When I was a little girl of 11, my father was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease. He was told he had 6 months to live. This was in 1972. My father asked for a second opinion. Our family doctor, Dr. Ditoro sent him to see Dr. Richard Gams in Birmingham. Dr. Gams was working on a new chemo for Hodgkin's and my father was a test patient. Within one year, my father's cancer was gone and it never came back. My dad passed away twenty years later. I just want to say thank you to Dr. Gams.
