Dr. Rebecca M. Wiegers

I have had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Wiegers a couple times. She demonstrated more patience with my speech issues and inability to stay on task than any other professional ive been evaluated by, and ive been to a lot of them. Her report was thorough and revealed problems that i wasn't aware of prior but have been decreasing my quality of life. Now that ive been made aware of these problems, and have them documented by a highly trained and experienced professional, i can access the professional help i need to address them. Im grateful for all of the time and effort she invested into me, and will use her evaluation to improve my quality of life and lower levels of depression and frustration associated with declining cognitive function and memory secondary to development of neurological condition(s). I would recommend everyone see her that wants to understand, address, and improve their neurological functioning.

Sadly, I would have to agree with the other very low reviews. As a clinician, who by definition should listen intently to the needs of her patients, she ranted and shifted the spotlight to herself about things “as a scientist” that bordered on stigma-laden conspiracy theories. I left feeling sorry for her on what may once have been a promising career. Even if her theories were right, which I could have easily countered with facts - and for the sake of time I did not, it detracted from the conversation which was, by the nature of the appointment, to center on ME the patient.

I visited Dr. Wiegers for a neuro psych evaluation. I believe she was on top of her game at one point. However, she spent my whole appointment talking about how fracking causes ADD and brain fog. She said things like “druggies are the worst and quitters and should get jobs.” For the record, I have never had a drug problem but she also never asked. She said “asian people come to me for ADD meds and they just want their children drugged up and I say no.” It was extremely inappropriate. There was more about radon in food that she went on about. I would not recommend her.

Awful experience. I was referred to her for assessment of ADD post concussion. During my 2 hour appointment maybe 30 minutes were spent on me, the patient! She never stopped talking extremely fast, ranted on and on from the time I walked in until I left about the weirdest subjects. I learned all about her... she is a strong feminist who hates most men, is very racist, very opinionated, & buys into multiple conspiracy theories. I found her behavior extremely confusing, offensive at times and very unprofessional and almost walked out. Not sure why I didn’t. I won’t be returning and suggest you don’t go through what I did. I left there with a horrible headache.

If you don't actually need any sort of psych treatment or evaluation and just want insurance to pay someone to LARP as a therapist while interjecting conspiracy theories into moments of silence, then Rebecca Wiegers still isn't the doctor for you. She eagerly rattles off the conspiratorial bits by rote with no expectation of a discussion or challenge on the topics. She has an agenda but isn't structured enough to lay clear exactly what it is. She's lucid enough at least to relay that she's caucasian and a radfem. It wasn't until I went to another doctor that I realized her mind games aren't actually a part of therapy. I also learned then that she has a reputation among mental health practitioners for this. 'Who did you see?' 'Uhh Dr. Rebecca Wuh-' 'Wiegers?' 'Yeah.' Flippant, unprofessional, waste of time at best. She'll take your calls on her cell while she's out in public. She's easy to schedule with for a reason. If you decide to go to her, do not let her keep a copy of your insurance card.

Dr. Rebecca Wiegers is focused on sincerely helping her patients, always providing support, guidance, and strategies that are applicable in a real world setting. She is authentic in every way, which leads to progress. Dr. Wiegers has the unique knowledge, skills, and compassion to help patients face difficult times in their lives. I commend Dr. Wiegers for being a 'gem' in a landscape of doctors who are not always what they appear to be. I highly recommend Dr. Wiegers to anybody looking for authenticity, and somebody who will always put the patient first.

Dr. Rebecca Wiegers is a top-notch doctor who puts her patients first, above everything else. Dr. Wiegers is authentic, and she is truly there to help her patients in a world where that is difficult, if not impossible to find. I cannot say enough about how Dr. Wiegers has helped me to navigate the most difficult time of my life. The combination of her advanced skills, expansive knowledge, compassion, and unwavering support is something that is to be commended. I highly recommend Dr. Wiegers.

She's smart, easy to schedule with, and an advocate for brain injury, but she dragged ADD testing out over three visits, then asked me to come back again just to explain results. Constantly Interjected with irrelevant tangents during testing, confused test instructions, and ranted inappropriately about political, world views, and conspiracies. I essentially left not trusting the results and went to another doctor.

She is a lovely woman and I would highly recommend her to anyone, but ESPECIALLY females. She is an old-school feminist. She has some personal (not medical) opinions that I disagree with, however who doesn't? And SHE does not shove them down your throat like most would. I love talking to her and would consider her a friend outside of the professional setting. Her office is very laid back and comfortable and she is super quirky in a really good way. Overall, she is an absolutely delightful woman!

She truly cares. I felt as though she has known her own share of pain, and is a very strong, resilient person, that relates to me. I feel stronger as a person, since talking to her. My anxiety and depression has lifted....... I see my life in a new, improved way.

She's the most educated, intelligent woman I've ever met and she actually cares enough to listen.
