Dr. Rebekah Anne Smith

Dr. Smith is AMAZING! I had been going to the same eye doctor for 20 years and found out this year she no linger takes my insurance. I went to see Dr. Smith because of her reviews. Everyone is right! I am beyond happy to have her as my doctor. If you are looking for an optometrist, I recommend Dr. Smith. You will not regret your decision.

If "bedside manner" applied to an optometrist, hers would be perfect. She explained what she was doing and how the instruments worked while she examined and tested my eyes. I appreciated her attention to detail and patience.

Wish there were more than five stars available! They got me in for an appt next day. Dr. Smith was just terrific! Pricing was very reasonable. I absolutely recommend Island Optics!

Wish I had found Dr. Rebeka sooner. I went to her last week and my husband went about a month ago. After spending over $1,000 on glasses in the last 4 years, she was the first doctor who prescribed glasses he had no problem with. Dr. Veneziano was extremely accommodating and professional. I had debris lodged in my eye (under my eyelid) and Dr. Veneziano was gracious enough to see me on very short notice. She removed the debris quickly and confidently. I’m very thankful for her care! Additionally, the exam room was very clean as she and her assistant used appropriate PPE and cleaning techniques. Dr. Rebekah was fantastic! She was knowledgable, thorough and kind. I went to see her with some eye discomfort thinking I may need glasses for the first time in my life. Rather than sell me glasses I didn't need, she acted with the utmost integrity and explained that I did well on my vision tests and didn't need a prescription at this time. My wife and I had the pleasure of being taken care of by Dr. Rebekah and her team. We were looking to work with a local optometry office who was small enough to know us by name, but experienced enough to take care of our needs. Dr. Rebekah far exceeded our expectations! Her shop in Madeira Beach is fun, clean, and inviting. She has a wide array of frames to choose from. Now we are the proud owners of some very nice prescription sun glasses, and couldn't be happier. I was extremely impressed with Island Optics. The staff was friendly and the office was super clean. It was the first time I had a fully automated exam with the latest high tech equipment. It must be more accurate because when I received my glasses there was no period of adjustment. They were comfortable from the start. Also, the selection of petite frames was wonderful. I found a frame large enough to allow me to have correction for reading and still wear my glasses for computer work. They're transition lenses so I feel protected from the blue light of my computer screen. I get a lot of compliments on my new glasses. I highly recommend Dr. Rebekah at Island Optics. Fantastic owner!!

I used to see Dr. Veneziano at another location and when she told me she was opening her own, I didn't stop until we found her. By far the very best. I am so happy to have my eyes back under her care.

The excellent service I received was much appreciated as I needed my glasses fixed due to an accident. As a non-local, it was wonderful to happen upon a business that provides superb customer care with business professionalism. Thank you Dr. Veneziano and Courtnee.

Dr. Rebecca was able to see my husband on an emergency basis during the pandemic. She was able to diagnose and treat his problem quickly and we are so very thankful! She and her staff are courteous and professional!

Dr. V is fabulous! My mom was having issues with her glasses and Dr. V was able to get them corrected for her in about 10 mins! Honestly the best 35 minute drive EVER! Cant tell you how much I appreciate your taking care of my mom! Thank you!

I'm so glad I found island optics! It's definitely the cutest eye store/doctors office I've ever seen. It's conveniently located on the island. And Dr. Veneziano is my favorite eye doctor I've ever seen - and I've seen dozens with my problem eyes lol. Prompt and courteous. Thorough exam. Clear explanations as Dr. V worked. Assistant Courtney was helpful in finding the right frames and explaining my insurance vs. my out-of-pocket. A positive experience. I plan on returning.
