Dr. Ricardo Lerma Solis

After a visit to the ER for yet another small bowel obstruction, Solis showed up for his diagnosis. Instead of wanting to pursue a less invasive approach, his constant response involved surgery, even though my gastroenterologist had told me that further surgery would worsen the issue. I informed him that unless it was a matter of life and death, I was refusing surgery. I left after signing a AMA (Against Medical Advice) release, the only time I've even considered doing this. His demeanor is horrible, his bedside manner is atrocious and his manner drips with condescension.

I agree! He's the worst Dr I have ever been to! He has no sympathy for you while he's doing the procedure (laser the pileups) it's so painful! He didn't even numb the area he was going to do laser on! Talk about the pain I was wide awake for the laser procedure in removing a pileup. He is so rude and didn't fix the problem, after years the problem has come back! Thanks, Dr Solis for taking my money and not taking care of my problem. Don't waste your money he is not a doctor that cares if you are in pain while he is doing the procedure. If you even make one whimpering sound he will stop the procedure! Without numbing the area how dare him think I wasn't going to make a sound. I'll never forget what I went through with this procedure plus it didn't even work, the problem came back.

Pay attention to the negative reviews, they were written for a reason. I had ongoing health issues and finally schedule a colonoscopy. I had complications during and after the procedure (I’m in my 30’s so that was unusual) and Dr. Solis had no idea that I experienced post-op issues...the other on-call doctor never shared that information and Dr. Solis never asked. I also had follow up testing done, dropped off my samples at a lab and never heard from Dr. Solis or his office again. That was more than 6 weeks ago. He does NOT work to solve the problem or actively seek information. He simply does the basics to check them off a list and mitigate malpractice lawsuits. Truly one of the worst doctors and experiences I’ve ever had.

My grandpa went in for a simple outpatient procedure and never recovered from that surgery. He ruined his life and now he is now in hospice care. I’d give anything in the world to have him home but thanks to him, it’ll never happen. I have to watch him suffer and it breaks my heart that he can’t enjoy the rest of his life the way he wanted to.

I took vacation time from my job to have the procedure done and then decided to take a leave of absence so that I could have an extra week to heal before going back to work. Dr. Solis had said that he would fill out any paperwork needed to have my leave approved. We had discussed that I would go back to work on the Feb. 23rd. It is now the 26th, and I have had to call 15 times and still they have not faxed the paperwork. I understand that they are busy, but this is part of their job as well.

Awful experience! He is extremely unprofessional and insensitive. Humiliated me and I felt traumatized for many years after the visit. I do not recommend him to anyone!!!!

Most unprofessional dr I have ever experienced! He has an awful disposition and a demeanor that is uncondicive to establishing a trusting relationship with his patients. He does not create a safe space for his patients. I do not ever want to see this dr again!!! TERRIBLE experience!!!!! His tactics are to humiliate.

Dr. Ricardo Solis is an amazing surgeon, he saved my life. I had a hole in my intestine and was slowly dying. For over three years I had been told by countless physicians that it was just hemorrhoids and that I need to eat better; get plenty of sleep, and drink water. All the while I was slowly dying. I had countless trips to the emergency room and a few times I almost didn't make it. By the grace of God I discovered him by accident. Within five minutes he had an accurate diagnosis and schedule

They care very little for the patient, they are EXTREMELY overbooked, and make no apologies for any inconvenience they are responsible for. They made us wait for over an hour, Dr. Solis refused to discuss my grandmother colon scope after her procedure because he was to busy and made us make an appointment 3 weeks later. At that appointment he took another patient in the middle of my grandmothers appointment, causing us to have to leave. 8 weeks and we still have no answers. Rude, inconsiderate.

OMG!!! Going back 10 years(2007), I was 31 years old and had a severe diverticulitis attack. (3 Xs in 1 year) Doctors in the ER were in disbelief that a person so young could have such an advanced case of Diverticulosis. I was referred to a specialist but opted to choose my own that a friend recommended. We exhausted all our options and I finally had a successful colon resection. He cares & listens and has an excellent bedside manner. Dr. Solis and his staff are the BEST!

This man is a butcher, took my colon out and he did it on purpose wasn't anything wrong with it and told me that I wouldn't need a colon and he said I couldn't get colon Cancer. He is a very bad doctor and would not reccomend him to anybody.

I would not recommend him to anybody.

Dr. Solice has been working with my family and I for over 10 years now. He is an excellent Doctor who is very knowledgable in his field. He has treated my wife for colon cancer though surgery and continues to provide the colonoscopies as scheduled. His office staff are the best as well. I would HIGHLY recommend this doctor for care, especially if you are being treated for colon cancer.
