He's a life saver. When my regular doctors insisted I had a shoulder problem, he figured out it was a cervical spine problem and gave me a working shoulder with a single injection. When I had a bad problem with both spinal and peripheral nerves - he got me the shot I needed BUT he also connected me with a neurologist who saw me and did my EMG in 3 days, then Dr B connected me with the neurosurgeon I needed. He's a rock star in my book.

He and his staff are extremely pleasant and do everything they can to help you. Dr B does above and beyond to find a solution to your pain problem.

I have been going to Dr. Buenaventura periodically for several years for back, leg pain and nerve pain. After a few injections I am up and about for several months pain free! He is willing to listen and offer suggestions on how to remain pain free with added medication.

Have been going for several years. Dr B helps so much with arthritis pain in my foot. He always listens and takes care of my needs.

Dr. Buenaventura is very thorough, very intelligent, and very helpful in explaining in detail what the problems are and how to deal with them. No significant waiting. What more could one ask for?

Finally a Doctor in pain management, that listens to you and does everything to help you out. Dr. Buenaventura and his staff are very helpful and friendly. I would give more stars if they were available.

I have been seeing Dr. Buenaventura for 5 plus years, and have been completely satisfied with results. I have never had a problem with an office visit.

Dr Buenaventura is skilled and compassionate! I’ve had three steroid neck injections and they have all gone well. No complications and I am feeling great!

1/5/2018 1:40 pm .. I'm at a loss for words. I had a confirmed appointment for 1/5/2018 at 11:15 Vandalia office. I was there signed in at 11:15 am sharp. I was sitting in the waiting for 1.5 hours and no one called me up. I asked the other office girls for another doctor that were there if they could help me, they advised me Dr. Buenaventura office closed at noon, it was 12:45. really can't believe this office can confirm an appointment and leave without reviewing the check in sheet.

Prescribed Gabapentin for chronic osteoarthritis pain. This drug is for nerve pain not joint. Also sanctioned SCS which he knew, according to medical records, would not work for me.

The prescription he gave contained aspirin and I have a reaction to aspirin. I had explained this to him. When I called for something else the receptionist suggested over the counter meds. If they were working for me I would not have needed to seek pain management. she said it would take one or two days for further suggestions, never received a call back.

Nice office and staff. Dr. spent time with me and I did not feel rushed.

The doctor did NOT listen. He asked questions several times that I had already answered. He latched on to my neuropathy - when my main & major complaint is the constant hip pain. The medication he was pushing would NOT help with my bone on bone hip pain - but it would help the neuropathy. I needed medication that is stronger than the 800mg of ibuprofen that I take all day, every day to alleviate the pain until the replacement. I walked away with an anti-depressant.

Injections are very painful, he does not use enough anesthetic.

Outstanding experience. Highly skilled and knowledgeable. Very appropriate approach to treatment. Takes time to explain what is causing the issue and exactly what the treatment might be. He gives you plenty of latitude in choosing what treatments you would like to try. A very interactive approach. The office atmosphere is friendly, happy, and helpful.

This doctor has genuinely improved the quality of my life only after two visits. Hes a down to earth guy he listens and he is pleasant to deal with. Thank you Dr. Buenaventura.
