Renaldo Andrew Jarrell

Saw him for my VES appointment. He is very condescending to Veterans. Same physician that argued diabetes causes heart attacks. I asked him how much was the VA paying him to help deny our claims.

I met Renaldo Jarrell back in July of 2017. He was the doctor completing my Veteran Affairs Compensation and Pension exam that was being completed through VES(Veteran Evaluation Services). I have never had a doctor treat me the way I was treated by this man. I have a list of medical health problems, but I was there to be seen about my service connected hip and sacroiliac joint problems. This doctor treated me like I was not worthy of his time and only brought a pencil, paper and his cell phone into my appointment. He took a call and stepped out of the room during my appointment and actually argued with me about the existence of Piriformis Syndrome. He said he had been a doctor for 25 years and had never heard of a muscle spasming being the cause of nerve pain. I had lost the paper with is name on it until today and I will be making a former complaint with both the Veteran Affairs and Veteran Evaluation Services. He raised his voice to talk over me and that is unacceptable.

Not only was Dr. Jarrell my physician, I worked beside him as a nurse in the coronary ICU and medical ICU at a hospital in Illinois. He is well respected by fellow physicians, LOVED by his patients AND...he is respected by and respects the nurses and ancillary staff. A great loss for Illinois is NC's gain. A TRUE HUMANITARIAN!!
