For far too many yrs I put up with this gum smacking, short wearing man. Not qualified to be addressed as "Dr". The 50+ yr old medical expert runs around his office in baggy knee shorts. Professional? Respect? The other former patients comment about lack of respect are completely correct. What he wears is nothing compared to his incompetence. He failed to note my A1c- diabetics lab results were climbing higher and higher -straight up although I asked multiple times. Nah, youre fine. My thyroid levels were also out normal range. Also not concerned although I felt worse and worse. The professionally dressed and intelligent PCP I later saw was shocked at how clearly badly sick I was, how long breckwoldt had left me untreated. Last straw- Dec 2020. Rollout of the 1st covid vaccines. Thanks to age/health I qualified for 1st appointment for the 1st shot. I sent portal request and question, do you know if /when you'll be given the vaccine or where should I go? Breckwoldts response-"what vaccine"? I tried again-remember, Dec 2020-the entire world knew key words-covid, the virus, vaccines, lock down, Moderna, Pfizer. Every single person knew the vaccines were being scheduled. How every sick and /or older person was desperate to be one of the 1st for the long hoped for life saving vaccine. There was only 1 vaccine. 1 pandemic virus. The world talked of 1 vaccine. One. We all spoke the same language. Virus. Covid. Vaccine. Next try -completely spelled out SCARS covid-19. The Pfizer Bio-n-tech vaccine. 1st shipment Dec 7th. His answer - " I have no idea what you are talking about". My final response - "see if you understand this- You Are Fired".

Rushed the visit. My husband went in with a list of 5 things to discuss with Dr Breckwold. Dr left after only with patient 6 minutes. Never got past the 2nd item on his list. Dr. B has been my doctor since 2012. Has great bedside manners and explains everything is a way that even I can understand. Wouldn't go anywhere else...

I love this office! The staff are so nice and patient, the nurses are so easy to talk to and Dr. Breckwoldt is so understanding and easy to talk to as well. I would recommend coming to them! They are amazing!

I’ve been with Dr Breckwoldt for 17 years. He’s very through and will send you to a specialist when it’s needed. The wait time in the waiting room is less than 15 minutes. He’s with Piedmont Healthcare System. The office staff are friendly and welcoming. The office and examination rooms are very clean.

This Dr. took the time with me as I am quite nervous & he has patience like most Dr.'s do not. I feel Blessed that I went back to see him for a third time he is the kind of Dr. you can trust.

Staff very unfriendly. Dr. Breckwold don't care about his patients gets impatient when trying to figure out what's wrong, then sends you to e.r. Just pushes it on another doctor.

My mother in law sees this Dr. and he is the worst. She has had re-occurring pneumonia for the past few years and every time she sees him he's so nonchalant about her condition. Recently she ended up in the emergency room while on vacation with another episode and at her follow up appointment, which took 2 1/2 weeks to get, he's non-responsive about the information provided from the ER and other Drs. Says your lungs are clear, bye! See you if you're sick again. Definitely looking for a new doctor. My mother in law sees this Dr. and he is the worst. I have had Doctor Breckwoldt as my GP for over a year now and he has been great.

I Love Dr Breckwoldt and all of his amazing staff! They take such great care of me! It doesn’t matter what I go in for, they listen to my concerns and put my mind at ease. I couldn’t ask for a better Doctor and staff.

The Staff is Professional & this amazing Doctor I went to for the second time and this time with my husband made sure I got B.P. med's & for the first time in my life I took one. I will keep taking them as I looked up what he gave me and also what my husband had said about how kind and a good bedside manner to him. My husband has not seen a Doctor except for test I begged him to get but Dr. Richard J. Breckwoldt & his staff made us feel welcome & we felt comfortable in how we both were treated as Human beings & I am one person who trust no one. Today while calling to inform them of a wreck that had me in sitting traffic - commuting from Atlanta to Hiram with rainy weather means unfortunately there are a lot of wrecks. When I called to see if it was acceptable to be late or if I should reschedule their staff member Lindsey was SO rude to me! She made false claims That I had cancelled appointments with them before (news check- I’m a new patient- first time visit my dear) I’m spreading the word of how I was treated and will rally against this. No one deserves to be spoken to the way I was today. I’ll be pursuing every review site possible. Patient care goes beyond doctor, it includes your staff and yours is not quality

