I started with Dr. Bakst after a podiatrist wanted to remove a joint in my toe 30 years ago. Doctor Bakst a mobilize my foot and I have never had another issue. I have been advised now to have an ankle replacement I went back to Dr. Bakst And he put me on medication and Ankle breathable brace and I have been almost painless for three months. In my opinion he is the best.

The secretary billed me $5,500 in my first visit even though I was insured. Then when I called the insurance company she wanted me to pay $150 in advance and said that if the insurance did not covered me I will have to pay the remainder. The insurance lady wanted advise me to leave since the secretary was very rude. Dr. Bakst told me that I was wasting his time so I left. Please do not visit this doctor, he and his secretary has no customer service skills. No wonder the office was empty!!!

After injuring my foot I was recommended to see Dr. Bakst while there I addressed a chronic foot pain. He spent a great deal of time explaining my condition and helping me feel comfortable since I was on my feet for so long. I will continue using him in the future.

Old office and outdated equipment.

In my assertion Dr. Richard H. Bakst deceived me when selling me a pair of custom fitted orthotics and made false claims that they would fit properly and provide support.The orthotics he sold me give me significant foot and ankle pain and are unwearable. He refused to accommodate me in any way. It has taken two and a half months of fitting and still they cause me significant foot and ankle pain. He also ordered a half size pair after I asked him for a full size pair. I can't recommend him.
