said "didn't think it was necessary at that time. I asked about something for pain and he said just take some Tylenol, which I had told him I was already taking. My pain continued and I was unable to move it. I called his office a few days later and asked to leave a message for him. There was no return and I continued to call and ask that someone contact him because of my excruciating pain. I even tried to reach some one over the weekend. I finally got a call back from his MA on Monday and she said she had sent him an email but had no response. She said he was supposed to order an MRI for me that last Friday but put the note in the file but did not sign it. I finally got the MRI on Tuesday and he said I "had a tear in my rotator cuff and to keep going to PT." I stopped one day on the way to PT and left a message the front desk asking them to please get it to him right away because of the pain and when they did he said it was just some "muscles tightening up". After several days of the pain I myself wondered if some Robaxin would help the pain if it was muscular. After no response for days and not being able to even sleep because of the pain I sent him a note through My Chart asking for a prescription for Robaxin. Still no response. after 7 days until I saw it on My Chart. I got in my car and went to the pharmacy I had used before I moved. The next time I saw Dr. K he told me I didn't need to come back unless I had problems with the things "he covers". I have now learned that there is surgery that could have been done to correct arm and I would have had regained the use of my arm and the pain in my arm would have subsided. From what I have been told by two different doctors is that surgery needed to be done with-in 2 weeks because scarring starts to build and the tissue schrivels and dies. I was also told this is basic orthopedic knowledge. In fact one doctor said it was "Orthopedic 101". I am a senior but am very active. Before the fall I played cards three times a week, taught computer, volunteered at the library and enjoyed my life to the fullest. Now I have no use of the arm, and never will, and there is very little I can do. I can't even take care of my own basic needs and have to have someone wash my hair and cut my toe nails and finger nails. Putting on make up is almost impossible. I have even contacted Mayo Clinic and they said there is little they can do. They have offered to correct the rotator cuff problem because I didn't just have a tear in the rotator cuff like Kendall said, tow of the four sections of my rotator cuff are completely severed from the bone and there is only one major surgery that can fix that from what I am told. What a nightmare my life has become which could have been avoided. This was the worst experience I could have ever imagined! I have total loss of use in my right arm after seeing Dr. Kendall. I have been told this by more than one doctor. I had a bad fall and had seen Dr. Kendall before so the doctor … More
He didn't give me accurate information on my MRI and dismissed me after 3 visits. I was told that if he had referred me to a surgeon within two weeks of my fall they could have restored the use of my arm. He also told me I merely had a tear in my rotator cuff when two sections of the rotator cuff are torn from the bone. When I finally got to see another orthopedic physician he told me both issues were separate and I would most likely never be rid of the pain. They can repair the rotator cuff with major surgery but the arm and some pain will stay the same. Beware of this DO. He is not a medical doctor, he just practices with a group of MD's. I have lost all respect for him. He didn't even ask if I needed pain medication. I finally called him after several weeks and asked for something and it was a full week before he called it into the pharmacy. Another doctor referred me to a surgeon saying I was going to need extensive care for 'a long time.'

I was so disappointed in this doctor. I was in extreme pain from an accident and all he did was send me to physical therapy. It seemed he didn't want to be bothered. No follow-up or anything else. When I saw another orthopedic doctor he ;seemed surprised that Dr. Kendall hadn't done anything to help me with my pain or sent me to a doctor who could have done procedures that would have corrected the problems.before it was too late.

I was so impressed with Dr. Kendall and his assistants. He was kind and made sure I understood the problem I have completely. I had to call his office after my appointment on two different occasions regarding a problem and expected his assistant to call me back but Dr. Kendall called me himself and went over all of the information I needed to have. I would recommend him highly to anyone that is in need of a caring, very competent, and compassionate doctor. The way he explains things is so thorough and on the patient's level it is extremely helpful. I never felt rushed and was treated with the utmost respect.

The Receptionist, MA/Nurses interaction, sensitivity, interpersonal skills, mannerism, work ethics and the knowledge of their jobs are unacceptable. The Providers are excellent! I find it appalling that the people who represent the providers and Clinic are employees. I will continue my care with the providers until I am healed; but I will never return to the facility. I am not looking forward to my next encounter with the staff and I would not recommend anyone to the clinic.

He was disheveled and unkempt. I had a lot of pain after a spinal fusion and he acted like I was wasting his time even talking; he wouldn't prescribe even conservative pain management drugs. Two people I work with had the same experience with him after serious spinal injuries. Choose a different doctor at the orthopedic clinic!

The staff was the very most unfriendly, cold, uncaring bunch of nasty people I have ever come across. It seemed like THEY were doing me a favor by assisting me to check in. Their attitude was so abbrasive that I will never go back there again!!!!!