I have been going to Dr Breckwoldt for 3 years now and this has been the best experience in my life when dealing with the medical industry. From the moment I come thru the door, I am greeted with such professionalism and patience. I completely LOVE the entire staff and have never had a poor experience. It is odd to feel as though I can't wait to get to the doctor but I do here. As far as Dr. Richard goes, what a wonderful human being. He makes me feel so comfortable and he listens to any concerns I have while trying to find a solution that fits my needs. Thank you for all you do, and know that it is greatly appreciated!! It was an awesome visit. Everyone there was so very friendly. I love how the doctor interacts with his patients. Most doctors don't have time for you. Best doctor I have been too. The nurse Denise and Nurse Holly were a hot. Glad we found this doctors office.

Very happy with doctor Breckwoldt. Happy we found him after we moved here 15 years ago.

After 2 days in a hospital for head injury the discharge papers said within a couple of days that I had to go to my doctor for blood test. I contacted Dr. Breckwoldt and saw him the next day. He refused to do the blood test and then accused me of being an alcoholic, (I don't know where that came from) and then insisted on going to AA meetings that same day, I guess he gets a kickback. Apparently he thinks if you drink beer on the weekends you are an alcoholic. I think he's lost his mind! If your doctor don't believe what you say and doesn't do his job, he shouldn't be a doctor. Last two appointments canceled last minute, including a physical that has been scheduled for a year. He is nice, but apparently not very available. More than once I've had to call my insurance company to find some where to go for illness, etc. I do not recommend. Especially if you have a work schedule to work around to see a doctor.

Been a patient for a few years, called them on Tuesday to see if i could be seen for an emergency visit with flu symptoms, Mary the front desk person made me an appointment for 9:45 that day, i even confirmed it. When i got there she said she had me scheduled for Friday, she acknowledged her mistake and went to ask Dr Breckwolt if he could still see me and he said no, he was to busy and wasn't seeing anymore patients that day. So she comes back and tells me he can't see me and that I'll need to go somewhere else. I explained how sick i was but that didn't seem to matter to them. And they called me today to confirm my Friday appointment at 9:45...SERIOUSLY Mary needs to learn how to do her job... So i will be looking for a more professional Dr and office. Dr. Breckwoldt is a great physician with an old-school style of treating patients. He reminds me of my doctor growing up as a child. He has a no-nonsense approach to treatment and will hold you accountable with treatment plans and maintaining your health. He's a great listener and genuinely cares about getting to know you personally. He gives direct responses to any questions and they often come with an amusing story.

Dr. Breckwoldt is an excellent physician that I recommend to friends and family. He really took great care of me even though I can't afford health insurance and the price was very reasonable. He sees you as quickly as possible and does an outstanding job. Also, his staff is very kind and are always happy to see me when I come in. I would rate 10 stars if I could. Dr Breckwoldt has been my doctor for 22 years. He is an excellent doctor who puts patient needs first. I hope I never need to go to another doctor because nobody can measure up to him

I love Dr.Breckwoldt. He is very approachable and soft tempered. Mary, Robyn, Holly and Denise (sorry if I mispelled names) are such wonderful women. I always look forward to seeing them when I have appointments. It is comforting to know the staff if you see them frequently.. And this group of women is very comforting and kind. I have been a patient for 14 years and do not mind driving from Douglasville to Hiram because he is an excellent doctor. His diagnosis have always been correct and I trust his advice completely. He has an excellent way of putting me at ease and will spend as much time with me as needed. He is always friendly and concerned about my health. All of his staff is courteous and very friendly. They always put me at ease. I love this doctor and his staff.

He is an intuitive doctor who uses his expertise in the medical field to identify complex and more general issues. He listens and acts quickly to get to the root of the problem. I would definitely recommend him to friends and family. Most of the staff is great, but some are slightly indifferent.
