Don't know about the doctor but the staff socks, they don't start answering phones untill 8:30 not 8 and they are no help at all

Do yourself a big favor and find a different orthopedic surgeon. My 73 yr old spouse (who has MS) had a nasty fall on Christmas Day and broke her left clavicle. Had to call an ambulance since she was in pain and needed help to get up. After x-rays showed it to be completely broken in two, uneven pieces, the ER doc told her she would need surgery the next morning. We had no choice of a surgeon. She got this guy by “luck of the draw.” Only she wasn’t lucky. If you want a physician who loves to talk about himself and his upcoming retirement, you won’t be disappointed. If you want a physician you will never see after your surgery, you won’t be disappointed. When my spouse was in horrible pain, none of the nurses could get hold of him for an order. So, my spouse had to lie there in her hospital bed and suffer terribly for several hours. (The nerve block she was given right before surgery simply failed to prevent pain.) She, who never ever cries, was in tears and could hardly form words, her pain was so bad. She didn’t see Dr. Fulp after the surgery. She didn’t see him ever again. I will say that the PA (or NP, I can’t recall his license) that she saw was professional, polite and competent. He is the reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1. Front desk people ranked from indifferent to just plain rude. Sometimes made you feel like you were intruding on their time. In my career, I used to give customer service training to medical staff for various clinics and hospitals. If I were grading this clinic, they’d get a D-. (Javier gets an A.) The whole lot of them need some serious customer service training.

Good Dr, Bad Follow ups, bad office, run around for med's and supplies by Connie or Lupita. Do not inform patient about care and remedies. Suffering patient with pain. Told to call back 4 times with no results. ????????

Dr Fulp has performed a hip replacement, and both knee replacement. Even the nurses at the hospital said that Dr. Fulp's patients tend to walk earlier than do patients from other doctors. Great doctors, great team.

Dr. Fulp recently operated on my left ankle for a major fracture. He did an excellent job. The minute I came out from under the anesthesia I could tell he had fixed it. I felt so much better. He has a very low key personality. His staff is very nice. I am very happy with the service. My surgery was done at Rio Grande Valley Memorial Hospital…top notch. Highly recommend.

DR. FULP saved my life, fifteen out of fifteen doctors denied my surgery ("she'll never make it through the night much less the surgery "), but in my case Dr. Fulp went against the odds because he new he would not only save me but survive. Shortly after the surgery I was paralyzed from the neck down. I went into his office and he ask me what can I move I wiggled my toe ("we gotta a Walker") he said from then on I've never stopped trying and I thank god, for sending a person so inspiring not only to save me but but never let me give up on myself. Oct 31, 2015, DrFulp performed a complete knee replacement that became a massive blood clot on the way back from recovery. It then became a drop foot and terrible infection from the surgery room. After 7 years I just had to have my leg amputated Nov 3, 2021. The infection in the metal knee would not go away and finally the,bone,snapped completely off when I twisted my leg fishing. Intense pain from a botched procedure for 7 years and then lose my leg. Thanks, Trey Fulp.

I live in Canada and was unable to get to Texas because of the Covid 19 having the borders closed. He went above and beyond to help us. I can not say enough good things about this kind man. I would highly recommend Doctor Fulp, and his PA-C Javier Barbosa. You will be in excellent hands, and very well cared for.

all the ladies who work there think we are animals if we go to dr Ray is because we need a service, and I pay for his service, is not a free consultation, they charge $250 for bad service! , this is a really poor office employee, very rude and phone calls is worst, waiting time more than 20 min and then hang up.

I would not recommend Dr. Fulp, left me in pain after two surgeries, and when I went back to tell him that I was in pain, he acted as if I had offended him. it's now been two years since he operated on me and HE DOES NOT CARE IF you are IN PAIN. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR

Dr. Raymond Fulp operated on my neck and my shoulder and left me in a great deal of pain. His office kept trying to make me see a nurse practitioner after my surgery. I finally got in a year after the surgery and let him know That I was in pain and started acting like he was offended about the fact that I was complaining about his work. This Doctor and place is a joke and clearly about the money and not your best interest. I haven’t been able to move my neck properly since my accident in October. They finally figure out what it is and tell me what I need done and then never set up an appointment. I have been waiting TWO MONTHS for an appointment for injections and 5 months for physical therapy. I have been When you do get an appointment , it takes every bit of 2 or 3 hours waiting for MAYBE 5 Min visit with the Dr. Every single Receptionist, assistance, nurse and etc needs to be replaced. I have been calling for over a month and they have not return one call. This is by far the worst Doctor office I’ve ever had to deal with in my life. Dr. Raymond Fulp, who is actually from the Rio Grande Valley. Comes to San Antonio on Fridays and takes appointments, makes you wait for about an hour, then does not care about what kind of pain you are in. Conducts what he considers to be a review, tries to turn a buck, by saying, yeah I did this surgery on my wife and daughter. Then when you finally can get back in to see him, becomes offended when you tell him you are in pain from the surgery he has done on you and looks for anything to turn around and get upset and make a spectacle of himself, to get out of the damage he has caused. Go Back To The Valley and stay there. Don't come back over here.

I was referred to Dr. Fulp and I have received "Exceptional Care" from the entire staff. They took to the time to listen and educate me regarding my injury. Dealing with workers comp is stressful but his staff made me feel like a 'Patient' instead of a 'claim number'. I wish he could open an office in Houston, Tx so I could continue my treatment. It’s been months and they’ve been promising to make appointments that has not been made. When they do make appointments nothing is done. I’m literally back there for two minutes after having to wait an hours. I been dealing with this since Oct 2019 it is now mid February 2020 and absolutely nothing has been done. The assistant is just as bad as the doctor.

