After waiting 3 months for a consultation, had surgery scheduled for 2 more months after. A month before my surgery I get a call that surgery was canceled. No explanation, no referral to other doctors, nothing. Horrible
Dr. Leveillee is a great doctor, his front office staff on the other hand is the WORST. I had a Foley catheter inserted last night at the Bethesda Emergency room and upon discharge was told to follow up today with Dr. Leveille, which I am a past patient of. Upon arriving this morning I was told the next available appointment was at the end of January. When I showed the girl the discharge instructions stating to follow up with the doctor this morning she said the hospital does not tell them how to run their office even though the doctor has a contract with Bethesda. I wish he could find better front office personnel. I remember them being rude on my past appointments. I’m in the process of finding a new urologist.
Staff is friendly, actively listens, and doctor is very down to earth and thorough.
Discussing first visit waited three hours and had to leave before seeing him. Second visit the same thing. Evidently he cannot combine his surgery and office visits his staff no help
Best doctor ever!!!
The best experience and outcome for a laparoscopic partially dismembered pyeloplasty 15 years ago, by Dr. Leveillee. Very caring man who works very long hours. I waited almost six months for my procedure, with a very irritating stent from my kidney to bladder, BUT IT WAS WORTH WAITING for his less invasive surgery!
Dr. Leveillee is amazing and if it weren’t for his staff (particularly Stephanie) I would continue to go to him. They are rude and condescending. They shut you down before you even begin to speak. I had surgery on the 25th of August and was supposed to have someone from the office call me to schedule my stitches to be removed. After not hearing from anyone in over a week, I called and asked if I could make an appointment. Unbeknownst to me, they had already made an appointment for me but forgot to call and let me know. I explained to her that I was not able to make the appt they made for me because of an appt I had for my child which took me 8 months to get. She couldn’t be bothered with me and responded, “ok, next available is on September 23rd. We’ll see you then!” Ummm, lady, are you kidding me? I have stitches that I’ve been walking around with for way too long and need to be removed. “Sorry, you had an appointment and are failing to meet that time!” I am beside myself and have cried for 3 days now looking for someone who can remove my stitches. Best doctor around. He takes his time to explain everything to you. Unbelievable surgeon top notch
Let me start by saying when I called the office to make an appt, the receptionist was rude, and it was a bother to her to have to schedule. Appt made for 1 month in advance. Day of appt: Arrived 20 mins early in case paperwork is needed to be filled out. Wasn't told until 1 hour after my appt time that Dr. Leveilee was running 3 hours behind! Office staff had no regard for my husband's time as he had to take time off work, and giggled as they told him he would be waiting 3 hrs! Asked for Office Mgr and she was nothing but sassy with a smirk on her face saying, "That's what it is". This is how we run the office. He did make a fuss and was brought into the Dr's office and scolded by Dr Leveilee that this is the way he runs his practice and if you can't handle it you need to find a new Dr. How unprofessional is he? Stay away, READ ALL REVIEWS-it's not just me that is upset- no bedside manner, rude with patients and so is the staff. All patients deserve a compassionate Dr- and he is not!
Horrible service from Front Desk to Office Manager. Wait times are over 3 hours and they don't advise you of that when you walk in! Waited over an hour before they informed me of the 3hr wait. Quick to take co-pay! Dr Leveillee was rude, condesending and VERY unprofessional. This office has not one ounce of compassion for sick patients, and I will never return.
Absolute nightmare waited in the office 1st time for an hour and a half without any explanation why the wait I have a daughter at home that's handcapped and I can't afford to wait hours before I see the doctor .I re-booked again waited an hour and 40 minutes was put into a room and assistant said he'll be another 40 minutes before he was able see me,,, it would have been well over two hours to see him, 2 other people ahead of me I told the receptionist at the desk that I had to go that I cannot wait any longer because of my daughter being home alone and she said it's always at least a 2 hours wait and I asked why don't you tell your patients when they call when they make an appointment I know why because they wouldn't have any patients , how dare he do that and abuse patients that way out of greed each time I could not stay any longer over 2 hours,,,ir is terribly unfair and in the waiting room a woman was coughing terribly they didn't even send her out during covid,,,,
Great bedside manner explains your health thoroughly staff is very efficient
I went to Dr Leveillee for over six months in that time he preformed unnecessary procedures on me and misdiagnosed me !!! The office staff are rude and blast inappropriate music while his patients have to wait for HOURS . I personally have waited anywhere from a minimum of 3 hours to the most I had to wait was 6 hours!!! Dr Leveillee was also very rude and when I complained about the wait time he told me that his time is very valuable !

