Receptionist and appointment scheduler was exceptionally rude on the phone. Been a patient for a decade and never been treated so poorly over the phone before.

I wish I could say better but he left me down not know why I have so much pain. He just told to go to pain clinic. He also told me to lose weight and exercise Which I felt I just wasted my money

Not great. Dismissed me.. my spine has collapsed. Now I am going to Hopkins for help.

It seemed he was not taking me seriously. I’m In pain and he dismissed it like I didn’t know what I was talking about! I’ve seen him twice and both times were a let down!

When I arrived I was called up to the receiving desk as a “Ma’am”. I’m not a woman. As I approached and gave the info requested I was quickly handed a clipboard and a tablet and asked to produce cash almost all simultaneously; for someone in back pain that was extremely awkward and uncomfortable. I filled all the information in and returned the clipboard and tablet. I was called back by a nurse and I gave her X-rays and a little info. Then in a fairly short time the Dr. came in to see me. We spoke briefly and I didn’t feel as though my concerns were discussed or that I had learned much about my condition. The Dr. says it isn’t easy to see the discs in the X-rays but it isn’t that bad. Yet I have extreme pain and discomfort and other related symptoms/issues that weren’t addressed. Why did I put all that information in if he’s not even going to look at it or address it? It made me feel less confident in his words and that since my situation wasn’t leading to an expensive surgery then the level of interest diminished. I don’t have health insurance and $250 is a lot for me. I gave him X-rays and $250 and he gave me 5 minutes and left. He told me to take a prescription that I didn’t even have and then didn’t write me one. He told me to strengthen my back and do exercises and didn’t provide me with any. I had to call the office back and take time from their busy day so I could figure out why I was told to take a prescription I don’t have and should I have one or not. The next day I was told I could pick up a prescription. I appreciate the office staff for doing their part to be helpful when all that could have been avoided had Dr. Kirchmier been paying just a little bit more attention to detail. What other details could he have missed while he so quickly scanned the X-rays I provided? These things matter in the eyes and minds of the customers. A family member went to this healthcare provider for physiotherapy. The experience was okay but in their opinion, more attention could have been paid to their individual needs.

I was in total agony but Dr. Kirshmeyer’s office got me in immediately and was so understanding and efficient.

It was a negative experience overall. I was in severe pain and all he prescribed was a steroid which I had already done a month prior without success.

I have seen Dr. Kirchmeir several times since 2006. He has always been very attentive and never seemed to be in a rush. He is a very caring and skilled doctor!

My visit yesterday with P. A. Scott Krushinski was a comprehensive evaluation of a serious and painful back issue. He was professional, explained my problem in detail and provided treatment options. He anticipated my questions, and I felt I received all information necessary to move forward with improving. Top grade for this P. A. and the office in general.

Doctor looked at my labs and was able to explain what my problem was and provide what options were available to deal with the pain I was experiencing. The cortisone shot totally relieved me of all pain for now. I had been dealing with it for 3 months. If the pain returns months later I will definitely revisit them again. Great service and appointment time was when they called me back and I was out in less than 30 minutes. Dr. Kirchmier has been my physician for many years. Both he and his staff are exceptionally progressional and kind. These things mean a great deal when you are isolated.

I asked Dr Kirchmier to fill out an Unemployment questionnaire. After four days I finally am told that he will not fill it out because I haven't seen him for a year and he didn't tell me to retire. I had no choice but to retire because I couldn't do my job anymore and was in pain everyday. I tried explaining to Laurie his assistant that yes I know I haven't seen him in a year but the last time I saw him he said that surgery would not help; wrote a note to my employer I was not to lift over 10-15 lbs, signed for a permanent disabled placard. I went to physical therapy, tens units, chiropractor and numerous injections - all what he told me to do. And he won't complete a questionnaire for me. It was easy to get an appointment as a new patient, the office is close and easy to get to.

The doctor took his time to listen to my history of this specific pain. He explained everything thoroughly and professionally. Dr Kirchmier and staff are the best. The wait time was short and the staff was very helpful. Dr K is very thorough he takes the time to listen to your issues and concerns. He speaks in clear concise language and his approach and recommendations are very reasonable and well thought out.

Consultation for possible back surgery. Dr Kirchmier was very thorough in my exam and reviewing my tests and xrays. He exclaimed things in clear and concise terms. He was professional, kind and understanding. I appreciated his frankness.

