Richard Joseph Cardosi

My wife has picked Dr Cardosi going forward for her fight with Paritoneal Cancer. Absolutely straight shooter, talked to not at us. Actually stated "if it was MY mother I would.....". Inspires realistic confidence. Glad he is in our corner going forward.

Was given to this Dr. Because my 1st Dr had Covid. This Dr performed a Myomectomy for a Uterine Fibroidnon the organ side. He took the big one out, but left the other 2 (why?). I woke up screaming after coming out of Anesthesia when done and they knocked me back out (thank God). The hospital booted me out after about an hour after surgery & explained things while I was on Pain Meds (had no clue what was said). I Overdosed on pain medication in 4 days without eating or drinking. I had severe constipation when I started eating. So much so i had to try to tape my stomach skin together so my stitches would not pull out. Had no home health care or help after I request it. I have no abdominal muscles to urinate or for bowl mvt, only gravity to sit & wait. Burning and clump of hair pulling sensation at belly button. Dr. Cardosi said its Normal and it's 6 months! Behind my belly button opened up and I could see white stuff. Again Dr. Cardosi said its normal. No. No, its not Normal!! A year later, my lower abdominals still do not work. I still have urinating & constipation issue. It never went away! The belly button area is still painful to the touch scale 10! And now I have a bellybutton hernia at the surgery site. Dr. Cardosi attitude is callus, almost arrogant and not empathetic at all and was even smart-ass when I was asking him for help/why these issues were present. At at exam time, no permission or warning about rectal probe! No thank you

Been here 4 times and 4 times he has been an hour or more past Appointment time. If he was more personable, maybe I would be more tolerant :(

Patronizing, dismissive, and incompetent. Was unable to perform a pelvic exam on me without making me shriek in pain and then refused to discuss my care any further without going straight to a procedure involving general anesthesia.

Very kind and caring doctor! I've heard nothing but good things about him he was a wonderful doctor for my surgery!.Much appreciated by me for sure!!

He is absolutely the best doctor.

Dr Cardosi ...I felt very awkward when I was referred to a man but after meeting him and hearing his knowledge I felt very comfortable...He is a excellent Dr and good what he does...I had a total hysterectomy Oct 19 2020 ...will recommend to others very pleased

Operated me for uterine fibroids causing an unecessary vaginal tear trying to pull out an enlarged uterus full of fibroids .I read about this procedure and he was supposed to cut the uterus in small pieces to take it out thru the vagina,but he did not.Now I am suffering from a different problem than the original and it was caused by him. Dr. Cardosi and his staff are outstanding. Caring, compassionate, and highly skilled. Dr. Cardosi is simply the best!

After nine months I am just beginning to heal from the terrible surgery done by Cardosi. My current doctor and emergency room doctors said that the procedure and infection was one of the worst they have seen. This doctor and his nurses are so compassionate. My condition after surgery was not stabilized and I couldn't bear the pain and passed out whenever I tried to walk with help in my hospital yet but he released me to go home even though my attending nurses pleaded with him to continue my care for at least 48 hours but I was released 23 hrs after surgery because he said that no one was going to ruin his record and all his patients leave th hospital in less than 24 hrs after surgery. Horrible!! I refused to go back for after care and will always regret having this man touch me. Go to any other doctor!

Terrible Doctor and nurse Lacks compassion failure to perform their duties and is more concerned about money than their patients. No respect for family members and patient. Can not obtain prior auths or manage billing which resulted in delay of treatment. Do your research they say he's top notch but just because your educated doesn't make you a good doctor your team should communicate and perform their duties with compassion and help families and their loved ones. So sad...

Best experience ever the minute I walk in their office I was explained what was going to happen before & after surgery & I thank God for leading me to Dr Cardosi for my surgery & him for doing a great job I feel without him I would have not made it (To the staff & Dr Cardosi Thank you from the bottom of my heart)

He was to do a lap hysterectomy but he opened me up. He cut very deeply and I was sent home within hours to have home health twice a day for two weeks. They recommended a wound vac but Dr. Cardosi refused to order. After a month he finally ordered one. I went to wound care and that doctor healed me. What was to be a two week healing took 16 weeks. Now 3 years later, the cancer has returned. I need radiation, which should have been given after hysterectomy, which Dr. Cardosi also refused.

For an experience no one wants to experience. The group at Dr. Cardosi's office made Me feel at ease. Everyone is nice and personable. Specially Dr. Cardosi. His nurses and front desk ladies and we're kind, I was very impressed. Thank you for making my experience a pleasant one.

I have the highest praise for the team of Cardosi/Lyons. Their sense of curiosity and skill provided a most unusual outcome to a usual hysterectomy operation. The finding of the bladder mass was attributable to their willingness to go beyond the specialty of gynecology and into the urinary. Thank you team Cardosi/Lyons. I love you both and Dr Graham Greene !
