I first met Dr. Dimwit here during my first Children's hospital stay when I was sixteen (about 6 years ago now). Some backstory, I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease at 9 years old by an independent GI, and a couple years after that moved to Children's, where they confirmed my diagnosis again. So, everything's all hunky dory, until suddenly I can't eat for a month. I drop 40 pounds. I get admitted to Children's hospital. And the worst part? My regular doctor (a lovely woman, I miss her now that I'm up to adult care) was out having surgery. So I get stuck with Dimmit. The first thing this guy does is try to tell my my Crohn's diagnosis isn't real (what??) I'm not experiencing half of the symptoms I say I am (again, what??) and he thinks I actually have IBS. No tests or reason for him to think this. Pure intuition. Keep in mind this WHOLE time my real doctor is getting me set up for Remicade infusions from her hospital bed, which is... you know, Crohn's medication? That I've been diagnosed for? TWICE?? Anyway. The whole week I was there Dimmit kept implying I was faking, just didn't want to eat, or really had IBS, and repeatedly kept trying to keep my Crohn's care team from visiting me in my hospital room. Because according to him, I didn't really have Crohn's, so I shouldn't be seeing them! The last day before they got me my infusion he started "threatening" me with a feeding tube to "scare" me into eating, which didn't really have the effect he thought it would. They'd shoved tubes in much worse places for the Crohn's diagnosis. But when I finally got my Remicade infusion, would you know? I was suddenly able to eat again! The look on his face and how quiet he was while I ate my first breakfast made up for the entire stay, and then some. He definitely does not care to listen to symptoms and read Radiology CT Scan write up. He has horrible bedside manners. I even had a 2 week time line of my son's daily pain and symptoms and did not care to look at it. If it was not for the other Dr's going against him we would have never got answers. After 5 minutes of listening to him I knew he was a horrible character and Dr. The write up showed an abnormal colon and a narrowing of the CT Scan and requested a Barium xray. He refused the Barium xray and said that everything looks normal. Next day after another Dr said let's do the Barium xray he was proven wrong. Not to mention he was only in the room for 10mins or less. Possibly because dad doesn't put up with people like him. We never saw him again during our stay, Possibly cause he was proved wrong. Looks like all the other reviews line up with mine. He has horrible mannerisms and acted like he already had a diagnosis for my son. Next day we found out that he was definitely wrong by completing a Barium xray. That he did not recommend but another Dr did. I also had a 2 week timeline of my son's day to day pain a problems. He could not even take time to look over it. He was out in 10 mins and never saw him again, while we was admitted to a room. Probably was to embarrassed to show his face, he knew that dad caught on to his arrogance within the first 5 mins. and after my son that has been is horrible pain for 2 weeks I was not having it.. Never ever use this "dr" !

This doctor is arrogant, dismissive, and has no desire to investigate issues. As mentioned in other reviews, he decided nothing was wrong with my son before even coming into the room. He listened to me talk for 5 minutes and told me that my child’s feeding refusal was sensory and had nothing to do with acid reflux. My child was clearly in pain while feeding and would wake up all night screaming and writhing in pain even when a bottle wasn’t introduced, yet somehow that was sensory. His ped prescribed him reflux medication and within days he was better but he said that was just by chance. I had to beg him to increase his dose for his current weight. He glazed over his other GI issues, Mucus in poop, rancid gas etc. he told me if “I wanted to put my son through a hospital stay with anesthesia that was my choice” but assured me nothing was wrong with my child and everything would come back normal. I have never had a worse experience with a doctor. Would NEVER recommend

Please, dont entrust your care to this doctor. He is extremely arrogant and dismissive, completely disregarding any and all concern from his patients. Look elsewhere for your GI care, especially for conditions like Eosinophilic Esophagitis.

He does not listen. Very arrogant . Has never found the root cause of issues after months of visits and hospitalizations. He listed in hospital records projectile vomiting (2 foot wide) as spit up.

He came in the room having already deciding that there was nothing wrong with my daughter. He drew pictures on the table paper and explained IBS and its symptoms which did NOT align with my daughter. I had to demand testing and his response was "well, if you want to put her through that." I had to advocate for her because he had zero interest in finding out what was wrong. She was found to be lactose intolerant and later also diagnosed with endometriosis!! Thank God I didnt listen to him!

He had decided my child's diagnosis before doing endoscopy- and he was wrong. He was dismissive of her symptoms and the seriousness. Had a resident call to correct his diagnosis after biopsies came back. They needed to see her again to put her on medication for Crohn's. Arrogant doesn't even begin to describe him!
