Physical medicine and rehabilitation, also referred to as rehabilitation medicine, is the medical specialty concerned with diagnosing, evaluating, and treating patients with physical disabilities. For diagnosis and evaluation, a physiatrist may include the techniques of electromyography to supplement the standard history, physical, x-ray and laboratory examinations. The physiatrist has expertise in the appropriate use of therapeutic exercise, prosthetics (artificial limbs), orthotics and mechanical and electrical devices.

Thorough, personable, caring, easy to talk to and a great diagnostician who uses effective methods to not only diagnose, but treat those symptoms that are unexplained. He returns phone calls in a very timely manner, even on weekends. I never hesitate to recommend this physician to everyone I know!

Dr. Carr is a very personable, thorough, caring, attentive, inquisitive physician who really cares about his patience. He doesn't just hand out a diagnosis, he spends a great deal of time figuring out why such a diagnosis exists and then works to alleviate the symptoms of such or eradicate the disease entirely. He personally either answers the phone or calls you back himself, which is a rarity today. I can't recommend him highly enough.
