In 2005 Dr Forester performed a total knee replacement on left knee. It has been perfect since then....!!! I'm playing senior softball three days a week. I drove back from NC, where I live, to see Dr. Forster. He replaced my right knee 16 years ago. I was having knee problems and wanted to get his opinion before I went to a orthopedic doctor in NC. Dr. Forester was amazing. He did a THR for me where there was a complication which he fixed. On my subsequent visits, he took the time to answer my questions. I would recommend that patients write the questions down. I would highly recommend that you consider him for your joint surgery. Staff is always professional, efficient, courteous.

After surgery exams went well. Total knee surgery rehab and healing going well. I was told to anticipate one full year before total recovery. Thanks, good work.

Dr Forster and his Physician Assistant are terrific. Both pre-, during and post knee replacement. Great physicians and caring providers.

Dr. Forster did my knee replacement in July 2021. His PA is Sheela Patel. They are both wonderful! They explained everything to me about the surgery and what to expect after the surgery. My surgery went so well and of course I had some discomfort postoperative but that was handled very well. I have full motion of my knee joint and I can now walk with out falling down which I did a lot of prior to having the surgery. I no longer have to deal with constant knee pain which is absolutely wonderful Dr. Forster and his team take excellent care of their patients! I highly recommend him!

I have had both knees replaced, I am now able to dance, bicycle, and hike without pain!

They took an X-ray of my knee, seen and knew just what to do. Helped my wife with a sports injury too.Very caring,thorough, and quick. Will visit again when needed for sure. Thank You!

Stay away from Dr RICHARD W. FORSTER, M.D., FRCS. He specializes in hip replacement. It was tough enough to deal with his atrocious bed side manner, but now he has even insulted my wife by calling her a cripple as he states he "will not" do the surgery he agrees she needs. This is all after he led us in the 1st appointment to believe he would do the surgery. He insulted another doctor who turned down doing this surgery stating the other doctor was wrong in his approach then today upon turning down my wife he claimed the same issue which he claimed the prior doctor did wrong. The only reason he had us schedule the 2nd appointment was to get money in his pocket! He knew at the 1st appointment he would not do the surgery & even stated that in the 2nd appointment! Have a bad tear in L Meniscus and arthritis which Dr Forester reviewed the MRI for. He sent in his PA to talk to me, who could not answer my questions and told me I was too old for surgery and that he would not operate. I was not offered shots for pain, joint replacement or anything. I am still wondering why?????

I would like to thank Dr. Forester for making me feel comfortable the moment I met him. He took the time to explain my situation using x-rays and analogies. I believe his number one goal was to help alleviate my pain and not just shuffle me through or jump to surgery. Thank you again doctor Forester.

He replaced my lefty knee in 2013,I told him that something did fell right he told me I wasn't a DR and passed it off tryed see him after that and he said nothing was wrong .I limped for 7years after that I seen another DR they replaced what he did I would not recommend him to NOBODY HE HAS NO MANNERS TO THE PATIIENT VERY RUDE I have done a lot of business there but I will never be back

I had a total hip replacement and am now 5 months post-op. Dr. Forster and his team were fantastic. They provided education prior to surgery regarding the surgery and physical therapy demonstrated the exercises to be done after. Very helpful and reassuring. Their skill, kindness and great follow-up has helped me recover to the activity that was normal several years ago. Everyone I have spoken to since has told of the same great experience they had.

I actually found that I'd reviewed Dr. Forster under the knee replacement area and nowhere else, I assume. Dr. Forster replaced both of my hips before my knee. I bounced back so fast from the right hip that he allowed me to get my left one done 5 1/2 weeks later. I bounced back even faster from the left hip and was walking on my own w/o a walker, etc. after 2 days out of the hospital and less than 4 full days after surgery. He's the BEST!

Dr. Forster has replaced both knees and my experience with him, his staff, and the physical therapists has been completely positive. He is kind, compassionate, ready to listen, and it was easy to contact him with questions and/or concerns. His PA was also friendly and knowledgable.

I had my right hip replaced in October 2016 by Dr. Forster. My recovery went as he said and is doing great. A friend had his replaced the same week as I and did not fare as well. Dr. Forster did the posterior procedure on me, my friend had the anterior. I would recommend the posterior approach based on my experience. Today, my replaced hip is trouble free and I can do most any activity that I did before except running or bending and reaching down to the right side.

I have used O.I.D. for quite some time now, Dr. Forrester performed a Left Total Knee on me back in 2005. I went thru surgery and recovery with no problems at all. I have had surgery with Dr. K. Paley and he is also an excellent Dr. I would highly recommend any Dr. at O.I.D. to anyone that needs any Orthopedic needs at all.

Superior Knee replacement surgeon. I had both knees replaced individually, That was 18 years ago, now at age 87, I am still kicking! Thanks ! May you have a very wonderful holiday season.

Dr Forster came highly recommended and now that I have had my knee replaced by him I can also happily refer him. He and his team are not only highly skilled in what they do but they take all the guess work out of it for you. They have the process of preparing you for pre and post surgery down to a science. Follow instructions A,B,C & D and everything just falls into place without you having to really think about it which is so helpful when your sole focus as a patient is on your recovery.
