Having called ahead, we assured the office would be wearing face masks to be in compliance with state law on COVID. We did not expect what we found when we arrived. We were disappointed to find there people in the office without facemasks. It's not that they needed to pull down their face masks to try on glasses. They simply had no masks at all. The customer station were in close proximity to each other so obviously we would have been breathing the same air. Unfortunately, it was obviously not safe in the enclosed area and we felt we had to leave. Since we live nearby, so I immediately called and let them know we were thinking of rescheduling if they would be in compliance with NC COVID law. The staff member said they do not require customers to wear masks. This was disappointing as Dr Edney appeared to be a very nice doctor. Should patients have to feel unsafe in a doctor's office?
