Ren Imai

I saw Dr. Imai for a annual physical. His mood was very low energy and unhappy. His effort in my examination seemed to be rushed and not thorough at all. He was not receptive to letting me ask questions as he interrupted me several times. I have been a long time patient with Dr. Imai. He has defiantly declined over the years. His cognitive ability to communicate has gotten worse over the years. Today was the first day I felt we was not qualified to practice medicine. I am thankful it was just a physical. I would be concerned if it was a serious medical issue. I no longer have confidence that Dr. Imai can provide quality medical care. I will be looking for a new doctor for my husband and I. I would not recommend him as a new physician. If you currently see him I am sure you are aware of his poor service.

I have seen Dr Imai for over 30 years. He is an excellent diagnostician and his referrals have always been to top notch specialists. When having a video appointment, I felt Dr Imai was focused on me and my health as if we were in his office.

Rude, arrogant, poor communication skills

He is a old angry unhappy man. He was very rude and unprofessional during my appointment. His staff were kind and friendly they seem to walk on egg shells around DR Imai perhaps they are used to his rude condescending behavior. He made little to no effort examining me. Spent 2.5 minutes in the room then off to the next one. This man has obviously served in the medical community for years and in no way do I take any of that away from him. Today was a reminder that all good things come to an end. He is obviously unhappy working as a physician, he demonstrated a lack of concern or interest in my examination. Three of my family members have switched doctors because of a bad experience with Dr Imai. I will he the 4th, do you self a favor, find another doctor. There is a reason why he is the only one accepting patients at Reedley West.

My visit was The initial new patient visit. Dr. Imai listened to my concerns and gave me a good response, was very patient both listening, understanding and concern for my well-being.

I have been going to Dr Imai for over 30 years. His diagnosis has always been spot on and his referrals have all been excellent! Dr doesn’t chit-chat a lot but I would rather know I am getting the best medical advice. I have a number of medical issues and some were difficult to control but Dr Imai stuck with me until an effective treatment was found.

Called to have asthma inhaler prescription filled, 1st time they said they would call it in no problem, waited a day, called pharmacy, they said there was no prescription. Called the doctors office, and was told they didn't call it in because it was discontinued and would need an appointment. This was 6-11-2020. I have an appointment for 6-16-2020, and am having asthma difficulties now. They said they will call them in that day, 6-12-2020. I called the pharmacy again, once again, no prescription called in, 6-13-2020!!! Here i am, 1 asthma attack later, their office is closed, i have had nothing but issues with this doctors office, i will be calling multiple outlets to voice my concerns. This office is horrible to those who aren't old rich white people.

I went to see Imai because of a case of bronchitis. I know it was bronchitis because I’ve had it at least once a year for the past 25 years. I told Imai that I had bronchitis and told him my symptoms. Imai asked me if I smoke “dope”. I told him no...I got the vibe from him that he didn’t believe me. He told me that I had a cold and prescribed cough syrup. The following day I saw a different Dr. He diagnosed me with bronchitis and prescribed an antibiotic. After a day I was better.
