I was so fortunate to find and be treated by Dr. Raymond Shaheen of Shaheen Vascular in Mountain View, CA. I was visiting family from out of state when I developed severe pain and inflammation in my lower leg which continued to worsen. Dr. Shaheen was able to provide a diagnosis and treatment plan. The treatment plan was personally tailored to my situation and not a “one-size fits all” approach to vein intervention. In addition to mitigating vein insufficiency, Dr. Shaheen was able to treat an area of one leg which remained painful 4 years following a clot in a varicose vein. The treatment provided relief that I didn’t imagine could be possible. Dr. Shaheen’s years of experience and numerous Board Certifications provided an extra measure of confidence in trusting my care to Shaheen Vascular. I recently visited Dr. Shaheen for vein/spider vein removal. I must say I am very pleased with the results. Dr. Shaheen and his staff made me very comfortable, explained the procedure thoroughly and the outcome better than expected. Thank you Dr. Shaheen!

Dr.Shaheen is an expert in treating complicated varicose veins.He has treated my mother’s varicose veins throughout the years (15 years) and I have seen great improvements. Under Dr.Shaheen’s care, my mother feels safe and confident knowing that her varicose veins will always be treated before complications, pain and suffering arise. I visited Dr. Shaheen in 2019 for varicose vein treatment. Ultrasound was done, however I didn't go ahead with the procedure because I found Dr. Shaheen to be a bit sales pitchy in terms of what I need to purchase from them and not really explaining the procedure. I ended up buying a pair of compression socks from them. I went back again in 2021 because my veins were becoming relatively worse, and because I thought it'd be more convenient because they had my record. I was told that I needed to re-do the ultrasound because of the time gap, and I accepted. After the ultrasound Dr. Shaheen visits you for about half hour, there was another person in the room typing everything that was talked about which I found odd. During the half hour visit Dr. Shaheen spent 15 minutes explaining the affect of this herbal pill called Vasculera TAB pill that he recommended me to take before the procedure, he said they would cost around $100 for 90 pills, and some lotion for $20 and that someone will call me about them in a few days. I scheduled my surgery for the coming month with the office. Few days after I get a call from this online pharmacy (can't remember the name now) and someone told me that I don't need to pay anything because my insurance pays for the pills. I never intended to buy these pills but I accepted since they said it would cost me $0. I got a box with the 3 bottles (90 pills) in a few days from a random Pharmacy down in Santa fe springs in California. And there was a bill statement for $6,900.69 Copay: $4,614.23. I immediately called and told them I don't need these pills and I'm sending them back and I was told I can't return, but I don't have to worry because I don't need to pay for them and I was qualified to get these for free! I called the pharmacy two other times asking that I was concerned with the cost and I want to return the pills. Meanwhile I called my insurance company and they told me that they don't have any record of this charge. To this day, I don't know what really happened with the charges or who paid for them but this whole process seems very sketchy. I ended up cancelling my surgery with Dr. Shaheen because I can't really trust him after what happened. I called his office several times regarding the cost of the pills but never got a response back. If you ever find yourself in Dr. Shaheen's office, you'll see what I mean, all the posters in his office are basically an advertisement for this pill. I can't give enough positive feedback about my experience with Dr. Shaheen! I recently underwent RFA treatment on my legs for vascular insufficiency. I found Dr. Shaheen when I was searching for vascular surgeons in Mountain View who were part of my Blue Shield PPO. Dr. Shaheen was extremely educational and knowledgeable. He examined me and explain several different options. I decided to proceed with the RFA treatment, which was done in-office. The procedure was minimally invasive and I drove home. Fast forward to the followup visit a week later and my results were nothing short of spectacular! My fluid retention is almost nil and I am now pain free in my right ankle. I had been putting off a vascular consult for over 5 years and I now wish I had seen Dr. Shaheen sooner. If you need a vascular surgeon, I highly recommend Dr. Shaheen. Dr. Raymond Shaheen was treating my mother for her severe non-healing vein rapture. When needed, he came to the office on Saturdays and Sundays to see my mom and make sure she is healing properly. Had Vnus procedure done by him back in 2009-2010 & must say this doc is definitely NOT someone I recommend to anyone! His methods & process border on quackery as far I'm concerned. He messed-up my veins so badly that I've had MORE vein complications post Vnus. Turns out, a thorough ultasound BEFORE he tried Vnus closure would have informed him that my veins (which are ladder veins) made me a very poor candidate for Vnus & in fact, he created significant problems for me in my vein structure!