Dr. Leveille is an outstanding surgeon, but remember, he is NOT a cancer specialist. If you are diagnosed with cancer, go to an oncologist before you let Dr.Leveille treat you. We spent too much time with Dr. Leveille and he does not have enough experience in cancer of the urologic area. After losing 6 plus months of precious time, we went to a cancer center where they quickly diagnosed and successfully treated my husband's ureter cancer.
He is a great doctor BUT needs to practice some time management. Haven't had one single visit where I was not waiting over 30 min. Some times 1- 1 1/2 hour.
Great physician. He gives you all the time you need. Highly recommended
This guy was amazing. He remove a very large mass along with my kidney and he was perfect. He was nice accommodating and well versed in his craft. Thank you for a great job. I am going to reunite with him hopefully to be my urologist as well as surgeon.
Dr. Leveillee is a wonderful and kind physician who performed two surgeries on me. His skill as a robotic surgeon is unsurpassed. He is easy to talk with and takes time to explain his work. He has taught, lectured and written extensively in his field. I am so fortunate to have him in our area and I owe my life to him and his skill as an excellent surgeon.
Absolutely PHENOMENAL!! Dr. Leveillee is extremely knowledgeable. He has THE BEST "bedside manners" and treats you as if you are his only patient ever. Yet, he is very busy but NEVER shows it. He covers all items clearly in laymen's terms. Dr. L., encourages questions, and never rushes you. I LOVE this guy!! His PA (Debbie) is an excellent example of the "apple not falling far from the tree". I can't say enough about them and the entire experience. It is clear you are #1
All I can say is he saved my life 10 years ago. I would travel anywhere as long as I cN keep him as my urologist. He has a fantastic personality, puts his patient first and foremost. Thank you dr. Leveillee for taking such good care of me.

back in 2014, after a CT scan at a local ER to confirm kidney stones in the right kidney also revealed a malignant tumor the size of a tennis ball in the left kidney, dr. leveillee performed a radical left nephrectomy (removal of the left kidney). two weeks and two days later, i was back at work. that was waaaaay too soon, of course, but i had to get back to my students. still, that i was able to do that should confirm that dr. leveille is a miracle-worker!
Dr. Leveillee is an excellent neurologist. he is through and personable. he explains everything and he shows you the films. I am so glad that i have met him and he put my mind to rest about a kidney problem.

This physician left country for a meeting day after he operated on my father leaving him in the icu. Unprofessional, terrible doctor, no bedside Manor. Left us with an incompetent p.a. that had her head unattached. I wouldn't recommended him to my worst enemy
Dr. Leveillee is excellent. He has taken great care of my father. Dr. Leveillee answers all our questions and made a difficult time much better.
On my initial visit with Dr. Leveillee I found him to be easy to talk to, informative in easy to understand terms and very gentle. He gave me all the time I needed and explained his recommendations for treatment while putting my mind at ease. When I returned for a biopsy I could not believe how gentle he was; giving me a local and explaining the procedure step by step, making it relatively painless. His staff is pleasant, efficient and accommodating. I have recommended him to 2 people.

Dr. Leveillee has a wonderful bedside manner and I never feel rushed during my office visit! He explained the results of my tests and offered a treatment plan in a very clear and understandable fashion. He has that rare ability to exude confidence without coming across as being arrogant. His experience and expertise (and his colleagues) actually do the speaking for him. For any urology concerns I highly recommend Dr. Leveillee.
Dr Leveillee diagnosed and removed cancer from both of my kidneys. That's impressive but what's really amazing is that he is always kind, explains things clearly, does a fantastic job,and truly cares about his patients. I have had many Drs and surgeons in my life and Dr Leveillee is #1
