Dr. Richard Enoch Kaufman

Dr Kaufman walks on water. He is thorough, gentle, kind, funny, and an amazing diagnostician who thinks outside the box. I'm grateful to him for years of care, not to mention book recommendations.... His practice now is concierge medicine, and while that is not inexpensive, it allows him to take the kind of time with patients that results in a relaxed and thorough visit. If you message him with a concern, he most likely will call you back very quickly and discuss the issue. I consider myself very fortunate to be in his care. Kudos to his staff, too.

The best doctor I have ever known. Always available, always helpful, very kind and quite brilliant. I feel safe in Dr. Kaufman’s care.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kaufman for over 30 years. I can't imagine starting over with a new doctor, since he knows me so well. He is kind, considerate, funny (when appropriate), and extremely knowledgeable. I really feel fortunate to be a part of the fairly recent concierge program. Do Not Go to this practice. They do not care about their patients personally. I was a patient for 30+ years and due to work constraints (I am a nurse and have to cover multiple shifts on call) and I missed 2 appointments that I PAID FOR, over the course of 30+ years and NOW they tell me I cannot see my doctor any longer. This is BAD PATIENT CARE AND BAD PRACTICE. Previously I have come to my appointments but have been kept WAITING for up to an 1 & 1/2 hours, but that is OK. You should be able to understand that at some point in a person's life they may miss appointments that is BEYOND their control!!!! UNACCEPTABLE for a MD that I loved who I THOUGHT cared about my well-being. I am extremely disappointed in him and his practice. Do Not Go to this practice. Dr Kaufman was my primary care doctor for 25 years. Recently his practice became a concierge practice. For an annual fee of $2500, he would be at your disposal 24/7. He promised that he would still minister to his non concierge patients. That turned out to be untrue. Evidently, he took on other patients in the practice that were not originally his because they were willing to pay the $2500. I was promptly kicked to the curb and was told that I would have to choose another doctor in the practice.

I am 86 and I has been my good fortune to have had Dr.Kaufman as my primary physician for the past 30 or so years or since he took over from Dr. Zimmerman. He "listens" to his patients and treats the "whole" human being. A teaching doctor, he gives his patients and every member of his staff the knowledge they need to understand physical problems and treatments. In my opinion he is the finest example of what a physician should be, caring, knowledgeable, wise and kind.
