After a recent move to Wichita, my sister-in-law chose Dr. Sharma as a PCP. We needed to reschedule the initial visit at the last minute due to the fact that a home health nurse scheduled a home visit, was late for that visit, and then stayed longer, causing my SIL to be unable to make the dr. appt. I did call and notify the office. On the day of the rescheduled visit, my SIL, who has a complicated medical history, had a medical episode while getting ready, which caused us to be a bit late. We arrived 16 minutes after the appt. and Dr. Sharma refused to see her. Further, she labeled it as a second "no show" appt. and will not take her as a patient, which we were then told is her policy. Apparently, policies are more important than patient care. While this was frustrating and annoying, we are grateful that we found out that Dr. Sharma does not care about actually caring for patients and we are free to find someone who does.

I don't like giving people bad reviews, but in this case I kind of felt inclined to....I stopped going to this doctor after a few years. Just did not get a good feeling with her. She seemed very impatient and just not wanting to listen to my health issues. I am kind of glad that I don't have her for a primary anymore.

Absolutely terrible experience. Dr Sharma refused to help me after an epidural injection caused a cerebral spinal fluid leak. She told me she didn’t believe me and refused to make a referral for a blood patch. I laid in bed for 2 months before being able to get it diagnosed at Wesley. Had to go out of network and pay out of pocket while my spouse was an Ascension employee. Dr Sharma refused to give me a referral to a gastroenterologist after I told her I’d been having abdominal pain for the last year. I had to go find my own referral and after months of waiting for appointments found out I have had pancreatic insufficiency the whole time. Dr Sharma refused to give me a referral to an endocrinologist so I had to go pay out of pocket to hire a functional medicine doctor to do the labs she wouldn’t order. Found out I have been insulin resistant the whole time. I’ve suffered very difficult symptoms through all of this and it all could have been ended much sooner if she was the kind of person who cared and listened to her patients. Dr Sharma always listens to our concerns and suggests reasonable treatments and ideas for our issues. She is a very caring and ethical Doctor. We really appreciate her and her Medical advice.

Dr. Sharma her entire staff or some of the rudest most mean evil in people I've ever encounter

I tried to make an appointment for my son today, he has shunts in his head, he started having symptoms of shunt malfunction this weekend, we contacted his neurologist who ordered tests, his neurosurgeon looked at the tests and ordered more tests, it shows he doesn't have shunt malfunction, but the neurosurgeon wanted us to get an apt with his primary care physician to see what is going on with him, when I called for an appointment, I had to speak to Elsie I don't know if she is a real nurse or not but if she is she isn't very knowledgeable, I explained to her what was going on with my son and that the neurosurgeon wanted us to get him in to see his primary care physician, Elsie said to me, what do you want Dr. Sharma to do about it since he has already had all these tests. I explained to her the tests showed no shunt failure, that something else was going on with him, well to make a long short, we can't get in to see the Dr. Until October, so we are suppose to wait 3 weeks for him to be seen, even though he is having severe headache, vomiting, and unable to keep his o2 sats up even on 5L/o2 Needless to say we are looking for another Dr. I don't call this care, l call this neglect and abandonment by a Dr and her staff. The "doctor" was grossly incompetent, rude and condescending. Refused to take me as a patient until I explained that patient abandonment is considered malpractice. She stormed off cussing and screaming, returning later with nurse in tow and stated she was writing the prescription. She stated bluntly that she was not helping me just because I had threatened legal action. Her nurse and I both rolled our eyes. She later slandered me and my wife with full knowledge and approval of Via Christi management. Legal action against her and the clinic should help remind everyone involved that it is about the patient, not the bloated wallets of doctors and hospitals. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! Wonderful experience with Dr Sharma and Elsie, are very caring and helpful

I have seen Dr. Sharma many times (when I had insurance) and she is awesome. When my Mom moved here to Wichita, I gave her Dr. Sharma's phone number. She is so happy with her too. She tells me that Dr. Sharma asks how I am and that makes me happy! Once I get back on insurance, I am going back to her!

Dr. Sharma is a very good Dr. she listens to you and is very caring and knowledgable about what needs you may have.

Today was my first appointment with Dr. Sharma and it was wonderful! She took the time to answer all of my questions without making me feel rushed and that’s a refreshing change. Her exam was thorough and she explained all of the options and let me choose how to proceed with my treatment. I’m looking forward to my follow visit!

Wonderful! The best family doctor I've ever had. I know she's an internist, but she is taking care of all my problems and conditions and I feel very comfortable with her.

She's a really great doctor. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend her.

Dr. Sharma and her nurse Elsie are very rude and dismissive when addressing concerns and rush you out the office/ off phone when you’re trying to get help about your health concerns. Awful experience. Please, if you are looking for a new primary care physician look elsewhere. The proof is in the pudding. I am shocked Ascension Via Christi hasn’t fired her yet. If I could, I wouldn’t rate her less than one star.

She has a terrible attitude and made outlandish accusations, very rude, and doesn't give definite answers. She's wishy-washy about test results, violates privacy information by telling other people, and takes her time in getting back to patients and doesn't seem to care enough to take the time to truly find out what's going on with the patients. Extremely unprofessional and sad excuse for a Doctor.