Dr. Kirchmier took the time to carefully explain my test results and to address all of my questions and concerns. He speaks in a way that is calming and reassuring.

I saw Dr K yesterday for a frozen shoulder. He was a good listener - excellent bed side manner and gave a painless cortisone injection. He always got me in with PT for later this week. Would give 10 stars if I could.

I was seen timely and, in my opinion, diagnosed accurately. Dr. K was friendly and willing to explain and answer my questions to my satisfaction.

Dr. K. is attentivevandcresponsive. He fully engages with his patients. I appreciate his thorough explanations and the opportunity to talk through treatment plan options.

Every one was very nice. I really liked Dr Kishmire. He was great and explained everything so that I could understand my problem. I would see him again if I had a another problem with my back.

There is no better spine specialist, bar none. The man is amazing. Twice he has offered me the correct diagnosis as I merely walked into his room. One included what turned out to be an “acute fracture of T-12.” Moreover, because of the MRI he scheduled to confirm, an alert Radiologist discovered early signs of Lymphoma cancer, and the earlier the better, as they say. He was thorough and asked a lot of questions in regards to my condition. Also, told me what was going on, didn't give me false hope and explained what my options were.

Very patient very good explains everything and is good at his job just went through surgery everything is good so far I would recommend him to anybody

It is impossible to get a hold of anyone on the phone after your initial appointment. If you want to waste your own time this is the place to go

Dr. Kirchmier is great - knowledgeable, compassionate, and articulate. I understood everything he told me about the herniated disc in my neck and the attendant pain in my shoulder and arm. His staff is great, too! Very convenient locations and hours. I highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Kirchmier is my kind of doctor - conservative in his approach, a good listener, and very knowledgeable. I think he is a fantastic doctor, and would recommend him to anyone.

It was short, however the Dr didn’t seem very compassionate to how much pain I was in. However he did give me pain medication. It’s just that he acted like my compression fracture was nothing. It was debilitating to me. I’m not complaining, he seems to be a good Dr., just not a great bedside manner.

Been to his practice for a year. Numerous shots and no improvement. All my discs are deteriorating and major arthritis. He asked me what I wanted him to do. Really! Who’s the doctor? Said there is nothing to help me. I think my age if 65 does have something to do with it. He asked if I tried PT. Look at my records and he would see I haven’t. Said I could try that for two months and if that doesn’t help, he doesn’t know what else to do. Thanks for nothing!

I had intense shoulder pain due to a herniated disc in my neck. The pain was completely gone when I woke from surgery. Dr. Kirchmier and his entire staff have been fantastic throughout the whole process.

Dr. Kirchmier did surgery on my lower back to resolve 4 major problems which is more complicated than allot of surgeries. I feel that his skills are top notch as I went from being in pain every day for 14 months to feeling 90% better one week after the surgery. I still have 3 plus months of healing but I already feel better than I have in a long time. I feel like I have been given my life back as it was depressing and so difficult being in severe pain 24-7. Dr Kirchmier, and his staff P.A., Joe Gowaty, the nurses, x ray tech and all of the staff are professional, compassionate and thorough. Dr Kirchmeir stands out in my opinion as a doctor that is not rushed making me feel confident in his recommendations. He gives well thought through recommendations that are conservative so surgery will not be needed for as long as possible. His prognosis on what to expect if I follow his recommendations turns out to be quite accurate. If I did my back exercises to support my spine better I could go back to driving without pain. That's what happened - no surgery required.

Dr. Kirchmier is knowledgeable, understanding and conservative in treatment, meaning that surgery is the last resort if other options (PT, epidurals, etc.) are available. He also takes time to listen and answer questions and concerns. He is not rushed as some doctors are these days.

Dr Kirchmier is professional, caring and very competent. I never felt rushed, he was always very patient and answered all of my questions. He did not rush to suggest surgery. I tried all conservative measures first. When it was clear that I needed surgery-again, all questions answered. Cervical spine surgery went extremely well, I knew what to expect, and post op care is equally as good

He was not eager to operate even though I desperately needed a fusion. No pressure . It has improved the quality of my live immensely .

Dr. Kirchmier explained in detail the schedule back surgery I wall have on 25 Jan...he answered all of my questions, told me of the possible risks and likelihood of future prognosis. I did not feel hurried in any way and really felt comforted by his nurse. I have heard from others that Dr. Kirchmier's reputation is excellent as a surgeon.
