Dr. Richard Lee Barnes

I had had ear pain, jaw pain, pain that radiated to the back of my head everyday for over a year. My ear exam showed normal. My hearing tests were fine. After an MRI from my internal medicine doctor had negative findings and other ear testing was done, it was determined that my Eustachian tube was blocked. Dr. Barnes performed Eustachian tube balloon plasty in his office (without anesthetic, but with Afrin sprayed in my nose prior to the procedure as well as a Valium-like sedative and a pain pill taken before the procedure). I was awake but relaxed during the procedure. The next day was the first time in over a year that I had not had ear pain! No jaw pain! No pain radiating to the back of my head! My ear was sore the next day, but the constant throbbing pain that kept me up at night was gone! I am so thankful to Dr. Barnes!He and his staff are so caring and compassionate. I am so grateful! The procedure took an hour and I didn’t need any pain pills the next day. What an unbelievable difference it made! Thank you, Dr. Barnes! I can’t thank you enough!

Allow me to scream at the top of me lungs of how grateful I am for Dr. Barnes. I've been a patient of his for a few years and he's performed a few surgeries on myself and one of my children. I've struggled with hearing loss my WHOLE life. Finally after a recent graph surgery he did on my right ear, I CAN HEAR AGAIN!!!!! I'm two weeks post opp and there is still some packing in my ear which causes my few moments of hearing to come and go but I at least know I CAN HEAR!! Thank you so so so so so much Dr. Barnes! Dr Barnes is simply wonderful! He was very attentive and thorough. He addressed my situation and suggested next course of action with very good results.

Very friendly and helpful! I had a lot of questions and he answered every one. I would definitely recommend Dr Barnes and Dr D'Angelo. I had to wait a bit, but it was worth it! Dr Burke no longer works with them.

Had a 3 day nosebleed which was unsuccessfully treated at Urgent care. Dr. Barnes got me in the same day, quickly fixed the issue and got me on the mend - all the while explaining everything he was doing and all I should do afterwards. Extremely professional yet still talks on a personal level and is as friendly as a doctor can get.

The office staff was very considerate in squeezing me in for stitches removal after an associate was on-call to stitch up my face at the emergency room after a nasty fall. In addition, Dr. Barnes made an excellent suggestion when discussing the reason for my fall which was a viral chest infection and my ongoing allergy and asthma trouble. I am looking forward to the next visit.

Scheduling with this office is a nightmare to begin with. Hopefully when you do get an appointment you'll be able to see the doctor, especially after you call 30+ times to confirm they're seeing patients that day and sit through 2.5 hours of traffic and 2 highway shutdowns. If you do get to see him then you're doing better than me, because apparently lunch time was more important to this office than I was.