I tried to tell him how bad my shoulder hurt. He had me out of the exam room in 3 minutes. Shoulder surgery. He said walk your finger up the wall. I said I could do that before surgery. My shoulder is a lot worse since surgery. He obviously doesn't care. I left his office and before I got home he referred me to work hardening. Slow down there Ray Fulp lll. We're getting a second opinion and another mri. I was supposed to have ortho but I have a 4" scar. He said the pump was down on the scope. I saw a few other patients that had same surgery. Same scar. Unbelievable!

Happy that I came to Texas and seen all of the doctors that really helped me get back to good health . Thank you very much

2 hour wait time for a scheduled appointment, for a 10 minute consultation with the PA at the Brownsville office. I expected to at least have an initial consultation with Dr. Fulp.

They take forever, I came for my mri with my appointment being at 9:45 its been almost 2hours and i still have not gotten my Mri results, the lady at the front desk always has a face, they, and dr takes forver just to tell you that everythings good. Nmms

From the last 3.5yrs I've always had the WORST customer service experience from Connie and her sister that are seated in the front reception area. I had scheduled an appointment with a helpful staff member but called back to confirm. When I tried to confirm Connie went on a tangent about how I had missed and rescheduled an appointment 2yrs prior then blatantly refused to give my the date for my newly scheduled appointment. I had back surgery in January 2018 and Dr. Fulp did a fantastic job. Pain free for the first time in 30 years

I've had back pain for 10+ years. No dr. Would touch my back. Consultations and injections, therapy, neurosurgeons and NOTHING! Dr. Fulp operated and my back is like new!

Dr. Took over 12 hours to see patient. When he performed surgery, he did not explain or communicated with family members before nor after surgery. We had to go around entire hospital looking for update. Patient was in recovery for over 3 hours & they just kept on saying we'll see how she's doing in 15 minutes....which turn into over 3 1/2 hours

I had a hip fracture,Fulp did the surgery he said I would be walking right away he leap telling me I was getting better over a year later they tell me I'm heeded I still couldn't walk so I went to 2 Drs had a second opinion they both said I need a hip replacement they told me to stop putting my weight on it using my walker because the hip bone was coming out of the socket so I had surgery found out the rod Fulp put in was putting a hole in my Pelvic bone The Worse ever

The person who answered the phone was short tempered with me, a new patient with no idea how to get to the office and making the appointment Not my idea of what a receptionist should be.

Although the doctor is not an issue those sisters in the front are extremely rude, how have they lasted so long?! Not seeing the doctor in follow visits isn't an issue, those sisters in the front are what greets you, and they always great you with a look of disappointment. Let's not even get started on their phone skills you. An literally feel their unhappiness, disappointment and utter rudeness over the phone.

I was given minimal information. An incesision that should be 1inch turns into 3-4 inches. Came to see me for 30 seconds after the surgery. Had horrible back spasms for 3 hours and no help given. I wish I had looked for another dr.

I have been in pain for 7 months and deteriorating physically due to an auto accident. Dr. Fulp was able to diagnosed the problem on our first visit, then prepare the medical intervention. I had my spinal injection this week, and for the first time since my auto accident have been able to sleep (pain and discomfort kept me up) and the pain discomfort and significantly reduced. Thank you, Dr. Fulp for helping me.

excellent orthopedic surgeon

Dr. Fulp is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. I have had surgery on my back and on one knee and I am able to do things that I could never do as the result. Not only is this Doctor highly knowledgeable and skilled at what he does, he takes and interest in his patients and addresses all of their concerns. His staff are also highly skilled in what they do and make you feel welcome as well. I would highly recommend this Doctor to you as I believe him to be one of the best.

my father in law had pins inserted in his hand . He was seen by Dr Fulp at the office . he followed up with him 4 weeks later and scheduled a removal of the pins. My father in law requested to see dr fulp and was made possible to see him in between his schedule. anyone who wants to see him just needs to ask . my father in law was never told Dr fulp would not see him.

Dr. Fulp is a delight to be around. A true professional who does his job and cares about the patient. Wonderful work by Him and his entire staff.

I am very satisfied with the previous back and knee surgeries that I have had with this Doctor. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for an orthopedic surgeon who know what he is doing.

MY son fractures his ankle in 2 places. DR FULP did surgery on him he healed nicely and recovered quickly. NO complications whatsoever it has been 5 years and he is doing great. I also like to add that my brother had 2 surgeries by DR FULP. One was shoulder. A year later was hand both tendons and ligament. My brother works in construction and never had any problems. Both my brother and my son were very satisfied with DR FULP. I recommend him highly. He is a great surgeon and has a kind heart.

my son broke his arm and was seen by dr fulp at rio grande regional. he did surgery on him and my son is fine. great Dr. We went to his office in McAllen several times after and got same type of care by his PA AND NP . I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM

Going to a doctor has not always been a pleasant experience for me, but Dr. Fulp and his staff put me to ease and was very attentive to my needs. They tended to my concerns and questions with a lot of care.

I'm a health care worker and have intensive care and emergency room experience, but when my daughter broke her arm me and my wife was a mess. After the xray from the ER, it confirmed our suspicion. We were a wreck at this time, then Dr. Fulp walks in and explained to us the extent of the injury and the need for immediate surgery. We waited for about an hour and she was in recovery, and we went home the next day. It seemed like a nightmare but Dr Fulp was there to help us.

Dr. Fulp was very interested in my case as an individual. He explained thoroughly the procedure and risks in a way i was able to understand. He addressed all my concerns. I was impressed by how he continues to show interest in my follow up appointments, as my bone is still healing. My husband liked that he was approachable and available and exceptionally sincere.
