Felt like I was being rushed out. Dr borrowdale didn’t seem to care much to try and help me get a diagnosis and I drove over an hour to get there. Kind of disappointed.

Dr. Borrowdale has been an excellent doctor with exceptional skills and a very caring approach. Dr Borrowdale always instills confidence in me. He is friendly and always makes you feel comfortable as well as confident in his demeanor during follow up visits.

NOT a good experience, my dad had head and neck cancer , had it removed had a horrific time over a month recovery at Loyola Hospital. Cancer back before radiation was over. HE had severe nerve damage and was disfigured, RUSH was a better experience helped remove the painful fungating tumors that came from the first surgery, he has since passed and I am so very sad the hell he had to go thru - disapppointed in the care at Loyola - extremely incompetent NOT a good experience, my dad had head and neck cancer , had it removed had a horrific time over a month recovery at Loyola Hospital. Prompt and professional. Helpful and friendly resident was assisting.

Dr. Borrowdale always spends the time with you that you need to fully understand your condition and where you are heading from here . He listens and answers all the questions you have . He is upbeat positive and reassuring .

Dr. Borrowdale is great. The ease of scheduling the original appointment however with the call center was terrible. I was transferred 3 times and took over an hour just to be registered and told his office would call to schedule. Once his office did schedule the process was smooth. Call center is not great and long wait times. Almost changed my mind about scheduling with loyola die to it. Dr. Borrowdale came recommend by my PCP though and I'm glad I seen him. Dr. Borrowdale and his team have provided me excellent care. I’ve appreciated his empathetic approach and that he’s personally kept me updated during my diagnosis and treatment.

He is the reason why I am alive and do well. Almost 6 yrs. ago Dr. Borrowdale did a total laryngectomy. At the time I was wondering what the future was going to be like. At first it was extremely difficult but I made it. My wife as my advocate and Dr. Borrowdale as my surgeon l knew I was in good hands. I also to mention the wonderful speech pathologist Sarah, Katie and a few others whose names escape me. He is the reason why I am alive and do well. Borrowdale is the best, I have a good raport with him. He listens to me and is concerned with my health. He took a baseball size tumor out of my head and neck 2 years ago and he is a positive force in my recovery. I like him !

I saw him today for the first time. He was great. I got in early for my appointment and my issue was resolved in a matter of minutes. He and his staff were kind and caring. I would make the drive anytime for such wonderful care.

I'm a 33 year old woman who relapsed for the 3rd time with cancer. He told me to wait to see if it would "go down on its own." It didn't. I had to beg him for a real biopsy. After the biopsy, his assistant told me I had a different type of cancer (which wasn't even true). I would ask them to confirm with the labs before scaring a patient. He also left me a horrible scar under my chin. I would not recommend him. Find someone else who cares.

Dr Barrowdale’s knowledge and confidence assured me I was seeing the right doctor for my surgery. He took time to listen and explain. Surgery was a success and I would highly recommend him.

My dad had squamous cell cancer in his jaw that impacted his jawbone. Dr Borrowdale completed the removal of the cancer and another surgeon completed the reconstruction. My dad has made a great recovery from the surgery and almost complete functionality of his jaw and mouth. I found Dr Borrowdale to be easy to work with, very knowledgeable and competent, responsive to our requests. Overall we had a great result.

I recently had a run with a tumor known as myofibroma. I needed an ENT to do this surgery as it isn't your every day surgeons business to attempt this surgery. He did an amazing job and my recovery was fast and the incision is barely noticeable, even though it was approximately 1 inch. Very polite personality as well.

2012 Dr Borrowdale, performed throat surgery on my dad who at the time was 77 yrs old. After which my dad could not use his right arm, can NOT eat, can NOT produce saliva and said "well we read the film wrong-it happens"!!! Now at 82 yrs old my poor father is extremely thin always dehydrated and can not do a heck of a lot because he is so frail and only has use of his left arm! I wanted to sue then but my father said he would probably die before all the litigation is over.

My mother, who is almost 100 years of age, was referred to Dr. Borrowdale by Edwards Hospital. She had what was diagnosed as a benign tumor on her upper lip. After seeing Dr. Borrowdale and his team several times, and receiving options for treatment, the decision was made to remove the tumor, which turned out to be malignant. Dr.Borrowdale and his team, including Dr.Pittman, were amazing, explaining all facets of the surgery. Thanks to their expert care, she is doing well!! So thankful to him!

I met Dr Barrowdale when i was referred to him by my cancer doctors.There was no one in my healthcare system that was qualified to do the surgery i needed. I met him and his team on the day of my consultation .He was very professional as well was his team .i knew after seeing him that he was the one to do my surgery and that i would be in good hands.surgery went well and as expected .Dr Barrowdale,his team,and Loyola were the best place for me to have my surgery done .I highly recommend him.

Dr. Borrowdale rushed through a surgery on a holiday weekend in order to go away for the weekend. Instead of taking just a portion of my thyroid as I had agreed, he not only took my entire thyroid, but also destroyed my parathyroid glands in the process. This has been life-altering for me. This man will never know - or care - that he took a vibrant woman and literally disabled her. Heartbreaking.
