Dr. Reid F Schindler

I haven't seen Dr. Schindler in a few years, but he is one of the best of the best. Kind, patient, spent the time needed to explain the possibilities of treatment, prognosis, risks of surgery (which was not indicated, at that time). He followed me carefully for several years. The staff were pleasant and helpful, as well. I'd go back to him, anytime, if I could. Highly recommended.

I haven't seen Dr. Schindler in some years, but he was one of the best. Soft spoken, kind, not given to unnecessary aggressive treatment. I say he "was" one of the best, because Dr. Schindler has retired.

I was very hesitant about my macular hole surgery. I thought, my hole was not too bad to take any risk for, very unlikely,but possible side effects. it took me almost two months to make up my mind. i am glad that i did not put off the surgery any longer. The operation was done on time. and it was done perfectly. DR SCHINDLER is the best in his field!!. If you have any renta problems, try to get on Dr. Schindler schedule. You will never regret it.In addition to his outstanding skills, he is a very nice person. I was treated at Retina Specialists of Southern Arizona. I was going to a Harvard graduate doctor in Phoenix who is only interested in making money and running patients through every five minutes you will sit there for three hours. While he may be good he doesn’t inform you of anything and you are just left in the dark pathetic customer service from both the doctor and staff. I now drive to Tucson to see this physician

Took my father to Dr Schindler for his macular edema and was very pleased how he handled my father's treatment. My father was out of pocket and the price was reasonable. Dr Schindler is very knowledgeable and caring. Will definitely recommend him to others.

I don't know that I have ever been to a more calming physician. I cannot say enough good words about Dr. Schindler and how he has saved my eyesight and that of several friends.

Dr. Schindler is kind, caring, and conservative. When my visual acuity had deteriorated to about 20/45 or 20/50 due to a macular pucker (lay term), after testing and exam, he let me know it did not warrant surgery. He went through the risks of surgery, the facts about possibility of improvement through surgery (when it is warranted), and very clearly did not want to take the risks. I appreciate his conservative approach, his kindness, and his caring.
