Dr. Ren Yu Zhang

Thank you from the bottom of my heart Dr. Ren Yu Zhang! Your passion and love for proctology is absolutely miraculous! I’m so very pleased with your work and extremely grateful for you. After 2+ years of dealing with the fistula I can finally say this chapter of my life may be behind me, God willing. Thank you for your dedication to the craft. It’s not often you find a doctor that truly cares for his patients. You were there for me every step of the way and I will continue to be an advocate for your profession and this disease. I absolutely recommend Dr. Ren Yu Zhang. He’s the best in the state of Nevada and maybe the country.

Dr Zhang is a remarkable surgeon he removed a section of my intestine robotically he came to the hospital every day to see me & provided me and my wife with his personal cell number if we had any questions or concerns after 3 nights in the hospital I was sent home with very little discomfort and was able to eat a high protein diet of regular food to help with my healing he is an amazing Doctor we are very grateful to him and would recommend him to anyone who is in need of a specialized intestinal surgeon Thank You Dr Zhang The Becks

Dr Zhang is absolutely incredible and I feel very fortunate and grateful to have been referred to him for an oversize polyp. He was very open and friendly during the initial visit where he unhurriedly took the time to get to know me and explain options. Being uncomfortable with idea of surgery, he suggested an initial non-surgical approach then provided a direct number to call him if I had any additional concerns or questions. He took his time during the procedure (almost an hour) and skillfully removed the polyp eliminating any need for surgery. I would not hesitate for a moment in recommending Dr Zhang to anyone needing his specialty. He is a fantastic doctor and surgeon who is not only very skilled and knowledgeable but exhibits a warm, friendly demeanor and who truly cares about his patients

I was referred to Dr Zhang with a very painful condition, he was very understanding of fears and my problem, Dr Zhang went over everything kindly and patiently. I after the fist visit feel very comfortable with him.

Once you get pass the front office you find the gem, Dr. Zhang. Direct yet approachable, tells you not what you want to hear but what you need to hear, but all with kindness. He is truly a magician.

Dr Zhang and the Staff are great,friendly, professional and go the extra mile. During my time with him dealing with colon isdue, I lost my Primary Dr. And he and staff helped me in any way they could till I could find a new primary. And Dr Zhang always took the time to listen to me and answer questions. His staff always friendky and quick to help. I had a 100% great patient experience. Thank you!

As a fellow physician I can state that he is highly regarded...and he was terrific for the complete evaluation and treatment of my own + Fecal Occult Blood Colon-Cancer screening test, followed by my + Colo-guard advanced screen. I am particularly high-risk for intestinal perforation due to prior surgeries and he just did a phenomenal job at my high-risk colonoscopy last week which yielded three polyps with absolutely no adverse effects at all--not even any pain or cramping. Moreover, he took the time to make a personal call to review my pathology results--which were benign. Surgeons often have a reputation for being rather cold and aloof, but Dr. Zhang is not only highly professional and knowledgeable--he is genuinely concerned and kind. There are not enough doctors like Dr. Zhang, and words cannot express how wonderful, knowledgeable and attentive he is, as well as his team! He goes above and beyond to explain your health predicament; how he will treat it, and to ease your worries. His bedside manner is equal to none! He gives out his personal cell phone number so you can check in with concerns. He gets back to you either immediately or within 1-2 hours. After my surgery, he showed up everyday at the hospital with a big smile on his face, always concerned that I was feeling comfortable and being treated properly by hospital staff; and always eased my concerns. Dr. Zhang truly is an ANGEL walking this Earth! He REALLY listens, remembers you as a person and shows genuine care and compassion. He is truthful and lays out all the risks. More doctors should take note of what he’s doing-his empathy and follow suit! Thank you Dr. Zhang for being so INCREDIBLE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLED, CARING, and COMPASSIONATE!

Dr.Zhang knows how to get through to any patient by seeing their interest and using that to explain the situation. He performed a sigmoid Cancer resection on me and saved my life. I highly recommend Dr. Zhang for his caring and professional attitude towards his patients.

Dr. Zhang is MOST caring, very honest, & extremely patient when answering questions about cancer and surgery. He shared his cell phone number which came in MOST handy when my primary doctor had a question about my surgery. Dr. Zhang's excellent surgical skills were proven when all the cancer was removed! I am almost recovered and it has been only 12 days! Dr. Zhang saved my life! He is the best, most dedicated, caring surgeon I have ever met! I consider Dr. Zhang the BEST surgeon in LV!

Skilled and experienced, Dr. Zhang is also a great communicator. He explains in terms a lay person can understand, without talking down to you. 1 week after surgery, my body is working better than it has for the last 8 months. Thank you Dr. Zhang!

Made me feel very comfortable about my surgery. Recovery was exactly what he told me to expect.

He does not listen very well. Also has no courtesy of anyone's time but his. Found him playing on the computer after waiting in the waiting area over 45 minutes.

Dr Zhang saved my life in 2011 .. had less than 48 hrs to live & trusted him to perform the surgery ! I had to have an emergency small bowel resection . He explains , listens & cares for his patients . Excellent surgeon ??

Dr. Zhang performed surgery to remove colon cancer for my father. Not only did he successfully remove the cancer, but he was able to stitch together the colon, avoiding a colostomy. Dr. Zhang is a rare surgeon, who is not only an expert in his field, but also one of the most compassionate doctors I have ever had the priviledge to know. He truly cares about his patients. He takes time to explain surgical procedures and risks in ways that the average consumer can understand. He is AMAZING!

I have been with Dr Zhang for several years. Another Dr that was supposed to be a specialist in the colon area operated on me,he took out my entire large intestines and left half of the dead colon in. He lied to me about what he was doing. So I went to Dr. Zhang and he did an awesome job of making me to be able to live like a normal person. He is so great that he even gave me his cell number and even came to see me in the hospital when I had other procedures. Out of 1 thru 10 I give a 20.
