I have found a true GEM!!! Dr. Estape is one of a kind! I had a hysterectomy 6 days ago and I was so scared and nervous. The nurses were wonderful and patient with me, dr was so comforting and calming. They honestly care so much for their patients. I cannot say enough good. I came home the same day of surgery and have had minimal pain. 6 days later and I feel 90%! I am so thankful I found Dr Estape and his team! Amazing surgeon!

I'm not sure if the procedures and training remain the same as what I received almost 3 years ago, but by the looks of these reviews....it's sad to see that nothing has changed. Not surprised in the slightest to see dozens of patients (or would-be) complaining about not being able to get in touch with anyone at the office. This office was severely understaffed at my time there, and I can only imagine it remains that way. I was told there were multiple phone lines to handle, however the sheer amount of calls coming in on a single day is too much for one single receptionist to handle. Thus, you can only manage to hear the first few words the patient is trying to get across before another call is coming through, and then another, and another. Completely negligent on their part. I also had the privilege of working in the new patient scheduling department after the person who was in charge left (surprise). This department, which is handled by one person, is in charge of one of, if not the most, crucial aspects of this office; getting the patient in with the Doctor. On an easy day, this department would receive anywhere from 20-50 referrals from other Doctors for new patients. They then would have to sort through these referrals by urgency. But, how could all these patients be scheduled to see the doctor if he's only in his office 2 out of 5 days of the week? They teach you to reschedule the upcoming appointment of some poor unsuspecting patient who had been waiting two-to-three months to see the Doctor to fit in someone else. These are a few, of the many, reasons the office is such a disaster and patients end up waiting 2-3 hours after their appointment time for the Doctor to tell them "why are you here". Dr. Estape as a doctor was amazing. New his stuff with confidence from the very beginning. However we all know a doctor is only as good as his office staff. As for the office staff I give them a zero. Had surgery was instructed to see him 1 week after surgery. Have been calling once a day for an appointment. It’s now almost 2 weeks since my surgery. I still don’t have an appointment for a follow up. All I get is you will be called back. Sit and wait.

Great surgeon. Wonderful in pre-op consult. Answered all questions patiently and thoroughly, very compassionate.

Dr Estape placed a TAC Transabdominal cerclage after I lost an infant due to the fact that I have no cervix I’m happy to report that my baby boy is now 11 months old I messengered him after my rainbow baby was born And he was super happy for me He is not only a great dr But a great man

I think Dr. Estape deserves the best recommendation. I had a surgery last Thursday with dr Estape at Kendall Regional Hospital. He did a perfect job. It was so perfect at the point that after a big surgery I haven’t take any pain killer. My recovery started immediately he finished the procedure. I have no words to thank him and the team. I highly recommend him because he also is a great human being. He explains everything clear, he spends time with his patients and he does his best for every procedure to be perfect. I’ve had 2 surgical procedures with Dr Ricardo Estape. I do believe he is a fine surgeon however, his practice is run in an utterly disgusting fashion. Both surgeries have had complications following them . Both times, Dr. Estape did not return phone calls and was not willing to see me . This past week, I thought I was bleeding to death and sent emails and phone calls to Dr Estape for 6 days without a return call . His brother ( not a Dr) is the only one available , it is shocking. Back In ER !!

My story goes way back. I was suffering with heavy periods, pain and pelvic inflammation since the very first time that I got my period. As time went by, my condition was worsening. I had had tried an obligation with another OBGY and they couldn't do it because my uterus was retroverted, according to that dr. I was already feeling hopeless until I went to Dr. Estape! He is absolutely the BEST! He tok his time and answered all my Q's. He did me a hysterectomy and I'm a HAPPY CAMPER!
